Nope--never seen it--or Toy Story--or Monsters Inc.

Terrible isn't it?

I guess I'm just an old-school kinda girl.
Seriously missing out. Almost as good as the movies is the story of Pixar. Really interesting.

I have never, ever, worn a tiara......I don't own and never have owned a tiara......I've never even met a princess.

Damn boys! (JK :goodvibes )

All boys in my house too. Except the pup. I just bought her a pink bandana and the menfolk were disgusted, but I reminded them she is a girl.

I think that we can make it work with minimal impact on the VIP tour IF there is someone who is willing to bypass PFF. I would love to meet the princesses, but if no one else steps up, I can be the one to meet the plaid and bring them back towards the rest of the :grouphug:

They have not said where to meet the plaid yet. Maybe we could just have them meet us at the PFF. I am undecided if I will be doing it or not, but don't mind meeting up there.

Am I the only one in the group who is a ride kind of person? You know, the kind of person that likes to get on as many rides as possible.

I love to do the rides!

Beth - Is it too late to get them added to the 5pm sitting for the CC on Friday? I noticed there is one spot open - can we squeeze two in? Shall I PM you?
Well I got to go run some errands! :moped:

By the way BETH: Finally heard from the VIP arranger lady and she said she has us booked at 4:30 for CC. So, I am wondering if more people want to eat earlier, so more of us can be together, or what? I don't know how many of the VIP folks are on the CC list anyhow, but we do now have 10 more seats:)

:

Do you or any of the other ladies want to meet up somewhere Thursday afternoon and hit some rides? :cheer2: ::yes::

I don't get in until 3, but I am going to hit some rides before the pizza party. I don't know when it is supposed to start but I hope it will be around when DL closes:thumbsup2

All I know is that I will have access to FOUR drink tickets (as hubby really doesn't drink) and that's going to be amusing. :upsidedow
Can't wait to hear those stories:)

I will be PMing everyone the phone list once it's complete so they can look over the numbers and make sure there are no errors, then we will have a small, laminated one to hand out. January has actually volunteered to make the small laminated ones for us.

Thank You January!

:offtopic:

I know some of you have bought Grab Bags of pins from Mouse Pins.

I bought some last year from someone down in San Diego and was very happy with what I received--but now cannot for the life of me remember who it was? Any ideas?

Ok--enough fiddle farting around at the office--off to get a cut and color!

I bought a grab bag from Mousepins. It was okay. There was maybe 5 pins that my kids wanted to keep, and we are trading the rest.

Awe! That was so nice of you Beth, but we all know that you are the glue that is holding us all together, so Thank You!

I go out for a couple hours this afternoon and you ladies fill up 5 pages? Good grief!

So, where's all the Saturday nighters? I went to the mall with my son and bought a new Wii game. So I'm on my second glass of wine while watching my family play this hilarious Rayman Raving Rabbids game.

I completely agree with the "Good Grief". Impossible to keep up with these gals! I have been busy packing and planning for Feb. 14 trip. It seems like it is too soon, but yet I feel like I have so much to make sure not to forget!

We have the Raving Rabbids. It is hilarious!

I was born in 1961--take that you youngens!!!!! I had my DD8 when I was just turning 39, so young kid, old woman!!!

:

Well, glad to see another 60's gal. I am 1966. My youngest was born at age 36 and boy do I sometimes question my sanity.

Like Callie said, you are a VERY chatty group!!

You are the fearless leader, we all bow to your awesomeness!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

So far, there's only 3 people who are older than me: Cheryl, Melody, and Amy. My first concert was Journey, Eddie Money, & Pat Benatar. What made it so memorable was the people I was with. My BFF and I were with my BF and his friend in an old beater car. We had a keg in the trunk (none of us were old enough to drink!) and had the tube come in through the back seat! Memories. :grouphug: What a blast! But... I"m so glad I'm not a teenager anymore! Too much garbage!!!

Hey we must be about the same age. My first concert was Journey too. That Steve Perry was HOT! I saw Pat Benatar too!

I'm 1969. My 40th bday is next month.

