Stacie ~ that story was freakin funny!! I was rollin last night while I was reading. The kids were looking at me like I was crazy!! Lets just say that is kinda sorta how I met Chris...minus the wedding part & vomiting...but the drunken part I had covered....

Good to know! I mean seriously, there are places where chafing from a jean seam is not wanted.....and um how to put this delicately...how do you keep from feeling 'less than fresh' as the day goes on? I mean really.

Oh, and the only reason I own white grannies is because they they look the best under my nursing uniforms. I like to be sassy at any other time. Trust me, my patients don't want me to be sassy on them! :3dglasses

:lmao:

OMG! It's too early to be laughing this much already!! What am I going to do the rest of the day now?

Am I in HS again!?! The peer pressure around here is the worst...next thing you know, Callie will be asking me to smoke one with her. :lmao: :smokin:

You know I really do need some new spring colored underwear, the ones I have are boring white and some dark fall colors. I really do need some new underwear the more I think about it... :rotfl2:

They have medicine for premature celebration now. You can't take it if you're on an ace inhibitor though. Beth you should ask your doctor if it's right for you. :thumbsup2

I love jello shots! What will the malibu be good in? Are we having any juice at the party for mixers? I love malibu with pineapple juice...is it any good in coke? :confused3

I'm thinking of quiting my job and camping out in Stacie's driveway...do you think that will make the trip come any faster?

I'm off to bed. I have to work this weekend. Talk with you all later.

Heather

Come on over! And I'll even let you inside if you need to use the bathroom! Especially if you have new underwear... no pressure though!

I think I have a plan for Thursday morning for us... I'll PM you as soon as I get it figured out.

I feel the exact same way.

I've started to get MORE disturbed when i can't see underwear than when I can.

Though that young woman we saw walking along pacific hwy who was wearing tight jeans and enormous granny panties hanging out over those jeans...that, um, wasn't the Best Look Ever.

The worst is when you can see the little thong string across their hips and their pants/shorts are lower than that! I saw a MOM of a teenager like that! Don't her kids tell her what that looks like?!?

What club do you join if you don't wear underwear?

The club of not walking in front of me?

Oh yeah! I want to join that club!

As long as they don't think it is ok to also wear short skirts then its ok.

They also cannot bend over! I think I would

if that happened!

That's just WRONG! Although I do have to confess that I have to shave my DH's back every month. He has none on top, but lots everywhere else. Oh, was that TMI?

Happy V day everyone! I had a great one today. Shane def surprised me. He had a bud vase sitting on my dresser with a card that said follow the flowers. I opened up the first card and it was a valentines card. It was really cute and had a gal in a house dress or something and said something like after all these years you are still sexy or something like that. Anyway then he had placed some flowers every few feet down the stairs just like I had mentioned that he did several years ago and it lead down to my computer and he bought me one of those digital photo frames and had a note on it to push play. He also had the rest of the roses in a vase along with an anniversary card.

He had put a bunch of old pics of the kids and of us on the frame. The frame also plays music and while I was looking at the pics it played some songs that meant a lot to us. So it was a really neat vday/anniversary gift!

Today we are going to probably rent a couple movies and just hang out.

Then tomorrow night we are going to go out and have dinner and go see He's Just not that into you. So I think it will be a good weekend!

Then as I said the kids have all next week off and since the mountains are just WAY too crazy we decided to take the kids to the museum in SF instead. So I think it will be a good weekend. He REALLY surprised me. I was NOT expecting that at all.

I hope everyone has a GREAT day and gets lots of surprises from their so's and for those that are going it alone I hope you go out and find something really fun to do for yourself. Go out with some friends or get yourself some movies and some yummy food and just enjoy your day! Don't worry about the situation but just think about our upcoming trip and how much fun we are about to have!

Have a GREAT day!

ok this made me laugh!! you need to come work in vegas for a bit..lol.

seriously, on the topic of nurses and underwear, I have had to have many conversations with both nurses and physicians about "appropriate underwear". There was the cute young physician who would wear thongs, and everytime she bent over you got a great shot of them. Patients loved it. Then the nurses (who I often wondered if nursing was just their "day job") who would wear thongs and roll the waistband of their scrub pants down below their hips so you could see them!! Seriously!???!!!?? I mean, a lot of patients are just normal people but mixed in with them (especially here) are a lot of nutsos that do NOT need to be seeing a young girls stuff...especially while on medication!!

Have I ever told you all I love my job??

No, after the grannies sticking out from the jeans, I *longed* for a strip of thong, wished so so so badly that all she'd been wearing was the thong. The grannies sticking out were just that awful.

And she wasn't old or heavy at all! I do not know what she was thinking.

Hi ladies!! I hope you are all having a good day so far. I've been cleaning all morning long because my Grandparents are coming today!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:
They live in Michigan but have been in CA for the last three months helping to care for an ailing family member.
Anyway, they are on their way home now (driving back) and are stopping by here on the way for a visit. Sadly it will only be for a night or two, but it's better then nothing. :)

I'll try to check in later tonight. OH! I was typing and Ruben just walked in with roses!!

Okay, talk to you later.

