Same here! But I don't care. My hair is too brittle, and thin to dye it so it will just have to be gray.

I am bringing mittens. I hate having cold hands.

I found the perfect solution for me. At Walmart they have mini backpacks for 7 bucks. It's great because it's smaller then a full size back pack and yet large enough so haul all my junk and water bottles. :thumbsup2

I started packing this morning. Got the mittens. I'm gonna make a WalMart trip today or tomorrow for some last minute things.

I am using my Columbia sling/pack thing. I love it. I almost bought a baggalini, but then it wouldn't make it here in time.

So was I until January. But then I thought it would look terrible, but I actually love it!! I was one of the last of the ladies (in my group of friends) to go short!! Our friend AMBS she is a stylist. So I had total confidence she wouldn't screw up. I closed my eyes, shed a few tears & then it was done.
It is so nice, I love it. Except for flat ironing it everyday its not bad.

I like that remedy!!!

Cheryl~ I am going to Wal Mart tomorrow if you need anything. Just let me know!!

A co-worker just cut off like 12 inches to donate to Lock of Love. Before she did I couldn't imagine her with short hair but it looks really good. I'm sure I would look okay but I don't know... It would be alot easier. Plus DBF would be happy. He says I shed too much. :lmao:

We don't have a group plan. It is BYOB:) But, I can highly recommend the Tomorrow land terrace breakfast platters and/or burritos etc. Maybe get some ladies in line and then send a small smattering to grab some breakfast?

And then there is the Blue Ribbon Bakery, but the line seems to be long for that.

Maybe leave the hotel early and hit McDonalds on the way in. I may go that route, because it does not take precious park time and I am an early riser anyhow. I actually like there coffee too!

I like the Caramel Iced Coffee from McDonald's. And the Fruit and Yogurt Parfaits.

I may need two suitcases!
Glad I'm not the only one! :rolleyes1

I haven't quite, um, told Eamon WHERE I'm going, but just that I'm going on a weekend with my friends. And yesterday he cornered me with his sad face and his crocodile tears, telling me how much he's going to miss me and how he's going to cry....
OMG, that would have done me in right there.

Good news, the baby is off the breathing tube and feeding tube.
Wonderful news!

I would need a schedule of where to meet people. I have to be away from parks from 4 to 7 pm. I have sensory issues and tend to hide over on disAbilities boards at disboards. Because of my hypersensitivity I would need things spelled out so I do not get befuddled.
Hi Laurie. I sent you a PM. Let me know what else I can do for you though. Even for us it can get confusing so don't worry about anything, just ask if you have any problems or questions at all. :goodvibes

I'll hold your hand if you hold mine.
Deal!

As some may have already known, DBF and I are back together.
What? And you didn't tell me this news first?? :sad2: ;)
Good for you. The fact that he's planning a surprise trip for you sounds like a step in the right direction already.

ok roadtrip partners.....

gotta say I am feeling like a horrible mother here. the 2 of you are already weepy and I can't wait to run screaming from this house of laundry, diapers, crayon-marked walls, and constant arguing over whose turn it is to play halo 3! no matter what happens on this trip, I won't have to wipe anyone's bottom (ok well except my own), cook anyone meals, or say 10 times a day "why didn't you tell mommy you had to go potty".

That alone is worth the world....being at DLR is just the icing on the cake.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I may not even shower.....
No worries, I've got perfume!

I am sure they won't mind...
I think Febreeze on Beth's list :lmao:
Yep, that too. :thumbsup2

Morning, everyone!!

I'm lôôking forward to meeting most of you tomorrow!!! And the rest during the weekend. :woohoo:

Hope you're feeling better, Beth! Michelle, hope you're still coming. I haven't been able to keep up with all the goings on in the thread, so I'll just have to make do around you great ladies. :flower:
Hi Mary Jo! Thanks for the well wishes and I can't wait to see you again! :)

Can I whine for a second? Today is not going as planned.
Of course you can whine. That's what we are here for. I'm sorry things are not going right at the moment. Hang in there and I hope the meds kick in fast!!

I'll have my cell phone with, BUT, the number on the list that Beth sent out is NOT my cell phone number.
That's right, BUT on the list I sent to January it is updated and correct. :thumbsup2 I'm so glad you are coming!

