You guys won't have done enough drinking at WTC and Club 33?!?!?!!?!?!
I'm no expert, but is there really such a thing as "enough drinking"? :confused3

Sounds wonderful... can we go right now?
LOL I wish!!!! At this point I might even get a drink or two. :rotfl2:

I am not that far from Vegas, I can help with a kidnapping!!!!!!! Besides you can't argue with a preggo lady :lmao:
See now that's just not playing fair. :p

What if we did the Cove Bar more than just one night? :) I'll be leaving before Sunday night.
Well, I can't see when else we'd do it, that's the problem. Thursday night is the Pizza Party, and DCA closes early then.
Friday is the DVC tour. Saturday we are hoping to catch the 9:30 of Fantasmic and some of us are saving spots for the ourselves and the others.
So by process of elimination that leaves Sunday. I guess that just means you'll have to stay until Monday morning!! ;)

I thought that was because we had Ryan.
:lmao: :lmao:

:lmao:
OMG, you and Stacie said the same thing. :rotfl:

Just goes to prove how bad he truly was. :clown: :crazy2: :faint:

(havin all sorts of fun with the new smileys)

Oh, and I'm up for the Cove Bar whenever. Sunday evening sounds great to me. Is anyone wanting to catch fireworks that night?

Oh crud, that was the only night for fireworks huh?

Hmmmm, ok, I called Disney earlier and they said the Cove Bar is open that Sunday until 8 p.m.
The fireworks on are the schedule for 9:25. We'd still make it right? I mean, we don't have to stay at the bar until 8. That's just when it closes.

Yes please! I can't imagine a DL trip without seeing the fireworks... now, we just need to make a deal with the weather gods to ensure that it's not windy that night!
Please oh mighty weather gods.........NO FREAKIN RAIN OR WIND, 'kay? :thumbsup2

I'm looking at the menu at Cove Bar. The Artichoke Dip and BBQ Chicken Pizza sounds good! We could each order an appetizer to share as a group, and then each get our own drink.
I wonder what would be good for me to try........the Wipe Out sounds good. I know I like orange juice anyway. :rotfl: But what the heck is grenadine??

That's because they are both so traumatized by the whole Ryan experience!

Grenadine is a red syrup used to color drinks. I don't think there's alcohol in it. It's what makes a Shirley Temple pink. Or the "sunrise" in a Tequila Sunrise. I'm sure there are lots of non-alcoholic drinks that Cove Bar could make.

And I'm up for Cove Bar on Saturday night if someone wants to go then. I'm not that big a Fantasmic fan (I know--shhhhhhh.)

What??? Not a Fantasmic fan?????? I'm sorry but I refuse to listen to that.

Ok I am going to show my mixology knowledge putting on my professor cap :joker:

REAL grenadine is actually a pomagrante syrup, that is red, and makes some drinks red or pink. These days sadly most places use red sweetened "stuff" instead of the real thing. But for drink snobs and those who hate synthetic you can find real grenadine and use it to make yummy drinks for all ages!!!

I make my Shirley Temple's with vodka and lime and call them Shirley Temple Black's (how old you are is how likely you will get this joke :) )

"PINK DRINKS ARE EVIL!!"

We stopped and got drinks a few years ago at the cove Bar and we had a few guys with us two girls. I decided to try this drink cause it looked good, but the guys were all horrified it was PINK. They finally decided to taste mine and got some themselves.

Two drinks later, every one was feeling a bit tipsy from the evil pink drinks and a heavy handed bartender.

Final lesson, Scream'n probably should not be the next stop after the Cove Bar :lmao:

Hmm...Well, I am thinking. After the scavenger hunt, I am footloose and fancy free and that Cove Bar sounds darn good. I'm thinking hit that place and then head over to Fantasmic and jump on Beth's blanky at the last minute. Of course I would have to buy her one of those pink drinks and poor it into a water bottle and smuggle it into DL, but I think I could manage:thumbsup2

I know where you and I will be then, Sat night. Beth close your eyes....Robert and I are close to Fantasmic-dislikers. And we were SO glad DS had completely passed out in his stroller after eating that night, and slept through the whole thing, because it would have scared the crud out of him.

OK Beth you can open your eyes again. Beth? Beth!!! OPEN YOUR EYES! Drat she can't read that, b/c her eyes are closed. Someone call her to have her open her eyes, OK?

:upsidedow

Were they the lovely, but STRANGELY named Pina Colavas? I assume the "lava" part refers to the pink from the raspberry. And there should be a tilde over that n but whatev'.

I don't drink much at DLR b/c the drinks are so $$$$. I can buy a 6 pack of Blue Moon for what DCA charges for ONE bottle, for instance. Then again, that drinkie I had at PCH Grill (that I have a VIDEO of in my last trip report) was most excellent, and had a glowy souvenir "ice" cube in it. Well worth the, cough, ten dollars, cough cough.

I don't drink alcohol but if i am still around on sunday night I am down for some BBQ chicken pizza and a shirley temple.:thumbsup2

Ooh, I'd be up for the Cove Bar on Sunday night - never been and would like to go. I like pink drinks ::yes::

I can't go on Saturday though because I've made prior arrangements for people watching and butt parking :thumbsup2

Just a quick :drive: by to say :wave2:

I had a drs appt this morning. I slipped on the ice and twisted my knee 2 wks ago. Well they did an xray, there is, well he thinks there is fluid on my knee and that I may have torn my ACL or PCL or MCL or all of the above. Yay me!
So I have an MRI on Monday to make sure. But luckily the ole knee is still in place. Just hurtin like a well ya know...

Have a great day girls!!

Hi Roomie!:wave2: Hope your knee if doing better. I am so glad I live somewhere where I don't have to deal w/ snow and ice! I would be slipping and sliding everywhere. :rotfl:
Debra, I forgot to ask if you were leaving on Sunday or Monday? Or do you know yet?

I am so excited about this trip! :cheer2: I just love reading this thread and you all make me smile all day. :) This is going to be FUN!! :cool1:

If I'm not still drunk and hanging out on the balcony of the club, then I would love to do the cove bar....I think. I'm a little worried that I have so much planned, that I won't see much of 'Disneyland' at Disneyland. KWIM??:rolleyes2 (I love that new smiley!)

I do however need to keep my energy up to play. :joker:

I'm thinking Wendy might need to bring a few extra Red Bulls for me.

Oh, and if I get too many drinks, I might slip back into old habits....:smokin:

I must be good...I must be good...I must be good...

Debra-I'm sorry about your knee! Is the doctor talking about surgery at all? I'm a nurse on a Ortho unit, and have taken care of many ACL and MCL repairs. I hope things are able to heal on their own. pixiedust:

You mean a Glowtini?? They are yummy - and the glowing cube is fun. So I like pink drinks and blue drinks ;)
