Oh and as far as Saturday night one of my friends "may" be coming up to spend the day with mom and I so if so she may be joining us on some of the stuff which means I probably should e-mail her soon so that she can participate in the other stuff that is going on that day as well but IF she comes then I was going to see if she wanted to have dinner just the three of us but if she DOESN'T come then mom and I will probably join up with everyone else wherever. So whoever isn't already involved in tours or stuff then we will just go with the flow. So I probably should e-mail my friend and see if she is still interested eh? LOL

You have my head spinning!!! :rotfl2: What's important is that you understand. :thumbsup2

It sounds like you are having a really nice weekend and I'm so happy for you. You deserve a break. The girls cooking for you is so sweet, and I'm sure they were proud of themselves. I'm glad you got a date. I haven't been on a date in over a year. I would love it! I hope your day tomorrow is just as nice. :goodvibes

Did your mom see I Am Marshall? I felt that I should see it, since that whole tragedy was still talked about when I was there, but ultimately I just don't like that sort of movie enough to actually watch it.

Actually my Mother was a student there the year it happened, and my father was in the 'jock' frat. He was actually in a bar with a football player that was hurt and didn't go when the news came across that the flight was down. He was there when they tried to find any survivors. Also, the graveyard that the Marshall memoral is in is built on my families old 'farm'. The memorial is in what was the veggie garden, and you can see all of my family's gravestones in the movie! (freaky to me.) They were all buried on what was the front lawn of the main house. I guess that's their claim to fame. ;) It was heartbreaking, and such major event in my parents' life. They still talk about it, and the making of the movie was very validating for them.

It's been a long day of errand running and a trip to the playground since Ty needed a bit of exercise after a couple of days spent at home earlier this week. Sadly I got neither the nap or massage I hoped for today, but there's always tomorrow for going to get a massage! However, Dave did handle cooking dinner and Ty's bath time/getting him ready for bed, so I can't complain too much.

Just wanted to publicly chime in with the fact that I love the lanyards too (I had PMed Callie already)! It's hard to believe that in 5 short weeks we will be getting ready to watch F! and that the trip will be more than half over... As always, I am so ready to be there :goodvibes !

Oh, and as for dinner on Saturday, I haven't decided what I am doing yet, but it will be CS of some sort. I've never had French Market, but looking at the menu, it only looks okay to me, not fantastic. But depending on my mood I might decide to try it or I might pick up something at Riverbelle Terrace (the turkey salad sounds delish) and bring it over to FM to join the group.

Anyhow, it's going to be early bedtimes all around here. Ty started to fall asleep in his highchair during dinner, so I expect him to go down any minute, and I will probably turn in soon after. 4 am is truly an inhumane time to get up!!! I remember the days when I used to go to bed at that time :rotfl2:! Oh how quickly life changes :lmao: Night ladies!

Well, I ordered shirts for Brianne & I. That was an ordeal. It took me like ten minutes to figure out how to move Tink up so the writing could fit below. And then it was a PITA to order the exact same thing in a different size. I had to start over. Anyway, January the free shipping is no longer offered. It was $5-something for the two shirts. And I ordered the 2X as well cause they stated they run so small you should order two sizes up!

Goodness gracious!

I hadn't realized how long ago it was until after I posted (and posted the wrong movie name, whoops, it's of course We Are Marshall). If I'd realized it I might have figured that your mom was in that age range, but since it was still so "there" for people I didn't think it had been that long. Which is ridiculous of me, b/c of all people I'm a person who supports grieving for as long as needed.

That's really huge that your mom and dad were both there and it's so connected to your family. Hugs to your mom and dad. (and now I'm assuming that they are both still around...if they are not I am sorry...I'm putting feet in mouth all over the place the last few days accidentally)

I hope you enjoy living near family! I myself would go bananas if I did that. If my mom were still around I'd like her to be nearby, but that's where it ends. Everyone else is good to visit but I don't think seeing them all the time would be good for any of the adults (I'm sure the kids would all appreciate it though!).:p

Hi MaryJo!
There was a list some pages back. Mostly girl party songs - go figure! Several people PM'd Beth their choice. This thread moves so fast, it's impossible to keep up:)

I love our lanyard (again!) - a big THANKS to Callie and her DH.:flower3:

I have to order my shirt, too. I am so afraid of it being too small around my "chesticles", too. :sad2: January, I think you will be swimming in a 2X, Good Lord, you look much smaller than I and I wear a 1X!

Okay, I have to PM Stacie, Callie and check out Zazzle.

To all the nurses out there, my sister is an RN in the geriatric field and I could never do what she does. It takes a special person, that's for sure. I have enormous respect and admiration for all of you!

Linda--love the new pic in your signature! Is it from your WDW trip?

Going to DL tomorrow for the day!!!

