Sure! So we have Stacie, Cristabel, Katie, Jane and myself as the Meet and Greet planners for this year. :thumbsup2 I think that will probably do it as too many just makes it more confusing.

And I think we decided we are going to accept lots of ideas for the party themes, and kind of see which ones people seem to like, and then we (the committee) will make the decision and do the planning in secret so it will be a surprise.
(We'll have to announce it just beforehand so everyone will know how to dress and what we'll be exchanging. But that's the plan for now.)

Wow, that's awesome! Thanks for posting the link. I'll have to check it out when the kids go to bed and it's quieter in here.

Well, I have a stocking and Ruben will usually put something in it, but we really don't exchange Christmas gifts. With four kids, most of our money goes to them.

Welcome back Kelly!! Glad you had fun. Sorry about the Lynn drama while you were on vacation though.

Another theme might be... to come dressed as your favorite Disney character..
meaning if you love tink.. wear a tink t shirt and you could wear wings
or mickey t shirt and mickey ears..:confused3

And then we could do a plush stuffed animal exchange in a gift bag..

Sometimes when i go to the park i see allll these cute stuffed animals that i'd love to get but i always end up getting for my 3 grandchildren or my nephew.. and so it might be fun to get a special disney stuffed animal!:goodvibes

That's just an idea.

Although the christmas stocking idea is really cute. Rats.. i saw some really pretty needlepoint disney stockings after christmas that i should have picked up!:rotfl:

Wow just think with the after christmas sales..we can get ALOT of stuff for our $20 buckaroonies!

If we do that.. that is.. depends on the vote.. we are a MickeyOcRaCy after all.:cheer2:

I'm so sleepy. Fighting a sore throat. Again.

Night ladies!

Sorry you're not feeling well, Beth. :sick:Take it easy this weekend. I was out all day and didn't come home until well after dinner. It's so odd when all the conversation took place without you and remains on the board like cigarette smoke in an empty room.

:confused3 Did you'll start planning this early last year?:lmao:

Anyway...I love Dawn's idea because the Disney theme seems so appropriate. :stitch::tinker::maleficenAnd this is easy - it can be simple or really costumey. And who doesn't love those cute stuffed animals? Lots of time to find them on sale. <s> :dumbo:

Mixed feelings on the Christmas idea... I love Christmas but that's one holiday that might be a little odd when it's not really Christmas... also, not everyone celebrates it. We could take the gift part of that, the stocking exchange and apply it to any theme.

Another idea to toss out - Beth's favorite holiday is Halloween. What about a party inspired by a Halloween theme? :hmghost:Costumes, whatever you want - Disney characters,:tink: anything, :dog::ewok:pirate::bride::wizard: or minimal "costumes" created out of whatever you have in your closet. :cool2: As simple or as complicated as you want (cruises do this a lot). Face painting. Trick or Treating. Spooky green punch brew with dry ice smokin'.

I think doing one good party is the best. There is so much to do in the two parks with the fireworks, Fantasmic, the parades, the new and old fav restaurants, desserts and the night rides as well as all the restaurants and bars at DTD!

Anyway hi all and Kate, this baby pic is the cutest.

Put me down for organizing the Segway tour this time. I've got ideas. ;)

So I'm assuming after what happened this year we won't be doing the VIP tour again? ;)
I would love to do the tour next year if I was assured that we were actually getting a special tour and not just an escort who gets us on a few rides. I would love to see the Lilly Belle. Club 33, Maliboomer, Lilly Belle, Halloween special stuff, eating in HM, and wheelhouse are about the only things besides tours that I have not done. Of those only Lilly Belle, Club 33, and wheelhouse are of importance.

So many ideas for the party, I like luau, Christmas/Holiday, and western.

Kelley, sorry, forgot to hug you and hope that you have it easier soon.

Good Morning!

It's raining!!!! :dancer:

My little one woke up 3 times last night. Another tooth must be on it's way. I'm sooo tired.

I'm also excited because it looks like Nathan and I are going to get to do a research project that will give us one week of intense one on one therapy in Phoenix followed up by 3 months observation. I have been praying for a way to afford bahavior therapy, and it's here! For those in the know, it's a form of ABA called PRT. They say the program is about 4 grand at UCSD. What a blessing, and I'm excited! Hopefully, I'll get to have some meet ups and eat (what else?!?!) with my friends in Phoenix-Stacie and Callie. It will be May 18th-22nd. :woohoo::yay::woohoo:

Kelly, I hope you are hanging in there with all of the drama.

Sign me up for the October Photopass. Also, I think I would enjoy the walk in Walt's footsteps tour in Feb in anyone plans it.