Happy Birthday!

Oh, and Jane, I have been to Jimmy Buffet too, but I have to say, I am not a Parrot Head. HaHa, a Parrot Head that is a Princess and was married in a castle:rotfl:

I was born in 1985. :rolleyes1

My first concert was 311 with Sugar Ray.

Did I just make anyone feel REALLY old? :rotfl:

I can't believe how close the trip is. The days are going by scary fast.

So you were born during my first year of veterinary school. HOw can that be?????

One of my biggest regrets is that I never got to see the Monkees in person--LOL. That Davy Jones--now there was a man!

I saw them!! I saw the Monkees, Herman and the Hermits and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap at the Blossom Music center (outdoor venue) in about 19987!!!! Went with a gang of women, and we had a riot!!!!

I will be at DL tomorrow with my dd8 and two young adults from work. I have threatened them with leaving them at the park if they continue to call me Dr. during a social event!!! It'll be fun. I'll be able to relate to the young ones at the meet after doing DL with a 23 and 26 year old!!!

So, I will keep my eyes peeled in DL for Cheryl, Michelle and Stacie!!!

The trip is coming closer. Just tonight I warned my DH that I was attending a DVC thing. I think I scared him a bit,

So you were born during my first year of veterinary school. HOw can that be?????

You think that's bad--she was born three years AFTER I graduated from law school!!!! Sheesh!

I saw them!! I saw the Monkees, Herman and the Hermits and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap at the Blossom Music center (outdoor venue) in about 19987!!!! Went with a gang of women, and we had a riot!!!!

I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!!!!

We'll keep our eyes peeled for you too--although chances are at this point that I may not be going into the parks--but we'll see

The trip is coming closer. Just tonight I warned my DH that I was attending a DVC thing. I think I scared him a bit,

LOL--no need for him to be scared--I'm sure it will be very low-key (although from the little I know it sounds like it's going to be nice

AMySUe

Ok--I'm going to Dis a little more and then hit the hay!

I have never been on GRR and I have only done Splash once because I don't think that walking around in wet clothes is fun either, but I will pack a poncho for the March trip as I have been told by Beth that not riding those two rides is not a option!
Got that right! And thanks for reminding me to buy some ponchos! :thumbsup2

But no TOT for me. I was with the mini group in Oct and was like Cheryl. Holding on for dear life, only there is nothing to hold onto! Except maybe your neighbors leg!
I sat in the front row, or maybe it was the second row, but it was on the far side and there was a handle to hold on to! I was so grateful for that. It helped a lot and it made it seem less terrifying. lol

I was born in 1985. :rolleyes1
Yeah, yeah.

OKay, well that's good! But now what do you think is the best way to handle this? We have more seats then we need. Shall I remove all the VIPers, since you all have your own 4:30 time, and then condense the remaining names in the hopes of not needing one of the PS times?

:rotfl2:

I only *wish* I could have seen the Monkeys in the 70's. They were SO COOL!:lmao:

I also loved Barry Williams, Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy. Never got into Donny Osmond, but had friends who did.

I love how we are such a fun and accepting group that it doesn't matter how old (or young) anyone is, they are still welcome.:grouphug:

Holy cow, I'm behind!
Ummm, I don't do tiaras and probably will skip PFF. It makes me angry (Molly knows all to well my feelings about that place). Is that ok??
I think we may have be separated at birth.

OH TINA!! I'm wondering if we should set up a time for a big group of us to head on over to the 'Shoe to see our boyfriend. I'm sure everyone will want to see us swoon  (no, I don't think there will be any catfight, ladies. Sorry to disappoint). Tina and I have come to an understanding that we share our beloved Kirk. Just don't anyone else get any ideas of wanting a piece of him. There's only enough for me and Tina. :love1:
That's right, ladies, don't mess with us or our man!

Yes yes yes!! If we can "shoe"-horn it in, that is!

And not to make Tina jealous or anything, but I think the last time I was with you at a Billy show Kirk was really giving you the eye . . . . .

