Tina, Kelly and Wendy, You'd have a ball helping us out. It's alot of work, but fun too. We usually have about 50 people helping out during the rush hours. We have 2 huge BBQs with about 12 guys working the steaks. Cook about 13 big stock pots full of homemade beans per day. About 6,000 sandwiches a day. Kind of curious what this year is going to bring, cuz of rain.

I can't believe our time is so close. Woo hoo!

So........ who else is coming to Vegas with us in June?!?!?!?

By the time we get back from this trip, it will then be almost exactly 3 months until the Vegas trip. That's a nice respectable amount of time to wait in between vacations, don't ya think?

Well I have some good news from me... My Mom got the job!!!

She starts in March after our trip and they offered her $1 more than orginally planned. She's SO happy and thanks all of you for the wonderful wishes.

I am so happy for your mom! I figured she would get it from what she had said on Sat. I can't wait to see both of you again!

I will be extremely busy for the next few days. It's our school's annual HUGE fundraiser this week. In 3 days time, we will sell over $150,00.00 dollars in steak sandwiches. We cut, season all the meat ourselves. We have a big booth at the Ag show in Tulare. 12 windows open with about 20 in each line during the rush. It's crazy. We always get on the news for our booth. Someday we are going to call the FoodNetwork about us. Anywhos, yours truly, along with another lady are in charge of all that money! I'm on my way now to help out with the cutting. Yesterday I sliced and diced a forklift full of onions! Now I have to go back and do another load. We grill them for the sandwiches. Yum. Our whole school shuts down for this event, so everyone can help. Gotta go!

Oh no...Snow can be pretty but I DO NOT miss the snow. It is so frustrating - I am glad that you have good neighbors. When I was first on my own I didn't have a snow shovel...I know dumb not to have a snow shovel in Denver. We had a huge snow storm and all I had was a rack...so there I was using a rack trying to move the snow from in front of my garage. I'm sure my neighbors thought I was nuts but they could have offered to let me use their shovels, don't you think??

SUPER IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING NAME TAGS & LANYARDS

In an effort to keep things simple and not divide the work amongst too many people, I -- ummmm, I mean Dan will be printing out ALL the name tags. Nobody will be printing their own. I will be bringing them to the meet & greet where I will have people come see me (so I'm not running around like a crazed woman like last year), to get their name tags and/or lanyards. I will either set up a table just outside or just inside the party room, so you can grab your name tag/lanyard on your way into the party. Sound good?

Well, the update is not good. She is having surgery Thursday to put 11 screws and a plate in her arm--she broke it in two places and tore three muscles. And she was DRIVING. She came by the office on her way from emergency to the ortho guy to show me her x-rays--driving a Hummer with one hand. She's crazy (but I love her to death). She was going to her boyfriend's work to drop off her Hummer and he was driving her from there.

Sorry you've had a not so great February, Cheryl. I hope things start to look up for you soon. I am looking forward to seeing you!
