Girls Only Disneyland Trip - Old Thread

Happy Sunday everyone!!! :)

I was able to get some sleep last night so that helped a lot. I took a shower this morning and was able to eat some pudding and applesauce. Not the same as a taquito but it's all I can manage right now.

The bleeding appears to have stopped, but my jaw is sore and swollen. I'm still taking the Vicodin and antibiotics. I have to rinse 4-5 times daily with warm salt water. ICK!!!! :crazy2:

I'm still supposed to be taking it easy, but you know I can't sit still for long. I did some laundry, and a little light cleaning in the kitchen. Ruben was off yesterday, today and tomorrow so he's helping. And my inlaws are coming over again to spend time with the kids.
Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good weekend!!

I am glad to hear the bleeding stopped. That can be nauseating. I am also glad to hear you could eat.

That is awesome that Ruben was able to help out and the in-laws will be there. Do your kids have school tomorrow?

I hope you have a great (rest of) weekend.:grouphug:

January, I hope you can find some decent airfare! I'll keep my eyes out too. There has to be something better then $260.

No, there is no school tomorrow. Thank goodness. I don't really feel up to the morning rush and the evening homework chaos.

I see airfare from boise to lax for 226 including all taxes on alaska for the 5th back the 9th. What days were you planning on doing?

That is not too bad. My days are still up in the air. I have only one day of personal time to take off...but I have like 15 days of sick time left. What I am thinking of doing is making a dentist appt for early Thurs. to get a cleaning and take the whole day off and fly the same day in the late morning, early afternoon (or I might just be naughty and call in sick::yes::) and take Fri as my personal day and fly home on Sun. I am still playing with dates and 226 is the cheapest I have heard. Thank you for looking. What airline is that?

Warm salt water is soooo nasty, but it is such GOOD medicine.

Boise, eh? I don't have time to check for you right now, but look at kayak.com. It looks at all fares except for Southwest, so is nice and convenient.

I lied. :)

I'm seeing 99 each way (before tax/fee) on Alaska. I put the 5th through 9th, in, going into LAX, and clicked on the Low Fare Calendar, so I see 99 to LAX on thurs and fri, and 99 coming home Mon. The higher fares to LAX are on the sat and sun and coming home on sun too. Total is 219 and change.

BUT those are just the lowest fares on those days...i don't know what flights they are.

:rotfl2: Now he's hot! :smokin:

Well, maybe I will. I'm getting pretty sick of watching DVDs.
:happytv: If I start one, I'll post a link in my sig for sure. But if I do, everyone has to pitch in and add to it. :)

So, what's everyone up to today? Those of us not lucky enough to be at Disneyland that is. :p

I would love to add to a pre-trip report. They are fun!
I am playing hooky from church today. DD was not feeling well...she had a miraculous recovery just moments ago.;) I do have a paper to write on Social Studies curriculum but I am going to wait until tonight...I am enjoying just sitting on the computer with nothing else better to do.

That is great! I don't have to work tomorrow. This house needs to get a good cleaning, so that I what I will be doing.

Yep, good ol Boise. Tons of fun going on here.:rotfl:Thank you for the info on kayak.com...I will check it out.:thumbsup2

It is hard for me to pay more than 200 for a flight that is not REALLY that far. I have seen flights cheaper...a part of me wants to wait b/c normally I will book and see the same flight cheaper a few days later. Airfare is a pain.:headache:

I'm also seeing 99 (without tax/fee) on just about every flight on Southwest except if you wanted to go home on Sunday, then that switches to 150.

Do whatever it takes to stay as long as you can!! :cool1:

It is!! I hate it! Make me gag. :crazy2:

I'm glad your off. You need a break. Have fun cleaning. Blast some music, that's what I do.
Oh, and try this site as well. They search all different sites and airlines: http://www.mobissimo.com/search_airfare.php

The thing is is that right now there are sales happening. Virgin America (would only work if you came to Seattle and that's not a good drive at this time of year obviously), Alaska, etc...they are all having sales, so those are, right now, good prices.

Alaska will give you credit (and they round up to the nearest 25 nowadays!) if the fare drops, as will jet blue and Southwest, without charging you anything. Alaska does have a time frame, but I think you're within it now, should it drop.

Come to Seattle, fly Virgin America....LOL. I'm flying Alaska down (b/c of that $25 credit I got when my flight dropped by $5 for last December's trip) on Friday but flying Virgin back for 69 plus tax/fee. Flying back Sunday night.

Sunday is the day that is killing me.

I may have to leave Fri and come back Monday.:scratchin I still have awhile to decide.

I work as a teaching assistant and there are certain days that are not good days to be gone and Mondays and Fridays are it...at least in the classroom I work in. The students tend be very elevated and in some cases, manic.

Airfare is a pain.:headache:
It is! I can usually find cheap flights in and out of Vegas, but when we lived in Traverse City it was a nightmare. First of all, you have to change planes no matter where you are going. Nothing direct out of TC. And the prices were so high!!
Remember for the ladies only trip to WDW I paid around $440 for my flight!!! :sad2:

Although I'm not signed up for Boise on my Ding page for SW, I'm seeing that there's a fare of 84 from Burbank to Spokane, if that's doable at all. BUT that's Ding, and unless you wanted to throw your CC info at me, unless you're signed up for Ding you can't get that fare today.

But sign up for it, just in case, if you want to fly SW. Because compared to what Alaska is charging for Burbank to Boise, that's good. Except for the whole "have to drive to/from Spokane" issue of course.

I am stoked...the last few weeks have been looooooong.

Thanks for the music link.:thumbsup2

See! You gotta stay until Monday then. ;)

LOL...I am going to see if I can find the awesome substitute we usually use in our class. If she is available I will try to stay until Monday. so much to do...so little time (and moolah).

WEll...the drive from Boise to Seattle is toooooo long. It will take about 10 hours.:guilty: Salt Lake is the closest big city and DH is not willing to do that. I may just have to pay a bit extra. I am still holding out for cheaper airfare.::yes::

Molly, I really appreciate you looking for me. You are awesome! I think you have been looking harder than I have so far. You should do this for a living.:thumbsup2

I do remember. That seems like yesterday!
Although Boise has quite a few flights coming in and out the LA area..it is still hard to find an affordable flight. When we fly to Orlando, we would use Delta or Frontier and it was usually between 150-200 per person.
Oh, well. I will just have to pay. That is what happens when flying out of a small airport.

I had Ding on my computer...when I got a virus I had everything wiped out when it was fixed. I have to download it again..which I will do right now.:thumbsup2
