Tracey--thanks for the heads' up on the farewatch site--I'm trying to find a flight to Orlando and have fooled around and not booked it and really don't like any of the options. So trying to decide whether to wait for last-minute or go ahead and book. You more experienced travelers--what would you do? and would you go to LAX from Orange County to fly direct or fly out of Orange Co. and have to do a stop (assuming prices are similar).

I haven't booked it yet, but I think I'm going to. If I do, I'll be sure to reserve seat 11B, and then we can party it up!

Well, I'm back from the dentist. They didn't do the crown. Why? Well, turns out because of the crack in the tooth it allowed it to get infected and now it needs to be pulled along with the other two. So now I've got to have THREE extractions.
Two this Saturday and who knows when I'll be able to do the other one. So I'll have a bunch of teeth missing on the bottom, which means I'm definitely going to need a partial. Who knows when I'm going to have the time and money to start getting fitted for that. Sometime after all the extractions heal I suppose.

The hassles, pain and bills just keep adding up. I just hope I'm still able to go on the trip. I guess I'll have to wait and see at this point.

Anyway, it is what it is. I can't do anything about it. I'm pretty much in a funk right now though.
Oh well, don't want to be a downer so I'm gonna go take a nap! Have a good afternoon everyone!

Helpful hint! I found that when you're traveling with just one other person, unless you really want to be shoulder to shoulder, it's quite nice to book two aisle seats. That way there's a little space and it's easier to see your companion. That's what my friend and I did for the San Diego trip I took in November, and we quite liked it.

I'm right there with you Molly. The other aisle seat was the first place I looked to see if it was available, but it wasn't. So I guess Tracey and I will just have to get cozy with one another.

Venting a little bit...way back when I had a wedding journal. Then a newlywed journal. Then a parenting journal, all on a wedding-based message board. AT some point, they changed formats, changed rules, and got persnickety, so I moved over to a different board, created in the backlash. I had a couple journals there. And then I left there b/c of problems with people.

Last night I decided I needed to find those journals, which has taken great intestinal fortitude, as the people who I had the problems with were "met" through those journals, so looking through the posts in the journals hurts my feelings.

I've found all that I can remember. Except for the most important...the Parenting journal that chronicles me and E (and a bit of R too) from when DS was just over 1 to almost 3.

Now I have all the pictures, and I guess what we remember is the most important, but it's all those little tidbits that are nice to remember. And I can't find it. They had a format change in there, and I think that ONE journal was lost.

And you know, I can live without knowing the tiny tidbits...there was a lot of personal pain journaled about in those pages for a couple reasons...but it's REALLY messing up my photo albums, b/c there are a few film rolls that I developed and I NEED to know where they go AND when they were taken! I never did a time stamp in my film camera, and I tended to hold on to film for years before developing, and so I'm facing a mystery.

I think I'm going to have to call the hotel to find out when we stayed there, and hope I did it under my name, so I don't have to have Robert call them too.


OK vent over.


OH and I found out that inside of a month the wedding-based forum is changing format entirely, and EVERYTHING is going to be lost. So I have to get to saving those journals!!!!!!!

I thought of you this morning--on the morning news they had a feature on a combo dentist's/spa office. You could get a mani-pedi while they worked on your teeth. And the dentist was a tall, dark drink of water with a British accent. Can we say "dreamy"? Sigh. He could give me a root canal anytime!

Beth, I know it is overwhelming now, because I've totally been in these types of situations, but once the shock of the whole situation wears off, you'll be able to figure out a plan.
