Hello lovely ladies!!! I hope you are all doing well. TGIF!! Finally. I thought it would never get here.

Theresa, and Marcie are coming in to town tonight and we have fun plans for the weekend. :cool1: Tonight it's Zumanity and dinner, tomorrow Cheesecake Factory, concert/wine festival, and Kahunaville, and Sunday HOB Gospel Brunch, Chippendales and Voodoo Lounge.
I can't wait to see them again and have a nice time.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. :hippie:

Hi everyone. It's me.......disney-super-mom. Remember me? (LOL)

Okay, so um, I haven't been here in awhile. I've been socializing with a few of my Diva pals elsewhere. :rolleyes1

I'm really sorry. :flower3:  :flower3:

Vicki enjoy the time with your sweetie!

Thanks Kelly I am but it's going to fast! :sad2:He leaves again Sunday night for the week or at least I am hoping it is only for the week.

Have fun this weekend at the big BD party!:cool1:

I'll enjoy in doubly...enough for both of us!!

I'll keep a look out for your mom...I've only seen her picture so I'm not sure I'll recognize her but I'll try to see her!

It will be fun to see Zero fly!

I love the new commercials for Halloween. It's like the Kingdom Keeper books in that the villians take over the parks (or at least try too!)

If you do decide to go I'll keep an eye out for you too!! Would love to see you again and I hope it's not just a mad house this weekend. We are staying over Sat. night so if we need to we plan to get an early start on Sunday morning and do anything that we might have missed on Sat. or to do overs! This weekend might be the only weekend that the kids get to go during Halloween time. I don't think they'll be able to come for the Oct. Meet because of marching band.

I tried to just highlight what you said about keeping an eye out for me but it didn't seem to work. Anyway, I'll be wearing my black/red strap Mickey crocs, carrying a Small World tote, and my pin lanyard, does that help? LOL We'll probably be at the 4.00 p.m. Billy show.

I know we have PFF set for one of the mornings. Is there anyone who would be wanting to do Pixie Hollow? If there is interest, we can try to get a group, or something together and get it on the schedule. What do you think?

Hi - I will be on the look out! Not sure where we'll be at 4pm but I love Billie Hill so if we can send the kids off (who don't have patience for it). I am not as organized as you and I have no idea what I'll be wearing but I know I'll have my pink polka dot Mickey Bar bag.

Have fun and stay cool!

Good evening!

Disneyland was a zoo today! The park opened at 9am and I got my fastpass at 10:18am. There was a line to get a fastpass! I couldn't use my fastpass until 3:05pm! Wow!
I brought my new camera to test it out.
I took the little path past Snow White's wishing well and snapped a few photos.

I meandered into Fantasyland

I rode Peter Pan. I was in such a good mood that I didn't mind waiting the 30 minutes in line.

I continued on the Fantasyland to Frontierland trail and saw the ranch all dressed up for Halloween; too cute.

I saw that the HM line was out to nearly Cafe Orleans and decided I could wait to ride it another time. Now that I think of it, don't they have fastpass for the holidays? Or is just Christmas? I took the train from the New Orleans Station to Toontown station. I rode it's IASW and got back on the train to Main St. For the first time ever, I rode the omnibus (that's the double decker, right?) It was great!

The horse is getting a wet wipe down and it looked like he really enjoyed it.

My favorite shot of the castle.
2d71g8.jpg

We were dropped off in front of the castle and I decided to wander back into Tomorrowland. It was so hot and I saw many people had slushies so I got in line near the Matterhorn and bought my first souvenir cup! I got blue raspberry and cherry. It was SOOOOO goood. I also bought a bottle of water to chug afterward.

I rode Buzz lightyear two times in a row because the wait was only 10 minutes. I got my two highest scores ever! The first time around the ride stopped in the black tunnel right in front of the "hidden" diamond. So I shot that sucker until we started moving again.

The second ride I got stopped right before the tunnel where Zurg is moving back and forth with a diamond target and behind him is a triangle target.

I was in the zone!

FINALLY after that it was time to ride Ghost Galaxy! It was great! I loved the music and running from the space ghost.

After SM I headed home. It was bushed and the crowds only seemed to get bigger!

:sick:I hope CheryL is feeling better:hug:

Good morning ladies!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Dawn, Dave and I decided to do Italian last night. I had pasta with chicken artichokes and mushrooms covered in a pesto cheese kind of sauce. Yummy and rich. Dave had rack of lamb with a basalmic glaze. It was really good too.

Cristabel, Your camera took some really good pics!!! I can't wait to get on SM!!

