OK, Wine Country Trattoria is booked!! I called this morning at 7:30 and made a reservation for 14 people. (I made it for one extra just in case we get a last minute add on.)

I wanted 11:30 and she DID have that available but it was only for outdoor seating. The weather in the first part of March is iffy and can be cold. I asked if there were outdoor heaters and she said no.
Since I didn't want to chance y'all sitting outside and freezing, I took the first indoor seating time available which was 12:00.

I hope I made the right choice for everyone. :confused3

This is the WCT list for now:
1. kelmac284/Kelly
2. Rosemarie (Kelly's mom)
3. 21yankees/Steph
4. toocherie/Cheryl
5. Brianne (Linda's DD)
6. lulubelle/Linda
7. grizbuzz/Jen
8. tinkermell/Melody
9. Zoemakes5/Michelle
10. Stacerita/Stacie
11. fairykin/Dawn
12. Sally (Dawn's mom)
13. bumbershoot/Molly
14.

If anyone else wants on, please let me know.

And with that, our group meals are all booked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay:  :cool1: :woohoo:

Now at 30 days out those overseeing the tours can book them and we'll be all set! :thumbsup2

kelmac284 I do not know how you do it. I would have had to go somewhere for "exhaustion" long ago if I had your schedule!

Tell the GS higher-ups that we'll start buying again if they start the pre-purchasing again (I don't like buying from the groups outside the stores...I don't do *anything* with groups/people outside stores) AND if they get the junk out of those cookies! Can't buy 'em now, as they have things related to corn syrup in the ones I checked last year. :( :( :(

********

Have now just spent 5 minutes looking up chinchillas, ferrets, and gerbils in CA. The last two are still illegal. The first is not. I wanted a gerbil very badly when I was a kid, but CA law wouldn't permit it, sigh.

********

Can someone please explain why I felt SO good yesterday, on top of the world, like I was losing weight and standing taller....then after dinner last night I felt just awful, and this morning I feel as though someone put an extra layer of fat down the the front of me. Why? How? Sigh. And the only thing unusual about dinner was that we had eggplant from a local chinese place...the other parts of the meal were totally normal. Oh wait there was that one eggroll (I only had one) that wasn't very good. But Robert doesn't feel bad and he had the same things I had. Hmm.

Oh Molly tell me about it. I hate hate hate that part of GS. It seems like my kids are constantly bringing home crap from school too and I send it RIGHT back. I tell them that we are ALREADY gs and I am NOT about to try to sell anything else. Plus we are on the swim team and soccer team and then THEY want us to do stuff too! UGH! It is ALWAYS something I swear.

But we DO do the pre-sales of the cookies. That is what is starting tomorrow.

The girls get their little order forms and that is when we are expected to hit up the friends and relatives. I usually take one kids to work and shane takes the other to his and he is better than I. I work in an office with a bunch of women who are ALWAYS on a diet and no one ever buys any. I feel bad for whichever kid's form I take. My mom is always good for a few boxes and the secretary at the front but you think since my mom owns the company that I could get a few sympathy boxes but NO!

I have to give Katy credit though. She took her form to school and was able to get several of the teachers to buy a few boxes and I was REALLY hesitant to get kids to buy any and told her that if she did she HAD to get the money up front even though it is not required but there was no WAY I was going to eat it! So she did and she sold quite a few. But the site sales are the WORST cuz I know I HATE going to the store and being hounded by OTHER people's kids so then I HATE being "that" person and so when we have to do it I just sit back and let the kids do it. I just deal with the money. Surprisingly though there are a lot of people in this world that like those things. So the few sales I did we sold quite a few but still I HATE HATE HATE doing them. BLECK! But it makes it even worse because the GS provoke the girls by tempting them with prizes and of course our leader's kid won the laptop last year for selling a gazillion boxes! My kids sold like 100 and got a pen or something stupid like that LOL.

I like GS for the camp and for the values that it teaches them. The community service and the things they learn like how to cook and sew and make camp fires and the friends they make. They have great little outings that they go on and they get to learn fun stuff but this part of it, well you know how I feel. :)

Cristabel--your new family member is adorable! (I saw a baby goat in a feed store next door to my vet the other day--I WANTED it--it was SOOOO cute. Of course, never mind that I have no room for it, I'm not zoned for it, etc. I still WANTED it! It even talked (ok, baaaa'd) to me--it loves me. (Now who's delusional.))

