Good morning ladies!
I'm so happy I don't have school today or tomorrow. I'll be heading back to school tomorrow in the afternoon though because I have homework to do and possibly grocery shopping.

Can you believe it, 10 more days?

Today we're going to a barbecue at the home of a church member. I'm looking forward to some good food!

I'm looking at the 10 day forecast and it only goes up until Wednesday the 24th.
Yahoo! weather (which is also the Weather Channel) is saying that it will be partly cloudy and 66 degrees. MSN weather is saying there will be rain and a high of 51 degrees.

So who knows? No one knows!
I can update you the weather every day this week and the beginning of next so you can pack accordingly.

We picked a theme for Zoe's bday finally. It's Pirate princess and we're doing a scavenger hunt in the park. That way she can invite however many people she wants and boys or girls are ok.

I also have Friday and Saturday off so hopefully we're going to Vancouver to see some Olympic festivities!

I have a friend up there who told me how much there is to see. What fun!

Oh for goodness sakes. All the rain that was gone from the forecast yesterday is now back!! It went from showing Thurs. the 25th just yesterday as sunny and 73, to now showing it as rain and 62 again. And now it says Sat. the 27th will have rain and thunderstorms.

I wish they'd make up their mind. Yes, I know it's not an exact science and will probably continue to change, BUT I'd like to have some inkling on how to pack. I don't do layers so that won't work for me.

Oh well, just ignore me. I'm just griping.

No, it's okay, we need to know all the possibilities, This is the kind of weather we've been having, up and down. I'm going to get my thin rain jacket out. That usually makes the rain go away.

Most of you know of all the closures, but I didn't see this one until today:
Tomorrowland Terrace (Disneyland) closed through 7/2/10 for refurbishment. Jedi Training Academy will continue to be offered while the restaurant is closed.

Beth, step away from the forecast! You can look next weekend and decide then. It will be cool at night so you already know you will need a sweater or something, and you should probably bring something for rain because even if is says it won't just before we leave, it might anyway. I hate layers too. I just wear a shirt and throw on a jacket if I am going to be out all day just in case though.

Thanks Cristabel but I think I am going to ignore you until at least Sunday. Otherwise I will end up packing/unpacking/repacking every day! I figure it will be cool at night and cool to warm during the day and it might rain or not. A couple of my shirts are long sleeve and I will have my hoodie and will probably bring my North Face coat without the liner in case it decides to rain (plus it will probably be raining here when I leave and get back) and that should cover it.

Thanks, that is good to know. I rarely eat at Tomorrowland Terrace because it kind of a non-event for me so I only eat there if the park is crowded and I get hungry when I am in the area and don't want to fight the crowds somewhere else. I am hoping to eat at Redd Rocket's this trip though, I've only eaten there a couple of times.

Does anyone think we should have a sign-up for Billy Hill so we will know how many tables we will need, and then have people volunteer to get there early to save the tables? I was kind of hoping to catch the parade that afternoon but if I need to get there early I will.

Thanks everyone. We are still in the ER. They want to run a bunch of tests, do a chest x-Ray and I don't know what else. They already did another EKG. She seems to be feeling a little better from the nitroglycerin so hopefully it's nothing too serious. But better to be safe than sorry.
Actually I know she's feeling a little better because she wanted me to take a picture of her in the hospital bed so she can put it on Facebook. Lol.

D-Get that raincoat out! I just purchased a new small umbrella for my park bag today, so that will also help keep the rain away! Yay!


I had one of the docs at work give me an antibiotic Sat night, I'm finally starting to feel better. We took the boys to the zoo to get some fresh air and enjoy the sun. I think it did us all some good to get out. We've disinfected the whole house, Bruce even cleaned the carpets yesterday. Germs be gone!

I just sent Bruce for a BigMac and Oreo McFlurry that I'm craving. Yum!

Cheryl I hope you're having a good day. Tell Brandy I'm thinking of her, and pray her surgery goes off without a hitch tomorrow. I pray that God gives you and your Mom clarity to make the best decision for you both. I'm glad she's feeling better also.

I'm getting out my suitcase today!! I got my hair cut and colored last week. I'm getting tired of the natural highlights I've started to grow, there's too many to use tweezers on!!!

coming up for air quickly...just wanted to say Hi...belated happy Valentines Day to you all! Looking forward to the trip.......soooo much!!
Steve's dad finally came home from the hospital yesterday...hoping he does better at home this time. Steve's really keeping on him to eat and move around, to keep from going down hill. His new chemo is working out a little better it seems too.

My "army son's" wife's mom died yesterday. They are like my own kids and lived across the street for 19+. Her mom was only 46, had heart surgery a few months ago, and had fluid building up around her heart. She went in Sat to have it drained and they punctured something and she bled out and died 3 times on the table. They put her on life support and flew her to UCLA...but she was gone. They kept her alive until the kids could get here, although Travis couldn't get off base until tomorrow due to the holiday weekend They turned everything off last night she went quickly. Its so sad and they are pregnant w/ their first baby due in a few months, would have been her mom's 1st grandchild. Its terrible and has me just in a fog the last 24 hours.
I've been trying to read and catch up but I'm still 8 pages behind.
Hugs and prayers to those in need! Time for everything to be calm and everybody stay well so that nothing causes problems on the trip or traveling!
