I have a 17 year old cat that drinks a lot of water and sleeps most of the day, but I am in denial...........

I won't call you a copy cat...I promise! It's a nice lightweight jacket. Alot of times, I just need something to take the chill off. If you are looking anything with lining this isn't the jacket for you. I love it though!

Oh, and thanks for all the good ideas for Zoe's bday. Today I went to Claires and got her a sash, a tiarra, a boa, nail polish and colored "hair", all in her favorite colors of blue and turquoise. She's been wanting to "paint" her hair blue, or "maybe just part of it", and I told her no way, but that maybe we could get the colored "hair" that you can add in. She'll be thrilled. I'm thinking we might join the group at Mimi's, depending on how early she wants to get up.

Heather, I can't agree with Dawn more, you CAN'T take it personally. What worked for me is to look at whatever issue you're faced with as a "problem" and focus on the solution. So, if the "problem" is "he can't say those letters", then work with the ST to figure out how to say them. Ask lots of questions. Even "Why". Knowing why one way works and one way doesn't can make it easier to accept. I learned a ton from the therapists, including what didn't work. That saved me a ton of time. I also learned something as simple as certain inflection in my voice or asking something like a question when it wasn't really meant as a question could make a huge difference to my son, so I had to retrain myself to do it differently. I had to learn, also, that I needed to change what I do in order for him to be able to change. (For us, it was making the abstract more concrete, like instead of "you're too close" we had to switch to "at least four steps back". Concepts like more, less, "too much", "too little" were too difficult.)

Morning all! Hope everyone had a good evening last night. I sure enjoyed the survivor. What an interesting first night! Didn't watch CSI or Eleventh Hour but I tivoed them so I will be watching those later today and it is a perfect day too as it is pouring rain. I have my post-op apt with my uro today so I am very interested to see what he has to say and hopefully will get some fixes for my problem FINALLY.

I also was able to get an apt for March 2nd with my new doctor!! I only have a few weeks left with the old yucky one and I am FREE of him. YAY!! I just hope this new one is good. I don't know anything about her but just picked her off the website. I tried to ask around about good docs but don't know many people that have my ins so I just went with one of the site so wish me luck cuz I don't want to have to switch again!!

Anywho shane is going with me to my apt and then we will prob grab a bite of lunch and then it is back home to watch our shows.

Today is the girls v-day parties at school although Katy's teacher doesn't believe in them plus she has a jehovah witness boy in her class so I feel bad for her. She has had this boy the last three years in a row and they usually don't get to do much because of him. Don't get me started on that cuz I feel it is not fair to the other kids that the entire class can't participate because of one child's beliefs. Shelby has really lucked out though and had great teachers who have always done it up. It makes it hard too for Katy because little sis always gets GREAT parties. It also doesn't help that our stupid state has a bunch of rules about food in classrooms and on and on.

But they are excited none the less because they at least can still exchange the cards. (wonder how long till they outlaw that!) Anyway then after today they are off for the week! So hopefully we will do a few fun things next week. We are leaning more towards going to the museum in SF on Monday so we shall see and then of course Shane and I's anniversary is tomorrow so that should be fun! So I am excited at the prospect of the next few days. He always usually surprises me with something fun. Last year he got me a diamond eternity necklace I think it is called with the three stones. Nothing huge mind you but it was the thought and I loved it just the same. We are tight on money right now and I hate for him to put any more on our cards but knowing him I know he will do something anyway so I will admit I am a bit excited to see what surprise he has in store for me eventhough I hate for him to do it but I know he will no matter how much I protest so it is still fun to see what he is going to do. One year he had roses laid out one on the pillow and then a card telling me to follow them down all the way downstairs and then a little note telling me to push play and it was an enrique iglesis CD of that song Hero. It was VERY romantic. That was my favorite!

10 years tomorrow. Hard to believe! I wish we were able to do something special but I am just glad that we made it! And there is always next year

I am excited for the cruise too--but it completely bolloxed (is that the right word?) up all my plans. Remember I was going to do a solo trip to WDW and stay at Boardwalk? Well then when I was going to buy all those points, we re-scheduled to use the developer points and stay at SSR and I was going to take my mom after all. Then the cruise thing came up (because I had asked originally and was told no) and in the meantime I had already let my Boardwalk reservation go! so now I'm staying at SSR on a solo trip again--but couldn't get the first night~! So I'm staying the first night on cash at POFQ and then moving the next morning (which is probably better because then I can get my choice of where I want to be in the resort (hopefullY). And I'm waitlisted for the Boardwalk. If they had just announced the cruise thing three days earlier I wouldn't have this mess.

Are you going on a cruise or somethin?

Melody--while you were making sandwiches I put out a call for ladies wanting to do the MouseAdventure game on April 26th. We got so much response that we are registering two teams! I am sitting by the computer right now counting down the minutes until 8:00 a.m. to register.

Linda is registering the other team.

Then the other "big news" is that I bought my Grand Calif. DVC points last night. For the number of points I bought, I get a "free" 7 day DCL cruise! They will send a voucher and then I can book it. So that's what we were talking about. I'm hoping to go in the Fall/early Dec.