Don't try to make me jealous Cheryl!
The Billys are like Jello. There's always room for them. No problem fitting them into our schedule.
Callie, word on the street is that Kirk is now working Thursdays-Mondays. Go to the park on Thursday, and we'll have a private preview before the others figure out the hotness that is Kirk and take our front row seats. We can also plan for Friday any time before our Carnation Cafe seating, Saturday after the hunt or Sunday after your Brunch. I'm flexible, so whatever works for you is fine with me.

I'm feeling older as the posts are added...

1970
1971 here.

One of my biggest regrets is that I never got to see the Monkees in person--LOL. That Davy Jones--now there was a man!

I've seen Davy Jones and Herman's Hermits a few times at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. He's a cute litle guy!

And Beth.......we should all be thanking you for starting this. None of this would have happened without you!:cheer2:

Seriously missing out. Almost as good as the movies is the story of Pixar. Really interesting.

Can't wait to hear those stories:)

Ooh I totally agree about the Pixar story, I *love* watching that! It was on Comcast On Demand for awhile, but now we can watch it on the WallE DVD too. I try to come up with a timeline for what those guys were doing...I mean, they were part of George Lucas's company...just so cool. And I love that Lasseter was a Jungle Cruise guy. If I ever see him in the parks, first I'll do this :flower3: and then I'll do this :faint: . Please someone get a picture of him with me while I'm passed out, OK?

Absolutely lack of work-party stories:

Alas, the bartenders there didn''t believe in putting actual alcohol in their drinks, LOL. Sure tasted good, but the vodka might have simply been water for as tipsy as I did NOT get. And Robert stole one of MY drink tickets (that, um, he earned by working there) to have an orange juice/seltzer water, grr....

Eh, that's OK. We were called away right before the end of the party (which gave us a head start at the coat check) by a small boy who wasn't totally convinced that we were going to come back and get him. He had a great time with MIL, but was very concerned that we had forgotten him. Poor dude. But I'm sure, especially since we left as immediately as possible after he had grandma call us, that tomorrow he's going to start campaigning for more alone time with her. :upsidedow

OK I'm freezing and need to put some arnica all over my toes. I wore those evil DVC function shoes (toocherie and, hmm, califgirl (is that right, Cheryl? is that who was there, too?) know the shoes I'm talking about), thinking "eh, I've broken them in now, it'll be OK", and I was so so SO wrong. :sad2: So off I go, hobbling down the hall, shivering as I go. 'night!

Good Morning! Today starts our 2 day moving marathon. On your marks...

I probably won't be on much at all until tuesday. You all will have added another 200 pages to the thread by then I'm sure! If you all have something really important for me to see and read (or you think I'll just find it really funny/fascinating!) then please pm me.

I glanced through all that I missed yesterday, and see that you need to know that I was born in 1974 and that my first concert (and only concert *blush*) was to see Billy Joel.

OK, talk with you all later!

Oh, and I wanted to add...I don't think I will do PFF after all. I've never been to DLR before, and am doing the VIP tour that day. I would love to just have an hour to explore by myself before the tour starts. I'm also hoping to meet a Princess or two at Ariel's on Thursday. I know you all will understand! I want to find a happy medium between group activities and just enjoying the park. :grouphug:

Morning everyone!! Happy Sunday.

I am meeting Jane and Amy this morning for some Disney outlet shopping and some lunch at the Tommy Bahama Cafe. :cool1:

Amy, have fun at DL and I hope you run into Cheryl, Michelle and Stacie who are meeting to plan the pizza party.

Heather, good luck moving.

And Jen (grizbuzz) is running a marathon today!! Let's cheer her on!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

OK, off to start getting ready. I'll check in later. :wave2:

Was that before or after Milli Vanilli were outed as fakes?

I saw them BEFORE they were outed... it explained a lot in terms of why the concert sounded so good!

