I know! He turned RED.. i dried him off and wrapped him up in layers and made warm tea.

I swear.. my blood pressure is sky high from it. Of course my husband had his sky high phone/mini computer chinaberry or whatever phone in his pocket and so now it is ruined. I just called verizon...luckily we bought the insurance so it's only costing us 50 dollars for a new one to be overnighted tonight.:headache:

I haven't even started packing. I will think about that tomorrow when the twins go home.

I wish there were packing elves to come over and pack for me. Maybe a monkey butler even.

You should look online for ways to try to dry out cellphones...(chinaberry LOL).

Pools are so hard. I have a friend living in Texas (in Humble) and she's in a community that borders a golf course. Her backyard is right against it...they have to have pretty backyards, and they can't have proper fences to keep people out of their yard or their pool. They're in between a rock and a hard place, b/c they can't put up anything proper that would make the pool safer (like a nice locking fence right around it), but they would be on the hook if anything were to happen (one night during a storm, teenagers were climbing the low, pretty fences and playing in peoples' yards, including hers!). Awful. And now she has a 1 year old, and can't put up anything. It's so hard.

Hey fairykin, I was thinking about a post yesterday on the community board, and although I almost never look at who is posting what when I reply to them (I don't want to be angry with anyone), I think I was a little snarky in a reply about that whole Jolie/Pitt/Aniston thing, and I think it was to you. So I wanted to apologize for my possible snarkiness or abruptness.

Hi all!!

A couple of things.....I've seen people ask the last few days when the Pizza Party is....it starts at 7:30, with the pizza arriving at 8. The cost will be $10, but that will include the wine, beer, soda, pizza, salad, veggies and dip, games, decorations...well you get the idea! You can drop off your candy early to Stacie, Cheryl, or me, or we're thinking it will be okay to leave it at the front desk, OR bring it to the party. We'll set up what we have and then allow others to fill in what they bring.

Capri, if there's anything I can do to help you, please let me know. I understand how tough it is dealing with parents with health issues.

Donna, welcome!! I'm (fairly) local, too, with an AP (I'm renewing again on our trip). Are you going to come for more events over the weekend? We'd love to have you! Please come to the Pizza Party over at HoJo's, too! That would be so much fun, and you'll be able to meet everyone there.

I'm bringing a few of Zoe's princess tiara's, just in case someone needs one for the picture, but isn't really keen on buying one, or unable to find one. I got the ones I got at Clairs, they are really combs with a tiara on it, so it will stay better in my hair and not give me such a headache. Right now, Claires has a buy one, get one half off for all their hair supplies, including the tiaras.

Hi ladies! I am definitely coming up with my family for my bday weekend, we check in on friday, would love to run into ya gals! DH is trying to get sat off from work, if he cannot then he will go home friday night or early sat morning and it will be and the kids, but at least he will be there for my bday, right???

Ladies, thank you, thank you , thank you, for all your kind words and prayers.......update, your prayers worked! :grouphug: :yay: :yay:

My mom just called me and said his heart is working well and his lungs are clear. The ER doctor thinks he still has an upper respiratory infection, which he's had for about 2-3 weeks, and although he has already taken a course of antibiotics, the doc prescribed him another course. They also had him breathe in some kind of medication mixed with oxygen for quite some time, and I guess that helped him A LOT, so the doctor also prescribed an inhaler with the same medication for my dad to use at home for a few weeks. I guess his brochial tubes are so inflamed and filled with so much phlem and gunk, that he just couldn't get much oxygen into his lungs. Mix that with congestive heart failure, and well, you get a pretty sick guy, but he should recover.:thumbsup2

It's so hard when your parents get old and sickly......every phone call makes you jump because you think it's that dreaded call.

Anyway, I want to thank all of you again! I'm so grateful to have a wonderful group of friends like you guys!:grouphug:

(disneysupermom - one more prayer here...)

I am a newcomer to your group but wanted to say hi to all.:goodvibes I am a local and will have a brand new AP so I am officially on the list now for the Ariel lunch on Thursday! Even though I go to DL about once a year, I've never done this lunch before. Well, what do you expect, my DH is not really into dining with princesses and I don't have kids (just cats).

It will be fun to meet many of you in person. I just came back from my first trip to WDW (staying at Beach Club, it was fab).

