Good morning Divas!

I'm very happy to hear that Brandy is out of surgery and on her way to healing.

I put a VERY HOT compress on my eye last night. My eye looks and feels much better today - YAY

Hee hee hee, guess what I remembered? I was going over all the stuff I need to do in the next 8 days, and thinking about my final class projects/papers and such, when suddenly an epiphany.......OMG, FEB 21st IS JUSTIN'S BIRTHDAY!!!

I'm glad I remembered. I would've felt horrible if I had forgotten! But when am I going to have time to plan anything for that? Maybe I can bake a cake, iron, cook a birthday dinner, pay the bills, clean the house, tutor at the school, do a PowerPoint, and write a special education management plan all at the same time?

I'm just warning you all.....if I show up naked on the girls trip, you'll know it's because I either forgot or didn't have time to pack.

At least I will know who you are on the plane!

8 days! Woo Hoo!

Just wanted to show off my new ticker! I'm 36 lbs lighter than I was when I went to the mini meet in September! Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Just back from my dance class.....and it totally kicked my butt. Plus, it appears that I need to know another language too. Not as easy as I thought it was going to be. But still fun.

Hmm, are they covering hula and Tahitian? What fun. I keep saying I'll do that someday.

Ok--Brandy update--got out of surgery an hour ago--in lots of pain so they are admitting her for the night.

They've "pinned" her arm somehow to her body with a brace and she can't move it for THREE WEEKS. She is going to be ticked off when she wakes up and realizes this.

Afternoon gals!

First of all Sara I am SO proud of you!! I have done SO bad! I think I have GAINED 10 lbs since our trip last year. Maybe even more. I am afraid to get on the scale. I started out ok at the beginning of the year but then I would lose a pound and then gain it right back and I just haven't been motivated. I haven't felt good and have had a LOT of stuff going on so I am just NOT in the right frame of mind. Now it is so close to the trip I figure why bother. I KNOW there is going to be a lot of bad eating but once it is over I HAVE to get serious and do something because my clothes are NOT going to fit soon and I don't want to look like a fat pig if we go to DL this summer and esp if mom and I take the cruise in oct! So that is going to be my motivation, to lose for those trips!!!

I can't wait to see how amazing you look and I KNOW you do!!

Beth that weather sounds perfect! The zoo was awesome and mom and I kept commenting how we hope the weather is the same on our trip and how a week from now we will be on our way etc etc. It was a nice little break! She hasn't done ANYTHING with the girls and I in a LONG time! We had lunch at the zoo and then stopped at leatherbys for some ice cream. It was fun!

She went on to work and now the girls and I are home. It was a perfect day! I am looking forward to our movie day tomorrow and possibly some other fun stuff on Friday after work.

Not long now gals!! So excited!!!!Off to watch Lost! C ya!

Hi ladies--well it's 2:30 and I am just getting to work. First, at 8:45 this morning I got a text from Brandy's boyfriend that they were on their way to my house from the hospital. So of course I had to wait and see her. Essentially she spent the night in ICU and they didn't tell me--but she is ok now--other than lots of pain. When I left at 10:30 she was lying down with an icepack. And about an hour ago she was taking pain meds when I texted her. I went straight from home to Mom's assisted living and picked up her and all her stuff, stopped at the grocery store to get things on her list, took her home, unloaded groceries, unloaded the laundry (sheets, etc.) I had done, made her bed up fresh and took out the trash. By then it was 1:45 p.m. So I stopped at Starbucks for caffeine and Del Taco for shrimp tacos (they're BACK!!!) and am at work. Oh and called a client on the way between all those places. Whew! I'm tired and I haven't even started "working"--tonight our other "bestie" is coming over to see our girl and I'm going to run to the local Japanese place for some tempura udon. (Oh, and don't tell me it was bad for me, but I was so tired and stressed last night that dinner was half a peanut butter sandwich and Cheetos.)

Ok, other than that I did pick up my candy last night (hope it's not melting in the car) along with another little treat. So I'm PARTIALLY ready for next week.

Beth, please *stop obsessing* about the weather. It will change another half dozen times before we get there next week. If it gets too hot, I'll take you for a raspberry sparkler at Wine Country Trattoria. It's my favorite drink with champagne and rasberry frambois. Or would you prefer an all out, hard liquor cocktail at the cove bar? Either way, I'll be happy to help you feel better, and beat the heat.

I'm going too--in fact, my goal is to have an alcoholic beverage in my hand as much as possible on the Diva trip.

No it's her left arm and she's right-handed. She's gotten really good texting with one hand--better than I can do with two.

It is quiet here today. I've been resting most of the day. I'm bored of it now, but don't really have much energy. No fever or cough or anything, just feeling drained. If this keeps up, I'll be moving pretty slow through the parks next week, and doing lots of bench warming.

Hi everyone. I just dropped my mom off at home and now I'm heading home. They still don't know what's wrong as all the tests were negative. They want her to go see a cardiologist.

Thanks for all the well wishes. You gals are great!!

I hope she is doing well. Make sure she gets it all looked at carefully and doesn't get some cardiologist that blows it off. Women heart problems are way different then mens.

Jill, I am so sorry to hear this. Was her original surgery at UCLA? I gather the drainage was done at the doctor's office?

for my buddy Tina who said she needed one. Just think, we're all going to be seeing each other in person so soon! I am feeling bad for poor Vicki because if it ends up raining on Sat that will make two scavy hunts in the rain for her... Okay, looking for that rain jacket now....

Her original surgery was at Fountain Valley Hosp...they airlifted her to UCLA

I'm mentally and emotionally exhausted. Trying to fight with a CRIMINAL who took our money for that first condo in Maui and is being a super smooth, acting like he's doing us a big favor, but being a JERK, about refunding a portion of our money. This is just wearing me out!

Totally off topic but I just had to share:

dd(12) just got her first period OMg! I told myself I would be prepared, but I was totally unprepared, and now I have to run to the store first thing in the morning. Poor little thing, she's soooo private and I can tell that she really doesn't even want to discuss it at all.

oh my....my DD is 11 1/2....so I know this will be coming soon. She is very petite and has no ****s or other maturing features yet. I'm hoping she's a late bird!! Any tips from those who have gone thru this already recently? Anything you wishes you had covered, but forgot?

Callie, with the way the pricing is structured, isn't it only $8 more for the 5 day? I would be tempted to get it, I think 2-3 hours in the park is worth $8!

The eval is over, and the lady doing it was nice. She seemed hopeful and said that if he scored in, I would know by the end of the week. If it has to go to a doctor for medical review then she will let me know and it can take up to 3 weeks. I pray we get it this time.

I hope the review goes well and you get the services you want.

Hello everyone. Thanks to everyone for the good thoughts and well wishes. I'm feeling much better but really thought I was having 'the big one' on Monday morning. It runs in my family. I need to see my regular doctor and I guess have some follow up tests, as well as see a cardio doc.
I just want all of you to know I have the best daughter in the whole wide world !!!! and to you Sarah !!!!
Nothing is going to keep me away from the trip, Sarah even said she'd push me around in a wheel chair if need be. I'm sure I'll be fine, I'll just stay off the Mountain rides. See you all soon !!!!!!!!!!!!