Ok ladies, the DVC Tour group is the following:

For those of you that have not signed up, we will be getting refreshments and a private tour of the new Grand California Villa models, along with a 'safe' place to ask all the questions about DVC that ever wanted answered. I am told that there might be some surprises too. Even if you're not in a place to think about purchasing now (and might never be) I still think it will be a lot of fun.

I still need the name, address and phone info from:

21yankees (Steph) (I had it on the envelope from the cards at Christmas but ripped the address!)

Fairykin (Dawn) and Dawn will your Mom be coming?
Grizbuzz (Jennifer)
Zoemakes5 (Michelle)

Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone,

I received the transfer paper I ordered from HP today. I was supposed to receive it on Monday, but FedX couldn't get it delivered because of the roads until today.

We finally got a bit of a melt thanks so some warmer temps, but it's getting cold again. I pray we don't get dumped on with more snow now that it's getting colder again.

The only down side to the melt is that the end of our driveway is flooded. I'm going to have to go out in about 15 minutes, wade through the water, get Luke off the afternoon kindergarten bus, and then carry him while I wade back through the water. At least when it gets a bit colder, the water will freeze and the kids will be able to just walk over it when they go to/from the bus stop.

Also, school is in session today.....finally! YAY YAY YAY!!!:yay: :woohoo: :yay:

Hi girls! I just wanted to stop by and say hi! I'm heading off to Whole Foods to get supplies for a new client. Everything has to be glueten-free, plus there are other restrictions. I guess I'l be doing a lot of label-reading today.

I hope you are all having a great day!!!!!

But we DO do the pre-sales of the cookies. That is what is starting tomorrow.

Maybe the problem is that I know no one locally with a kid in Girl Scouts!:rotfl:

could there have been MSG in the eggplant?

You know, that's a good thought/point/idea. It's possible. I've never had a really obvious reaction to MSG, but there have been some things that kind of "ping" MSG into my head every so often. As a kid/teen I used to blame it on the white rice, since we never had it at home and I would just gobble it like crazy, but it's definitely possible that it's an MSG thing. Crud. Gotta ask 'em about it...we love the owners, they are so nice and they just adore how Eamon bows to their Buddha (one of the very few asian restaurants around here run by Buddhists...everyone else has converted away from it), but if they are harming me well I can't have that, can I?

Sorry I'm so whiny today, last night's sleep was awful! I must have woken up 5 times inside of 1.5 hours, each time thinking I had heard something and one time b/c I was almost sick.

gosh, well most non-chain Chinese places I know will gladly leave out the MSG if they know you have an issue with it. So talk to them and try that next time. But I know it can sometimes make me feel bloated and yucky.

LOL Molly. Yup that's probably why! ;) Well I think my leader said there is a way you can order them online too. I will have to ask, if you are TRULY interested. And I never knew this but I think every state has different bakers and even different types of cookies. Here I thought they were all the same but they aren't. Just shows you how much "I" pay attention. Shows you how much I GIVE a rip! NOT! I don't even eat the dumb things cuz I am always on a diet. ESP at THIS time of year. SO dumb if you ask me. I think they could sell SO many more cookies too if they didn't try to sell them RIGHT after the flippin holidays. I mean PUHLEEZE!!! Everyone is so sick and tired of all the sweets comin right off the flippin holidays plus most people are at least TRYING to stick to their resolutions and diets in January. I guess they figure by Feb or March when the site sales happen they have given up by then LOL.

But I think if they were smart they would sell them in June or something cuz by then people would probably buy them but that's just me. When I tell my leader this though she just says smart alec stuff like "well you can freeze them" :) YEAH WHATEVA!!! Can you tell I'm a smart azzzzz! ;)

Anywho hope you are feeling better today! I HATE when I eat stuff that makes me feel all bloated and yucky! Esp when I am trying to diet. Actually I never SAY I am dieting. I just say that I am changing my lifestyle and eating better/healthier. I don't "diet". I just try to eat smaller portions and as healthy as possible. And I don't give up the bad stuff I just eat it less often and smaller portions when I DO partake. ;)

Diet is a dirty word! :)

Just a quick hello. I'm super busy setting up a new program for our NIE (newspapers in education) program. AHHHH! I wish I could just scream out load right now. I'm so frustrated and going crazy! :dance3:

I just tracked my Zazzle order and it says it's out for delivery. So I'll let you all know how the shirts turned out for me...'cause I know you are all on the edge of your seats waiting in anticipation.

Well, I am - but I have no life right now :rotfl2:
