Wow - this has been a lousy day!!! I wanted to make a pomegranate martini and I shook up the juice - like you're supposed to - and my son says he thinks it's carbonated. I'm like - you're nuts, this is 100% juice, no carbonation.... Well, holy moly, that thing blew up all OVER the kitchen I think maybe it had started to ferment or something (it's 100% natural juice so the sugars in it turned to alcohol I think). Do you have any IDEA how hard it is to clean up pomegranate juice from a white ceiling???? And I don't even have a nice drink to show for my troubles

Theresa, that's a bummer about your cocktail! I hope you made a new one asap! That same type of thing happened to us a few years ago when we were setting up for a party at our house. We were talking about how far ahead we were, and how we wouldn't have to be rushing right before guests arrived, when my sis in law dropped a bottle of coke in the kitchen. That sucker spun in circles, spraying down my entire kitchen, including the curtains! What a mess that was!

cheryl we can be cell mates.. in texas it's against the law to pick certain wildflowers.. i always pick them.. Bob says i'm going to end up in jail for it and my Dad says.. "dawn, you wouldn't do well in jail and you wouldn't like the wardrobe".

the twins went to bed early tonight...i think they are thinking about getting colds. i'm tired too..i never sleep well when my husbands out of town. the dogs seem to know he's gone too and bark at every little thing.

i wonder how Melody's booth did. i bet she is really tired.

i need some of WendyLouWho's redbull with ice cold mandrian vodka. maybe tomorrow night.

oooohhh green apple martini's are so delicious when served cold, they are crisp and tart like a jolly rancher green apple candy.

Hello friends! Well, I leave for St. Louis bright and early tomorrow morning-- our flight is at 7:45, so we are meeting at 6 am to leave wiggle room for the few that I know will inevitablly be late!

But, I might as well have been gone already given the fact that this is the first time I've logged on today and I still need to finish packing tonight. And, I want to be the one to put Ty down to bed tonight (Dave usually does it) since I will be gone the next three nights. This is the last time that I will ever stand for have a new employee starting on the same day that I am leaving for a conference Seriously, the timing couldn't be any worse, but I am so desperate for her to start!!!


Amy, Heather and I will hopefully have a name soon. I am going to PM them a few ideas after I post this.

Hopefully by the time I get back the tag fairy will have heard my please to get my tag back. I feel so naked without it!

OOhhh. Yard House's Pomegranate Martini's are the bestest. Sorry about the "shake up"--and no, I cannot imagine getting pom juice off a white ceiling? I would drink the straight alcohol. Get it over with quicker (and feel better faster).

See, my philosophy is opposites. You should have said--"oh no, we are so behind we will never get ready in time" and then that wouldn't have happened. If I want something to happen I convince myself it never will. And then it does. I seem to be adverse to the Universe.