Oh, and Jane, I have been to Jimmy Buffet too, but I have to say, I am not a Parrot Head. HaHa, a Parrot Head that is a Princess and was married in a castle:rotfl:

It just makes me more interesting! I bought my niece a pin at DL right before Christmas that describes me so well: "Princesses can be pirates too" princess: pirate:

I promise not to feel old if you let me treat you like you're my youngest brother. He was born when I was 15, which means '85. :)

The same thing happened in my family! My parents had my sister when I was 14 going on 15. I was mortified at the time to think that my parents were doing the same things as some of my classmates! But, of my 3 siblings, she is the one that I am closest to and I thank God that I finally got a sister. Although, she is not/has never been the girlie girl that I hoped for. She is all pirate: , but her new girlfriend seems to be a princess:

Morning everyone!! Happy Sunday.

I am meeting Jane and Amy this morning for some Disney outlet shopping and some lunch at the Tommy Bahama Cafe. :cool1:

See you in just a little bit!

Geez......I go see the fights last night and come here this morning and it seems like you ladies have been talking non stop. Damn!

:surfweb: hmmmm

so umm what was the inappropriate graphic? popcorn::

Stripper shoes? :p

Not stripper shoes. Take away the shoes part of that, and put it on a support ribbon and that will be pretty much it. And yeah, I did it all on my own. ;) Isn't that right Beth???

Are you going to be there that early on Thursday?? Oooh, I'll be there and might be interested in going to Pixie Hollow.......

So did anyone figure out if it would be feasible to go the PFF before the tour on Friday? If not, that's okay, but it would be great if it is possible :cheer2:

I plan on being there right after I drop DD off at school. She likes to be at school by about 7:15, then it just depends on traffic. A ride that can take me less than 10 mins can take longer when there is morning rush.

My first concert was Debbie Gibson.:thumbsup2 1988. I was 11 years old.

My first concert was Stacey Q opening for the Jets. My parents took me. The first real concert I went to where I stood in line for tickets was Bon Jovi.

I'm with you --no Subs of Death for me either. (Have you done the Observation Room instead?)

I have never done the observation room and want too. I didn't care for the subs.

eh, I only get tags that are weight related.:rotfl:

Well my all have to do with poop, butts or hooters. Be glad.

:rolleyes1 I'm still all alone??? :rolleyes1 What gives? :confused3

:bored:

I'll go have a dum-dum while I wait. . . . :smokin:

Thought about you yesterday. DD bought dum-dums to pass out to friends for V-Day.

Thanks for being a pinch older than me, somehow makes me feel better!!!

We can always bring up the rear with our walkers!!!!

:) AmySue

Just remember to bring dry socks and you will be all good.

I was born in 1985. :rolleyes1

My first concert was 311 with Sugar Ray.

Did I just make anyone feel REALLY old? :rotfl:

I can't believe how close the trip is. The days are going by scary fast.

Damn wipper-snapper.

I won't say when I was born, but it was no way the 60's. DD once asked me if I enjoyed the groovy times. She thought I was that old. She also can't believe that I owned the first Green Day album. She seems to think they are a newer hipper younger group. No way could "mom" have listened to them back in the day.

Ok ladies. Have fun! I am on my way to DLR to meet up with Cheryl and Michelle, and maybe Dawn. Bye. :wave2:

Morning all. Man I just can't go away for a day cuz I can't keep up LOL.

Ok to catch up let's see. I was born in 67 so that makes me 41 (will be 42 in June). So I am right there in the mix with the rest. And yes Wendy you make me feel old. I graduated from high school in 85. EEK!

But anyway I had my first daughter at 32 and second at 34 so like the rest I had my kids a bit older as well.

And as for my first concert I think it was the Beach Boy as well with my parents but then I caught up real quick. I had a boyfriend in college that worked for the local rock station here in town and we got LOTS of comp tickets. I saw in one year alone, Heart, Billy Idol, Duran Duran, Iron Maiden, Sting, Elton John, Def Leppard, Tesla, gosh I can't even remember them all. I've been to a LOT of concerts over the years and none of those I had to even pay for. I got REALLY spoiled and then when I actually had to start PAYING for concerts I didn't like it cuz then I had to start sitting in the cheapo seats and I didn't like the prices. But I have been to country concerts and rock concerts and kids concerts you name it.