I'm into movies, books (thrillers mostly), snorkeling, and all animals. I'm just beginning to learn about pins. Any pin fans going to the lunch?

Those of you are going to Club 33 will have a great time! I was there about 8 years ago.

Anyway, if any first-timers have any DL questions, or last-minute weather questions, etc. feel free to PM me.:wizard:

:wave2: Donna

Ohmygosh Capri... *bigTightHug*... i'll keep Your Daddy in my prayers and do some deep breathing tonight in my meditation for Him. And You... take good care of yourself.

my grandson just fell in the pool..and the pool is super cold because we live high up..so he was beet red. He was riding his tricycle and turned straight into the deep end of the pool. My poor husband had to dive in and get him out. It would be no big deal but the water was super cold.

hhhmmmmm... everyone is warm and dry now.

So glad to hear that both your husband and grandson are alright. I can't even imagine how scary that must have been.

Long day, but I'm glad that Capri's Dad is feeling better.

We got some answers today, but due to Nathan's age, she wants to see him again in about 5 weeks to do a more in depth eval. She wants to be sure about the exact placement on the autism spectrum she is going to put him. So right now, we have a broad diagnosis of PDD, and she will narrow it down in March.

OK, talk with you all later...I'm exhausted!

Oh my gosh! the angels were looking after him!

I was out and about today and getting stuff for the trip, especially the pizza party. I have no idea how I am gonna get everything into my car. I have my floor covered in stuff that I need to take. All in bags. UGH! I haven't even pulled my suitcases out yet.

Same here--I've got lots of candy and stuff to bring--plus my regular stuff. I also have to borrow a cooler between now and next week (I'm sure some friends have one) so that I have a place to keep the jello shots nice and cool (since I have to go to a business meeting Thursday morning  ) which also means that I have to dress up and then change clothes there or somewhere before I go to Ariel's (don't want to be wearing a business suit and dress shoes walking around DLR).

That is such good news. I always hold my breath when I call my Mom because I know one of these days she's not going to answer.

Heather: well, it's good that you're at least getting a diagnosis. sometimes (as you know) that is the hardest part. Once you get a diagnosis then you can attack the problem.

Ok ladies, we have a winner in the SUPER SECRET CONTEST. It will be announced Thursday night at the Pizza Party!!!!! It was so hard for Sarah and I to decide--all the choices were so great!!!!

I can't wait to see pictures!

Tonight is the finale of Top Chef!!!
Team Hooty HooooOOOooo

Big night tonight! Idol and Top Chef!

Oh dear, my mom just called and said she had to take my dad to the hospital (in Lake Havasu). He's 81 years old with congestive heart failure and diabetes. I guess he couldn't do anything at all.....not even the simplest thing, without losing his breath and gasping for air. I'm sure he must have fluid in his lungs. I'm really worried. He hasn't been doing well at all lately. My poor daddy.....I know he's getting up there in years, but I'd like to keep him around for awhile longer if I can.:sad1:

I know we've had a lot of prayers here lately, but if any of you have a little leftover, could you say a prayer for my dad?

Oh no! I hope he's ok.

I probably won't pack until Tuesday or Wednesday.
Ditto!

Well, I'm probably off for the night. Marty just screamed to me that the sink is overflowing into the washing machine!:scared1:

OMG, how scary! I don't like my kids near pools. But that's because I can't swim so they make me nervous. I'm glad he's ok.

I bet you are exhausted. It's physically AND mentally draining. Get some rest.

Who is it?!?!?! :yay: You can tell me. I won't tell anyone else, I promise. ;)

Wow... it's been another crazy, busy day for the DisDivas, but I am glad to know that everyone is alright.

Reporting back on my mini-drama of the day, Ty is fine but he does have to spend the next ten days on an antibiotic to counter any nasties that may have entered his system through the bite site. Apparently human bites are far more dangerous than dogs and some other animals due to how many dangerous organisms live in our mouths--especially the mouths of toddlers!

Seriously, next Thursday cannot get here fast enough!!!

Oh, and :welcome: Donna!!! I look forward to meeting you at the Ariel lunch and hope you'll join in for as many other events as possible.

Well, I'm probably off for the night. Marty just screamed to me that the sink is overflowing into the washing machine!:scared1:

Ours usually only does that on major holidays.

We have our ways. And it doesn't include hooker shoes either.