Amysue

Have a great time! It's stopped raining here now--so hopefully tomorrow will be cool and dry for you!

Thanks for the compliment, Cheryl.:)

Actually it is from my birthday (Nov 2008) at Napa Rose. I am chopping at the bit for my WDW pix. DD took all of them with her new camera Santa brought her. The new CoolPix that was impossible to find and acutally didn't come in until after Christmas (but Best Buy lied to me and said it would be in - but that's another story). She did not bring the cord to download them to my computer with her so I have to wait until her next trip home to have them. Probably only a week or so, but STILL!!!:sad2:

AmySue - have a fabulous time tomorrow and stay dry!

Evening all. Today was actually fairly relaxing.
Sounds like things have been nice and calm. That's good, even if the food isn't diet friendly, lol.

Hi everyone.

What a neat idea. Is there a list already of the songs?
Hi Mary Jo! There is one, I'll post it in a sec. Please add one. Oh, and did you see on the schedule that a few of us are getting together on Sunday during the trip to have a Dole Whip for Bawb? I thought you might be interested in that.

So, I am too lazy to hunt down the info about the T-shirts. I know it is the Tinkerbell design, but what day are we wearing them?

All right, many of you have reported quite gleefully that you have bought a tote. Is EVERYONE buying them? Are you guys decorating the purchased ones? I started working on mine last night, and since it was late, the applique didn't turn out 100% perfect, likely not even 75% perfect. Should I just buy one and give up on the one I am sewing. I don't want mine to be the loser one that no one wants. I think the idea is cute, but maybe it is over the top. So whaddya think?

Going to DL tomorrow for the day!!!

Amysue
I believe we decided on Saturday to wear the tees. That's the day of the big breakfast and the hunt.
As for the tote, I think most of us are buying it simply because we lack the skills to make one! At least I do. LOL I say if you can make it then go for it. I know it I picked it I'd be thrilled.

I will probably turn in soon after. 4 am is truly an inhumane time to get up!!! I remember the days when I used to go to bed at that time :rotfl2:! Oh how quickly life changes :lmao: Night ladies!
Tell me about it!! :lmao:

:rotfl2: Unless you don't have a life like me. ;)

I'm posting this and then heading out the door for a couple hours. Hopefully, the feedback will be positive.

Here's what my dh has come up with:

GirlsOnlyTrip.gif

I put one in the sleeve on my pink lanyard from last year and it looks really nice. We still have to find the link from the place we ordered the lanyards from last time, so we can all match.

Love it!!

I was thinking of ice cream (Gibson Girl or the one in DCA) for dinner that night. :thumbsup2

I always like to break the rules like that when I'm in DLR. ;)

Yum!! Sounds good to me!!! Or the French Market... I hate having to make food choices when they are all so good!!!

Not to disappoint anyone, but I think it's 6 weeks. At least, it better be 6 weeks, 5 weeks isn't enough time to lose the weight I want to. I'll be lucky to lose it in 6, but 5... No WAY!! I've been READY to be there, even though I was there last weekend... seems like so long ago!

Thought I would introduce you all to the new and improved me. Yep, I finally decided to ditch my old name and get a new one. You see, when I signed up 2 years ago, I didn' t know that I would be known as my user name, so just used my normal old boring log in name that I use all the time. And then Callie showed how the lanyards were going to look and I just didn't want that disboard name on there. So, Wha La. 5 minutes later and I was reinvented.

Anyhoo....thought long and hard about me and Disney and the one thing that holds true after every trip I take, is the need to do it over again. I guess if I ever plan the perfect trip and don't need to plan the do over, then I will have to change my name.

So, I guess since Beth doesn't have a life, she can go and change my name on all those lists!:rotfl2:

Where is everyone eating dinner on Saturday evening (March 7th)?

Does anyone want to have dinner (and drinks) at the Jazz Kitchen (around 5:00pm or so) before Fantasmic (or whatever you have planned for the evening)? I love the gumbo there, and I can't imagine gong to DLR and not having it at least once.

The food there is great! Anyone interested?:listen: :flower3:

Bummer - I would have loved to go to the Jazz Kitchen. I've never been - but I'm going on the WIWF Tour, so we get a sandwich for dinner (darn - I want bread pudding!!!)

I say either ditch the sandwich or eat the sandwich and go join the other ladies for dessert!

Just an FYI on the Photopass, I'm going to cut it off at 20 people, it will get really out of hand with too many people. We're at 19 right now, so I can take one more... Any takers? If you're not sure how it works, please read the Photopass Information post. It's not really that difficult, like Molly said though DO NOT make your own photopass account or you won't be able to add yours to the group account.

:rotfl2: OMG, as bored as I get at least all I change is my sig!!! :lmao:
OK, I'll update it tomorrow.

Well, don't eat the cookies, and go for bread pudding instead. ;)

Night ladies!