We also like to go to musical theater and have been season ticket holders and we like ballet and broadway plays and all types of theater and music so I am up for it all. I STILL want to see Phantom in Vegas! I've seen it in SF and would LOVE to see it in Paris!

But anyway I too would love to thank everyone for their hard work. I normally would have volunteered to help more but this year I've had a lot on my plate. I did tell Shane though that he better prepare that this is probably going to be an ongoing thing. I know you guys went last year and you have the vegas trip planned and that I am sure this won't be the last trip and if there is another trip in the future I am in so he better prepare for it! So I will most likely be more help in the future. This was just a bad time for me but I promise to be more help next time!!

Anyway yesterday we did our big sam's club run and the girls had a birthday party to go to. Katy was sick on Thursday and had to come home from school with a fever and then was off school on Friday but she was better yesterday so we let her go to the party but then Shelby started feeling bad last night. Then after sam's we just got some take out chinese and watched some on demand movies and had kind of a family night so it was nice.

Now today we are going to mom's for superbowl so that should be fun.

Next week is going to be the crazy week.

Tomorrow I have to go to the hospital to do all my paperwork for my surgery. Lynn has a minimum day for open house so my dad will have to pick her up from school. Then Tuesday I will meet with my psychiatrist so I can finally get some medication and Lynn doesn't go to school till noon both on Tues and Wed because the sophomores are taking their high school exit exams so again we will have to have my dad take her to school. And then bright and early on Thursday I FINALLY have my surgery at 5 a.m.

So busy busy week. But I am glad it is finally happening. And I got my ID cards for my new doc so I am anxious to meet with her in March and go over everything with her. So lots on the horizon but hopefully all good and positive things!!

Anyway hope everyone has a good day today and hopefully you all have fun plans.

Anyone else going to any superbowl parties?

Good morning ladies.:wave2:

We're having a Super Bowl party at my house, so I won't have time to chat much today. I need to vacuum a bit more, and then get the "Junk Food and Beer" buffet put together. Nothing like holding a calorie fest for friends and family. Should be FUN! :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1:

HAPPY SUPER BOWL EVERYONE!

cheshiregirl, I should mention that this was my half brother. The first one was born when I was 13, second when I was 15. And then they had a third when I was 25!!! Stepmom thought she was in early menopause (had just turned 40) but her friends knew better. Menopause doesn't generally go together with randomly and suddenly, for no reason, stopping smoking and craving citrus fruit like crazy. :)

And that's the half-sis that's now a freshman year cheerleader who might cause me to have a late March Disney trip, b/c they'll be down there for a cheerleading thing! :cheer2: :crazy2:

Ok so neither I nor my roommate have an entertainment card...any one with an extra who will be there early on thursday?

Hope everyone is having fun watching the super bowl.

I am working ot today trying to save some extra moolah as we find out tomorrow if DH's car will have to be replaced or not. If so all the money we had saved for our front walk way and landscaping will be going to pay off our current car so we can then take out a new loan on a new car. Either way, we need some extra $$$ for our projects. I should be getting 2-3 ot shifts next week as well which will help and my grade increase should go into effect within the next month which will also be of some assistance. Agk finances.

Sarah

I have 5 or 6 Entertainment Cards (I buy the books for about 7 bucks and they have about $50 worth of savings that I use for sure in each book/card) So, I am happy to let anyone borrow a card for check in. But, I won't be there until 4 or so on Thursday.

I wonder if they will let us store our luggage and go to DL and then check in maybe right before the pizza party. Are you planning on doing the pizza party? We could meet up right before, I could borrow the ET card and get checked in and then meet back down at the party where I could return the ET card to you?

Sarah

Hi Ladies!
I haven't been on since Friday.

Is there anything I should know?

I will try and catch up, but when I'm skimming through, I tend to miss things, as Beth knows! :rolleyes1

I'm also trying to get the hunt list finalized.:hyper:

I htought you were borrowing mine! :confused3

It really doesn't matter as long as you save money!

DH and I are taking a break. Things are in order, and I think the actual move will go smoothly tomorrow. :upsidedow
