Trying to catch up real quick here.

I have afew thoughts on the candy thing. What if whoever is buying it, has a bunch leftover, and is stuck with paying? I'd hate for that to happen to anyone. :sad2:
Hi Melody! I'm sorry, it must be lack of sleep, but you kind of lost me on this. LOL What did you mean someone is stuck paying?
Each person brings in whatever bag of candy they want, (suckers, licorice, chocolates, sours, gummis, whatever) and then we'll set it up and arrange it all on one table in different containers. Then everyone gets to grab a bag, and fill it up.
If there are leftovers we can divide those up, or give some to Lorealle and her staff or whatever. But each person's out of pocket expense will be no more then the cost of whatever candy they pick out to bring.

Did that answer you question? Sorry if I'm confused!!

Oh yes i'm already looking for disney themed candy! The twinikins and I are googling.. they want to trade in their animal crackers for the candy:rotfl:
:rotfl2: How cute!!

I REALLY don't like being sick. Everything takes forever to do and I'm super tired.

I saw the candy buffet over on the budget thread and thought it was a fun idea. I'm glad we are able to do it. :goodvibes I'll bring the Red Vines, 'cause if there's some left over I wont mind. ;)
I'm sorry you are so sick. It does suck. :grouphug: Just look at it this way. This is your time and so you shouldn't get sick again for awhile. Therefore you should be fit as a fiddle on the trip! :thumbsup2

And I know you won't mind if there's left over Red Vines!! :rotfl2:

I like the candy buffett idea.
I thought about doing that for my son's 13th birthday. But I am thinking
he will have his braces by then. So that might not be a good idea, kwim.

January where are you at in Idaho?

LOL!!:rotfl: I guess you can call me the confused one!!! That is what I get for skimming through this thread as fast as I can. :lmao:

But I'm still willing to bake some cakes, and to shop if anyone is interested to save money!!

Me want candy.

Oh, and my DD had a candy bar for her wedding. It was beautiful. She picked out all white variations of candy, and put them in different glass containers. Everyone loved it!

Would you believe that just before all of this converstion about candy bars came up, I was trying to make room in my pantry for stuff, and I came upon leftover candy. It lasted quite awhile, but I just threw out the rest of it hours ago. How weird is that. But I saved the candy bags that we used. :thumbsup2

Gee, if I could bring up the picture of her bar I will do it.

Weird!

LOL OK, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. :rotfl: Anyway, I hope I explained it well enough. :flower3: I'm not good at getting my ideas across sometimes. :sad2:

As for baking a cake, well shoot, who am I to stop you if you truly have your heart set on it. :rolleyes1

In all seriousness, why don't you wait and see how you feel, and what's going on as it gets closer. You might find you are swamped with things around the house or what not and I don't want you to feel like you have to, kwim? (I know how busy you get!!!)
If you do, we will all be pleasantly surprised and certainly grateful. If you don't, we understand and will still have lots of candy to get a sugar rush from. :)

Hi Everyone!
Man you guys chat A LOT!!!
I went to WDW for 6 days and came back to a 100 page thread! DD & I had a marvelous time. Everything went perfect (except the delayed flight home), but all meals, parks, hotel and CM's were wonderful.:goodvibes

I know I am late, but I like veggie pizza and DD likes Pepperoni. But we're not that picky and will eat anything but plain cheese - hey, I like toppings, what can I say? We both also love the flavored vodka's - raspberry and vanilla are the best. I drink wine a lot at home, but I think a real drink is appropriate for a party.:joker: So, count us both in as having a couple of drinks - however much we owe, just let me know.

And Beth, all that candy is making me dizzy! Holy Crap. Whatever you guys decide on just let me know.

To the pizza party committee....remember I am local, so if you need anything let me know - I can bring anything that might be bulky for those traveling in.
Welcome home!!! :grouphug:

Oh, I bet it was lovely! I've seen some very fancy ones, much like you described. It seems like such a neat idea. I can't believe I'd never heard of it before.
If you find a pic, I'd love to see it! :goodvibes

NOT PIZZA!

I'm making "Loaded Baked Potato Soup" from DL's Carnation Cafe.

Yum!!!

Melody, it sounds like between the two of us, your car is gonna be packed! :rotfl2:

Mmmm, pizza. Luckily I can't taste anything right now or I would be craving pizza again.

Mmmm, loaded baked potato soup. I had some cheddar potato soup last night with my pizza, that was yummy, but not as good as Carnation's!

Seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.. Melody is a super great chef!

Wow, I bet that was beautiful with all the white candy. Did you have a hard time finding variations on the white? I bet it was a big hit!

Wendylouwho.. whatcha bringin? that's gonna fill up the car? I had an image of the car filled with red vines!

One can only dream.... :rotfl: Add some Red Bull and it'll be a party! :hyper:

I'm not sure exactly what I'll be bringing, but right now I have a list of stuff I wanna bring. I'm so excited I can't stand it. :cheer2:

Did you guys know you can get candy from Oriental Trading?
They have things like 240 candy powder filled straw for $5.49, 120 Dum Dums for $7.99, 50 Wonka Bottle Caps for $4.99, etc.

I never would've thought of them for candy. :confused3

I'll probably just go to Sam's Club or Costco and see what they have. Although it would be fun to have some nostalgic types of candy.