I really wish I could join you all since it sounds like you have a lot of fun things planned :sad1:. Unfortunately, life has really been going down hill for me and my family so I won't be able to join you guys at all.
Katie!! Aw man, that sucks you can't make it. I hope everything is ok, or will be ok for y'all. And we will definitely be doing this again so we'll expect to see you next year, or maybe for the mini meet in October. :thumbsup2

I am off to my doc apt here in a an hour and then the rest of the day not much else going on.
Good luck at the doc and getting things ready the rest of the day. See you soon!

As some may have already known, DBF and I are back together. We talked and talked and talked some more. We worked things out. Well, wasn't much to work out, but we are good now. And because of that he has decided that he wants to take me somewhere as a surprise. I usually always plan our trips, but he wants to do this one. Just a small two day overnight thing. So next weekend he will be surprising me. I have no idea where we will be going. Any guesses?

:thumbsup2 You know your Dis girlfriends will be there for you no matter what happens. And my guess is . . . . Catalina. I love it this time of year when there's nobody there.

and we will be nearing Disney!!

I just gotta say...can't come close to keeping up with these boards, but I read enough to see there was a lot of hair cutting and coloring going on.

Just so you all know...I won't even be thinking about doing anything like that. The past week has just about killed me and I am not at all prepared to take this trip...but I don't care.

Tomorrow night I am throwing some clothes in a bag, getting a few winks sleep, and hitting the road to pick up the other Vegas gals! You'll have to take me as I am.

I may not even shower.....

Well, I am certainly showering, but not sure how organized I'm going to be otherwise. I do have everyone's candy packed in the car, along with many other thingies and now my worry is whether I have room for my luggage! I did make room for the cooler for the jello shots!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to pop in and wish you all a great trip :cool1:.

I really wish I could join you all since it sounds like you have a lot of fun things planned :sad1:. Unfortunately, life has really been going down hill for me and my family so I won't be able to join you guys at all.

But if this becomes an annual tradition, you can count me in for next year :thumbsup2:.

I'm really looking forward to reading the trip reports from this year.

Katie we'll miss you. Good thoughts to you and your family.

yeah A23:yay: i Love Southwest too!

hugs for Michelle and Tracey..thanks for the good wishes.. my DH is going to take me and my parents to this neat little soup bistro for lunch.. you know soup makes everything better.:grouphug:

:wizard: pixie dust for the eyeS to get better!

I love soup. I think I could eat it everyday. And yay to everybody with boarding passes!

Ok, Tina, Capri and Debra could you remind me again when you think you will be getting to Hojo's? I'm just trying to figure out my day tomorrow. thanks.

My DH checked in for me, since I am on the road to work when the 24 hour window started. He was able to get me A23! I love Southwest!
I've never flown Southwest so I don't know what that means.......but YAY for A23!!!! :yay: :woohoo:

I like the Caramel Iced Coffee from McDonald's. And the Fruit and Yogurt Parfaits.
I've never had one of those Parfaits. I wonder if that would be a good breakfast option for me. Is it rather bland? I know eggs and bacon are out of the questions for sure. lol

Who needs luggage when you have candy and jello shots? :confused3 ;)

I can't believe we are leaving tomorrow!!!! :cool1:

I walked the twins to school today and even though it's only a few blocks, it took a lot out of me. :sad2: I see lots of park bench sitting in my future.

And I'll be the slow poke bringing up the rear. If someone could just turn around every now and then and make sure I'm still back there and haven't collapsed somewhere along the Main Street that'd be great. Oh, and if I do pass out, just push me over to the side so I don't get run over by any strollers. Thanks. :flower3:

Good luck getting ready today everyone! Who's going to wait until midnight tonight to start packing? :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Capri~ Do you print your boarding passes or get them when you get to the airport?

I usually print my boarding pass, but since we're checking bags, I don't think printing them at home is going to save us any time, right? I'll probably still check in online and print one out though.....for some reason, it makes me feel better that they know I'm coming......so they don't bump me.:goodvibes

Can I whine for a second? Today is not going as planned. I was supposed to attend a conference in San Jose today (I scored complimentary tickets which is needed these days when companies don't pay for professional develpoment kind of things). Anyway, I'm house bound with two cases of conjunctivitis (DS4 and me). I want to blame my DH, as DS4 had a doctor appointment yesterday due to his cold and red eyes, but DH insisted I should cancel it. Anyway, today I have a mild case of pink eye as well and I can't send DS to preschool until he's been on medication for at least 24 hours. So today is shot. And I am tired and grumpy and frustrated that things are not going according to plan.