If you guys are curious about the new fireworks, check out asianbma's thread. She? took a really good video of them. They look fabulous!!

Morning diva pals!

Oh Mel I haven't eaten yet and that made my mouth water! Probably not the best breakfast but YUM! ;)

Glad you had a nice time last night!!

Beth I hope, I KNOW, you Teresa and Marcie are going to have a BLAST this weekend! I can't WAIT to hear how the gospel brunch is so we know for our feb trip!!

Cristabel love the pics! Seems like that is a pretty good camera! Glad you had fun yesterday and love all the pics and updates you can give on your frequent visits! We can live vicariously through you!! ;) Did you happen to see if they are doing the cookie decorating in Big Thunder Ranch? My girls LOVE that and I know they are going to want to do that if they have it.

Thanks to all that wished me fun last night and today. We had the BEST time last night.

Let's just say that my aunt choosing to have it where she did was laughable to say the least. YC is kind of scungy and probably the LAST place anyone would pick to do anything. It is a puny little town and NOT desirable because there is NOTHING there. I have some VERY wealthy relatives from back east and I know my parents esp were really embarrassed that my aunt and uncle choose to have it in such a crappy place. My uncle was the President of Westinghoue and used to live in Saudi Arabia and last night in stayed in this little hole in the wall hotel RIGHT on the highway. But oh well. I didn't plan the thing LOL. But anyway we DID have a nice visit though. My aunt and uncle from Pittsburgh (the one who worked for Westinghouse) came out but none of their kids were able to make it. They have the daughter who lives in Hong Kong and they have one that lives in North Carolina and a son who lives in Norway so obviously none of them came because of the expense (not that they couldn't afford it but I guess they just didn't want to). I think at least some of them should have though because I don't know how much longer my uncle will be around but that is another story.

But then my uncle Tom's brother Richard came as well and he is from Kansas and his daughter Megan came with her two kids and they are from Colorado. Her brother John will be here today and he lives in LA.

My other aunt and uncle Tom and Richard's sister Barbara and her husband Charlie came up from San Diego. They have one daughter Heather but she couldn't make it. She lives in Texas I think. Then my uncle Ron came from Alaska and all three of his daughters. That was the MOST special to me as I spent a LOT of time with them growing up. I practically lived with them till I was in jr high. Stacy and Jennifer still live in Alaska and the middle daughter Monica lives in Florida but they were all there with some of their kids. Stacy's son is 24 and works up in Alaska and couldn't come and either could Monica's 2 oldest. They are in Alaska as well but she brought her youngest. But Jennifer brought all three of her kids.

My uncle George was out from Kansas as well and then a few other local relatives were there. So it was REALLY nice. Now today there will be the REST of the family that is local as well as a bunch of his friends. So it should be a LOT of fun. I plan to take pics and will post a few.

Anyway I hope everyone has a GREAT day and TTYL!

Of course we remember you! I actually haven't been on Facebook in awhile. My farm is probably rotten. Hope you're doing great :thumbsup2.

I love this idea . Nobody in my family ever wants to wait with me, so I've haven't met the fairies yet. Not sure when it will fit in the schedule, but I'm sure it will work. I'm going to check out the schedule to see where it may fit :thumbsup2.

Hey Divas! I know a couple of you have already seen these pictures but for those of you who read my last post and thought "What is she talking about with these pears?!" I am posting some pictures of them so you have a better idea. I put together a picture book of about 30 pictures of them playing in Disneyland and wrote a 4 minute story on their fun-filled fay at the Happiest Place on Earth. I presented it to my class (Speech Arts for Children) on Thursday and am thrilled to report I got an A on it! I even got the approval to create another one for my next assignment. I have to teach kids something so any auggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated! :flower3:

A special THANKS to Dawn for helping me with the idea of creating a book about the prefect pair and for the great picture suggestions! :goodvibes Dawn created the girl (Bartlett) and I created the male (Bosc). Bartlett and Bosc are types of pears and I thought it was cute to play with the words.

Yay for A's!

Brianne--what if you introduce another type of fruit (maybe an apple or something?) to teach a lesson about different isn't necessarily a bad thing? LIke maybe the pears are initially not nice to the apple, but then the apple saves them or something and they realize the apple is a good fruit? Just a thought.

Kelly - I didn't walk into Big Thunder Ranch because it was overrun with people so I didn't get to see if they were doing the cookie decorating again this year.

I'm happy my pictures turned out well. On the camera screen they don't look so great so I wasn't sure.

Yay for A's!

Thanks! I was thinking I would use a different kind of fruit or vegetable or something for the next one...I could teach them manners or something. IDK yet. Keep you posted though! =)
