Oh dear, my mom just called and said she had to take my dad to the hospital (in Lake Havasu). He's 81 years old with congestive heart failure and diabetes. I guess he couldn't do anything at all.....not even the simplest thing, without losing his breath and gasping for air. I'm sure he must have fluid in his lungs. I'm really worried. He hasn't been doing well at all lately. My poor daddy.....I know he's getting up there in years, but I'd like to keep him around for awhile longer if I can.:sad1:

I know we've had a lot of prayers here lately, but if any of you have a little leftover, could you say a prayer for my dad?

Absolutely . . . .

(disneysupermom - one more prayer here...)

I am a newcomer to your group but wanted to say hi to all.:goodvibes I am a local and will have a brand new AP so I am officially on the list now for the Ariel lunch on Thursday! Even though I go to DL about once a year, I've never done this lunch before. Well, what do you expect, my DH is not really into dining with princesses and I don't have kids (just cats).

It will be fun to meet many of you in person. I just came back from my first trip to WDW (staying at Beach Club, it was fab).

I'm into movies, books (thrillers mostly), snorkeling, and all animals. I'm just beginning to learn about pins. Any pin fans going to the lunch?

Those of you are going to Club 33 will have a great time! I was there about 8 years ago.

Anyway, if any first-timers have any DL questions, or last-minute weather questions, etc. feel free to PM me.:wizard:

Yes I'll be at the AV Mall. I think there's still a Claire's there. I'll post tomorrow night what/where I find it.

steph

Awesome! Thanks!

Exactly my issue. I have a great backpack that i use when we do family trips, but normally my dh and I take turns with it so neither of us are completely sore by the end. I brought it to last year's ladies' only trip and my shoulders were screamin by the end. I love that it has the cell phone holder on the shoulder strap and holds a water bottle outside. That's why I thought I would like a Bagalinni.

I have a bag I got in Maui, but it has this wild blue Hawaiian print on it that is just going to clash with everything. I'm such a slave to fashion! :lmao:

I think I should be good with the fanny pack. It's on the larger side and should fit everything I need. Depending on the weather I'll probably get a locker for my sweater and maybe a change of shoes. I got my first pair of Crocs (the pink Disney ones) and I don't know how comfy they'll be.

Welcome! What is your first name?

Mine is Cheryl and I'm a cat owner too. I am also on the beginning end of "pin-dom" --have you checked out pinpics.com? I've listed all of my pins on there (username: toocherie) including those available for trade!

I live in Orange and am an AP-er too so go quite often (as often as I can) to DLR too.

See ya at Ariel's

Hi Cheryl, and motox, it's Donna. Thanks for the welcome! I feel a bit like the person who says they speak some French and then people starting speaking in French and my mind goes to mush! :) I am really just at the very very start - almost a pin virgin. I signed up to go to O'Pin house because I couldn't get into 09/09/09.

I think I own one pin and I'm not sure where it is. Can't even understand much of the itinery listed for the O'Pin house. :confused3 I will look at pinpics.

Capri, prayers being said for your daddy!

Welcome Donna! I'm not going to be at Ariel's on Thursday, but hopefully I'll meet you at some other time that day. I'll be with my family in the parks for the majority of Thursday.

My kids do a little bit of pin trading, just for fun. I'm sure my oldest dd will bring her traders with her on this trip. My ds just likes to get new pins, doesn't like to give any up yet. ;)

Hi Donna :wave2: I love collecting pins. I don't trade them at the park really anymore because I always buy pins that I love and don't want to trade...... My DS likes to trade though. See you at Ariel's. Here's hoping the weather is nicer there than it is here right now!

Does anyone know if there is a post office near DL? I am taking part in a candy exchange and need to post something - hopefully before returning home.......

I was just doing a quick catch up before my next meeting. Normally I work late on Wednesdays, but Ty got bit hard enough to break the skin at school today so we are making an emergency doctor's trip to get it looked at. So, I am not going to the three evening meetings I normally have on Wednesday nights... But, I am right there with you: GO CARLA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Later friends... I will post more after the doctor's visit!

Sorry about your trip to the ER.

I'm a Carla fan too. I loved her green eggs and ham.

I'm regretting not ordering a bagalinni. I have no idea which bag I will be using.

Use your new tote.

I'm in the group that still needs a tiara. I hope to find one tomorrow.

My daughter Selena is going to get her braces tomorrow and then we're taking her for ice cream for lunch. :goodvibes I've never had braces so I'm not sure what to expect, but I know she's not going to want to chew at first. Dh has had them and thought she'd enjoy ice cream.

So after the special lunch we're hitting the mall and going to check our Claire's. Any ideas where else I can get a tiara?

Steph

I've seen many at Claire's, Icing, and Party City.

DD didn't have problems with her braces. She started out with some softer food, but only as a precaution. They were sore, but not too bad she said. Then again, she has a really high pain tolerance.

I'm a last minute kind of person. :rotfl: I'll be packing on Thursday night or Friday morning before work.
I probably won't pack until Tuesday or Wednesday.

Hi Donna! I added you to the front page list for Ariel's lunch. Unfortunately I won't be at that lunch so I won't get to meet you. Darn. Do you have plans to join us for anything else over the 5 days? There is one spot left for the character breakfast on Saturday. You'd get to meet more of the ladies then too. :)
In any case, glad you can make it at least for part of the time. :thumbsup2

Ohmygosh Capri... *bigTightHug*... i'll keep Your Daddy in my prayers and do some deep breathing tonight in my meditation for Him. And You... take good care of yourself.

my grandson just fell in the pool..and the pool is super cold because we live high up..so he was beet red. He was riding his tricycle and turned straight into the deep end of the pool. My poor husband had to dive in and get him out. It would be no big deal but the water was super cold.

hhhmmmmm... everyone is warm and dry now.

I was out and about today and getting stuff for the trip, especially the pizza party. I have no idea how I am gonna get everything into my car. I have my floor covered in stuff that I need to take. All in bags. UGH! I haven't even pulled my suitcases out yet.

Poor little thing. I bet that shocked him. And your hubby. Going all superhero and jumping in after him. Awwwww.

Oh thank goodness your husband was out there with him!
