DVC Chit Chat Thread

Yes, I'm having a problem with the price, because another of my favorite sites is only $15 a year.

Yep, I'm having the same problems. It's fine on my Win 11 desktop, difficult on my iPad, nearly unusable on my iPhone.

Same here. I'm still not sure, especially since I found out DH pays $15 a month for premium access to his college sports site. But my ad blocker only costs $40 a year, and there's another of my usual sites that needs it too. :(

It would be nice if there was a similar tier system like how the rent/trade board works.

I stayed there the year it opened as an older kid. It was really nice. I think these pics are from shortly after it opened but I could be wrongView attachment 1059908View attachment 1059909

Spoodles! We used to eat there almost every trip. In fact we (5 of us) had dinner there on DVC the day I signed my contracts.

I also enjoyed ice cream, m&m's and jelly beans at Seashore Sweets - my youngest was 8 that year and she always wanted to go there.

The Deli had really good cinnamon rolls and little loafs of banana bread. (Similar to those you could get at Main Street Bakery). They also used to have a soup and sandwich lunch special and a lobster roll & chowder some of the time.

For the wings, burger and chicken nuggets crowd, there was ESPN Zone - you could get takeout. You couldn't always get a seat. With kids in school we did xmas, easter, spring break, thanksgiving - not all of them every year. We even went in summer a few times.

I enjoy a good sit down meal but I can't eat large meals all the time. And after a week at Disney on the dining plan, it was just too much food for me. (We used to regularly get the dining plan.) The regular one. There was the over the top option also but I don't remember the quick service option in my earlier trips. When they changed the dining plans, that's when the dumbing down of the menus started.

I’m losing track of what’s in and out of bounds to post here (sorry @Sandisw ) but yesterday we decided to explore a non-DVC resort just for fun - I hadn’t been to Port Orleans FQ in decades - the beignets lived up to the hype! Well worth the boat trip from DS.
I think they have vegan ones too! I can get there from Boardwalk via the Skyliner right?

Does anyone have the solid color ears from the shops and has used them for autographs? If so I’m curious the best marker for it and have they held up?

Keeping it DVC or Dosney related like this is fine!

This is probably an unpopular opinion here, but I would give the current Epcot lounge back to get the original ImageWorks back and a properly updated Figment. The lounge can be relocated to a space with a bathroom 🤣
Put the lounge in that other DVC thing that opened at Epcot that does nothing for current members.

You might be thinking of CBR. The beignets are at POFQ. From BW take bus to DS, from DS boat or bus to POFQ.
Probably. Darn if it requires a bus it a no go even though I love desserts. I’m still such a WDW novice.