Don't worry, meds are on the way and I will be completely cured of this mild case of conjunctivitis by Friday morning. I just feel like I'm walking through molasses today and can't get anywhere I feel I need to. But in the big scheme of things, all this stuff is silly and good things are coming soon!

I'm so sorry you guys have eye infections. That's a bummer. I hope you and your little guy get better soon.

When I was a kid, I came down with a HORRIBLE case of congunctivitis on the day we were driving home from a vacation in Canada. The infection was so bad, it actually made me ill (weak, fever, sick), and I missed several days of school. I remember I had to take oral medicine (antibiotics maybe) and my mom had to put some kind of eye ointment in my eye a few times per day. What I mainily remember though was how disgusting my eye was!

Oh shoot, I'm so sorry to hear things aren't going well. I hope things get better for you and your family. I'll miss seeing you!

Beth, I think I'll be in the back with you. This is cold is MUCH better, but I'm wiped. Weslept in until 9am this morning. I plan on nappng with the boys later.

Yay for A23! Stacie and I are going to check in soon. I hope we get some good numbers.

We have a thief at work. She's taking wallets, money, anything she can. We share lockers and when I got to work, my 'locker partner' had our locker full of girl scout cookies! I was paranoid all day that my stuff was going to be stolen. I had visions of having to drive the speed limit all the way to DLR because I wouldn't have my ID! I didn't let her near my stuff though (we have a really good feeling about who's doing the stealing.), and so I'm all good to fly tomorrow!

Talk with you later!

Heather

Capri, checking in online will get you on the plane sooner, and thus able to pick our seat out better. Even if you're checking luggage, I would still do things online. Then when you get to the Southwest counter, you can use one of those quick self serve kiosks to check your luggage in. I think it still saves time! :thumbsup2

We're flying Alaska, so Deb and I already have our seat assignments. But you bring up a good point about the self serve kiosks......I wonder if Alaska has self serve kiosks (at the Spokane airport) to check our luggage? I'm going to try and find out.:thumbsup2

I'm sorry to hear that you are still so drained. That's not good, but it would be nice to have company bringing up the rear.

Enjoy your nap later on. That sounds like a good idea.

Oh sorry! :flower3: I like the self serve thingys. They are super easy to use. They have an employee working with them like at the grocery store, and everyone acts scared of them. I've never had a problem using them, and I've checked many a piece of luggage in my day.

I'm going to miss my boys so much. I've never been away from them overnight. Ever. And they're sick.

I am excited though!

I like them for breakfast. I think it's vanilla yogurt and berries. The only problem is that they only have 2 sizes. The regular is too much for me to eat and the $1.00 one is tiny.

Heather, call me, I think I deleted your home phone number!!!

Or horses!

If anything, Beth, we'll rent you a wheelchair..but! I get to ride it when you're walking :rotfl:

For those of you that can't afford the whole $75 of the VIP tour would you be interested in taking half a tour??? You would get to do a 3 hour tour (humm.... maybe you will meet a nice Millionare on the trip ;) ) from 10-1 for $37.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know money is hard, that and time is why I can't do the whole trip. But if you can take half the tour you will be doing me the most hugest, biggest favor!!!! I don't want to leave any of the other ladies hanging. Yes I am begging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I have never checked in online. What do I do then??

Stacie~ I leave for work before Chris, so I stopped by his office & his office manager let me in & I left a jumbo box of saran wrap on his desk. :lmao:

Hmmmm, yesterday I liked my hair color, but today I don't.....I think it looks too dark. Well, the color did say "dark brown"......they weren't kidding!

It did cover the grays really well though. Normally I use Peforming Preference, but this time I used Revlon Color Silk, and Revlon colored my gray hairs (white hairs actually) WAY better than Performing Preference ever did. Plus it was on sale......I only payed $2.96 for Revlon at Walmart.:thumbsup2