Hi everybody. Well, I just spent my day at Disneyland! It rained hard last night but I woke up to bright sun. Sleeping Knight--another Dis-er, is down for the weekend for his birthday. We both collect art and have "talked" about that, so he let me know he would be here and we spent this morning and early afternoon doing some rides and talking everything Disney. Can I just say--and I mean this with the greatest respect--that if he was a girl he would totally fit in with our group because he is another Disney "nut"--we had a very nice time including a visit with Chip and Dale for the Disney Visa Meet and Greet Photo. We went on Buzz, Star Tours, IASW (love the additions of the characters--I think it's very tastefully done), Toy Story (single rider line--we actually ended up riding together!), and Soarin' (single rider line--but this time got separated--which was cool except my line took FOREVER.) Then we had lunch at Award Weiners and it was time for me to go. Tracey arrived mid-day and called me--but for some reason my phone didn't ring or I was somewhere there wasn't a signal. I called her back while we were eating lunch and they had just gotten off the Jungle Cruise. I was in DCA and honestly, my feet were killing me (because I don't usually rent an ECV for a one-day trip). So I didn't go over to DL (because I probably could not have made it!) But I'll see her in three weeks so as someone says, "It's All Good."

Anyway, I'm planning to chill out for the rest of my V-Day--maybe crack open a bottle of wine later and toast the single life.

Oh, and I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about just what kinda guy I'm looking for--and the word "authentic" keeps coming to mind. Isn't that weird?

Now, to comment on some of your earlier comments!

You girls are killing me today! Too funny!!!
We were smart enough to schedule our tax appointment today, on Friday the 13th, and after that I was just done. so I have spent the last several hours trying to finish up the first season of Lost. I just have the one episode left, and then I'll have to get season 2 from my friend.
We are leaving on a last-minute trip to the mountains bright and early in the morning, since I guess it is snowing up there. So try not to chatter for 100 pages, please. I have a busy week coming up, and it would just take me forever to catch up!
Have a great Valentine's Day, friends!

Tina--have a wonderful trip and V-Day. And I can't promise anything on the chatter.

Get packing then!! I will tell you tons of stories come March if you want.

And even the best story sounds even better with a cocktail. :thumbsup2

Can I just say . . . . .EWWWWWWWW~

Although I do have to confess that I have to shave my DH's back every month. He has none on top, but lots everywhere else. Oh, was that TMI?

Yes, Stacie. TMI!!!!!!!

I just don't know what everyone finds so bad about white granny panties . . . I think they can be quite fetching.

Have fun with the grandparents and YAY for Ruben (but did we expect anything less after his act of devotion and love in driving you to Calif. for the last ladies trip?)

Yeah TMI, but still sweet of you to do for him. Has to be true love.

At one facility I used to work at we had podiatry residents. There was one that went commando and was proud of it. I miss those days.

Come on Tag Fairy.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Cheryl, how awesome that you got to meet SleeplessKnight (it is SleeplessKnight, right?). He's the one who has Sleeping Beauty holding a light saber in his avatar. I really like him and read some of his TR on his ABD Behind the Magic Tour. Sounds like you two had a good time sharing your Disney addiction today.

Were the parks super crowded?

Yes, it was SleeplessKnight--duhhhh--how dopey am I?

Actually, it didn't seem that bad--but we left DL at 11 a.m. and only rode Buzz, Star Tours and IASW. (He had been there since 8 a.m.--I got there about 9:15). No lines really for those--maybe 5-10 min. for IASW.

But there were a ton of people walking up Main Street as we were walking down it. I even commented on the crush of people coming up the street. And there was a huge line out onto the sidewalk for City Hall--but we figured that was for the birthday promotion (people getting their gift cards). The line at the ticket booths was extremely long--and I saw a lot of people when I was leaving holding what looked like their email confirmations where they had registered their birthdays. I think the birthday promotion has really increased attendance. I met three people who had come specifically because one member of their party was having a birthday (including an adorable 4-year old in her Cinderella dress! She had a birthday button, a Celebrations button and a 1st Visit button--her mum said she clanked when she ran!)

DCA had a lot of people. The line was 40 min. for TSMM but we used the single rider line and maybe waited 10 minutes. Same thing for Soarin. So, yes, there did seem to be a lot of people--mostly people for the holiday weekend. But I think a lot of locals may have stayed away because it rained last night and it might rain again tonight. (and tomorrow). The line for Taste Pilot's Grill was insane, however, so we did have a late lunch instead at Award Weiners. I had never eaten there before--we maybe waited in line 5 minutes and there were plenty of tables in that new area they constructed next door.

It was cool to meet SK--especially since I am the first Dis-er he had ever met! I've really enjoyed his trip reports too--he is a very die-hard Disney fan!

How kewl, CheryL!
I always thought He sounded like a really good guy:goodvibes

What kind of art do you collect?
i Love art and art history and history!
Arlight i'm a nerdgirl:upsidedow

It's been great to see my Grandparents again!! I've missed them. My aunt is flying in tomorrow to help them drive back but they are going to stay until at least Tuesday before heading back so I'm hoping to show them around a bit.
We'll see. It's hard for them to get around. My Grandpa is almost 82!
And yes, Ruben is a keeper. I somehow lucked out with him. :lovestruc

I loved reading about your day. Sounds like a really nice visit and I'm glad you were able to hook up and have some fun.

Well, I just wanted to pop in and see what's going on. Doesn't look like much. Hopefully that means everyone was out having a nice day.

Night!

Well, the great thing about Vegas is valet parking--so wherever you go he won't have far to walk:thumbsup2

Night back--I'm TIRED!!!!!
