Illness, job loss, issues with friends, spouses, money, children, school, water heaters and life. I am just sitting here around watching the Olympics doing my German homework. I made BLTA's for dinner. They were yummo!
Our dryer went out yesterday (nope not a breaker. DBF is an electrician, he checked everything out), so I am going to Sear's tmrw they are having a 25%off sale on Energy Star appliances.

Okay I am just fired up mad!!! My daughter's school is now on a two hour delay for tomorrow. That means that my son will not have school.....two weeks now!. He is in the AM public preschool because of his speech. He was so excited before he went to sleep about getting to go to school tomorrow. He only goes Monday thru Thursday. So, now he won't get a chance to go until Monday. With the two hour delay the afternoon gets to go....so not fair for him!!!

Rough day today. After school today 2 high schoolers from my daughters school (Sultan High School) pulled out in front of a motorcycle on Hwy 2 and killed the driver of the motorcycle. Both the kids were not hurt physically but mentally they are a mess. To make things worse the man killed is from Sultan and the family is known in the community. His daughter goes to school with my son and his son is a firefighter in Sultan. Bad night in our small community.

Hey, I'm waiting for my Nyquil to kick in, too! I hate being sick. I was doing so well this year. I was the sick child growing up and it's all my mom's fault because as a baby I never got the bb. Yeah, my older sister AND younger sister were both breast fed but I got stuck with formula. It's my excuse for my asthma and allergies too!

My nose is just pouring! It's not really like a regular cold but like when I get allergies but I haven't been around any cats! I hope it goes away...like NOW. I hate being the gross one in class. It was so weird because I was actually feeling okay and then I showered and once I settled in class, it just started.

I need to start printing lists.

I'm buying some snacks at walmart, anyone want me to pick up anything for them? You can just reimburse me at the M & G.

I just wanted to check in and say good morning. I'm excited for all of you getting together in such a short time. Still wish I was going though! I hope all of you with the crud get over that, so you can have a terrific time!

That is a terrible thing that happened in Sultan. That Hwy 2 is such a disaster waiting to happen. The traffic just forces people to feel desperate about getting onto the road, and add teenage drivers to that mix with a low visibility motorcycle. I am really sorry to hear about that and will pray that all involved find some peace in their hearts.

One week, one week! YAY!!! So ready for this trip I tell ya!

First off Patty I am so sorry to hear about what happened in your town. That is such a tough one for all involved. My prayers go out to everyone involved!

Cheryl hope things are going well today with Brandy and your momma!! And you too of course!!

Callie good luck on the list and Capri is right, last year she, Deb, mom and I shared a cab and it was cheap and QUICK! Worked out well! I don't mind shuttles but I don't like having to wait for them OR having to wait for them to go to OTHER hotels. The great thing about a cab is it takes you directly to your hotel although we aren't staying at the hojo but he can take you guys there first and then take us to ours.

Beth hope you are feeling better today and don't worry about the list. I feel the same way but I am not going to stress over it. I "think" I have pretty much everything done but if not so be it. We will manage and the important thing is we will have fun no matter what!!

Wendy sooo glad you are coming girl and remember look for my bag at the M&G that's all I am saying And hey you are ALWAYS welcome to come along with us. Anytime! Love to have ya! We were going to finally go see Percy Jackson today but last night someone left a half full coke on the coffee table and the girls slept downstairs and the knocked it over and it sat on the table all night long and RUINED the wood. I am furious! It was a solid oak table and it is completely ruined now. I NEVER let them eat or drink in there on purpose and honestly I think it was Shane's coke from dinner but I am pretty upset about it cuz my computer is about to die and we REALLY need a new bed and now our coffee table is ruined. GRRRR. It is always something. Can't catch a stupid break. I told the girls they NEED to get their butts upstairs and clean their rooms and I found out last night they haven't been doing any of their reading that they were supposed to be doing over the break either so until they catch up on some of that stuff we won't be doing ANY thing else! They need to learn that they don't get treats unless they uphold their end!!

Anyway so it looks like I will be working round here today doing laundry and cleaning house. WHOOPEE! Then tonight is survivor and we need to run to Sam's club but not sure if we will wait till the weekend. Shane is taking his contractors license test for the 3rd time next Friday so he is going to the school again every night this week and next studying. SOOO we shall see. Tomorrow I have to go in to work and as I said we have no basketball this Sat cuz of the holiday so we may just go to sam's then.

Well, I ended up answering the phone at o'dark thirty and it was the school message system saying that school was cancelled because of lots of ice on the roads. So, we now have both kiddos at home. Meghan and Donovan were really disappointed that they were home again today. Well, hubby is off today, so we are going to clean up around the house and go grocery shopping after the ice has had a chance to get treated. Toys are everywhere since the kids haven't had school in ages!!!

Hey all! First of all, thanks to so many for the bday wishes over on FB! I really appreciated them!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but DLR just sucked yesterday! I know, happiest place on earth on my bday, right, how could it be bad? The weather was great, but it was issue after issue at DLR. Lines were terrible. 45 minute wait for Buzz Lightyear? Mid week? PP was almost an hour, Storybook Canal was 45 min! BTMRR was shut down when we were over there. Pirates was 30 min. wait, but we had a ressie and needed to be there sooner, then it was shut down when we got out. Went to DCA and TSMM was closed down, had been the entire day. ToT had about 45 minute wait, Soarin' had 55 minute wait and was out of fast passes.
So, even though I was there 10:30-3:30 I went on 1 ride--Jungle! And Zoe was in rare form. You have to give kids bonus points for figuring out the most inconvenient times to be pissy!
I have to give props for lunch, courtesy of my dad and step mom, at Blue Bayou. We waited an extra 10 minutes and were waterfront! Had never done that. Food and service was great.
Got home and took a nap, then went to Red Robin for dinner. Had a pretty good time there. Love their fries!

I did not start the Drink Around the Monorail. That was Dagny's baby from previous trips she's been on.

I just jumped right in saying it was a good idea and it should be added to our trips. I'm all for watching people drink and get tipsy. I'm an instigator!! (sp?)

Think if I ever get back to a Diva trip I will make a shirt and put Tipsy Tart Member on it.

Good morning friends--I can't believe that one week from now we (at least most of us) will be on our way towards DLR. I have so much to do between now and then that it's kinda stressing me out, but overall I really can't wait to get there!

Keep your fingers crossed ladies--our university president has declared a hiring freeze, which affects me in two ways.

1. I am currently chairing a search for a vacancy in my office and while it's a lot of work to be on the search committee, we could really use the extra staff member next year.

2. The job that Dave was applying for is also on my campus and is on hold as well. I was really hoping that things would work out for him to come back to my school, but right now that's up in the air too. However, his current job seems to be "safer" than it did a few weeks ago, so I am continuing to have faith that all will work out in the end.

Off to grab some caffeine motivation and then to the first of the 7 meetings/events I have to attend today!