Talk with you all later!

Heather

Add me in for the photopass in May!!!

I like the ideas being bounced around for the themed parties. And, being local, see no problem with bringing a costume for it. And, as an adult I've tried to coordinate a number of masquerade parties with no luck and would love to get to attend one. However, I know alot of people fly or take the train and had an issue this year with checking bags. A costume could take up alot of space. Just putting it out there.

Katie, love the picture of the peanut!! When do I get to meet her?
Stacielee, your son is so handsome. I wish I had gotten a chance to meet him.

I want in on the October photopass.

Oh, and congrats Heather!! I know how expensive those therapies can be. Whoo hoo.

Ok I am up and I thought I would add a few pics from my trip.

This is day one at DCA. The flowers were so pretty that I just had to get a pic of the girls.

100_2990.jpg

Then of course we had to get the obligatory pic in front of the balloons. ;)

100_3007.jpg

And I am actually glad we did this. We went back to toontown and actually waited and I thought it would be sorcerer Mickey but it was Steamboat Willie which I don't think I have ever gotten a picture with and I thought this turned out pretty good!

100_3016.jpg

And of course Michelle and Zoe with the girls and I. ;)

100_3038.jpg

Shelby's birthday cake!

100_3049.jpg

And our other friends that came on Thursday.

100_3055.jpg

And last but not least....

Good Morning Ladies!!

Kelly your pics are great. I need to catch up on your life.

Hi Heather! It's nice to see you again!

Well this page was as far as I got to read.

I have to run again! Last minute Easter stuff, take my visiting Sister and niece on a tour of my friends house which is almost done being built. The most beautiful house I have ever seen in my whole life. It's taken almost 2 1/2 years to build, there is so much detail and imported stuff. I'm telling you, it is unbelievable. I am her poor friend!!

Grandsons are coming over, with some great nieces to dye eggs.

I'm typing fast here. Sorry if I am rambling.

Have a nice day!! :flower3:

Thanks guys. Honestly if it wasn't for the drama back home it really was a GREAT trip. We had sooo much fun with Michelle and Zoe and the girls just LOVED Zoe and of course Shane really enjoyed meeting Michelle and of course I already enjoyed her obviously!! ;) She was even going to try and come back Thursday and we were bummed that she couldn't but we had a blast the day we spent with them! And then we had a great time on Thursday as well with our other friends.

It truly was a great trip. It was only stressful because there was MANY phone calls trying to figure out what to do with Lynn but once she finally decided to do this hokey marriage thing (which I still think is stupid but whatever) at least it took SOME weight off. She is at least STAYING at his mom's for now and not running and we were able to at least TRY to enjoy our last few days. We are home now and the girls have their practice for their easter performance at Church tomorrow so I can't wait to see them. They are really excited and unfortunately they probably aren't going to have time to see the easter bunny this year because I have a TON of laundry in the machine and lots more to do plus we are dying eggs today for tomorrow and just LOTS to get done before tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a GREAT day today and if I don't get on tomorrow have a HAPPY EASTER!!!!

evening all. I am absolutely toast but just wanted to say we are home and that Michelle is right. We were having a GREAT time and Michelle had just BARELY shown up and we were sitting at the French Market eating our lunch when Shane got a phone call from the Sheriff that they had picked Lynn up. She had not broken any laws but she was dressed like a "pro" if you get my drift and had 200 cash in her pockets. Now remember when she ran away 2 weeks ago all she had was the clothes on her back and NO money. She has NO job and she had other clothes with her apparently.

I guess the people that had "taken" her in wanted to try and "adopt" her and were going to try and get a hold of us or some such thing so she had left them too and was just wandering around or something I don't know the whole story but regardless she got picked up. The cop wanted us to come right then and pick her up wich of course we could NOT do and my parents couldn't even get her because they were up in Truckee moving their unit. SOOOOO we were on the phone all day and I felt REALLY bad for Michelle because we were having to deal with this mess all day. We finally were able to convince the cops to put her in juvey for 1 night because she resisted arrest and gave a false name etc and so she did that but then Shane's cousin had to go pick her up and he took her to Shane's mom. I couldn't believe she agreed because she usually does NOTHING for our family. At first Lynn told Shane's cousin that the minute he stopped the car she was going to run and she started calling him all these names but Brian said he was so livid it was all he could do not to pop her one. But he didn't of course.

But then Shane got on the phone with her and told her she can just keep running but until she is 18 and no longer our responsibility this is just going to KEEP happening. So he told her she can just suck it up until she is 18 and deal or try to figure out a better way. So she get some MORON that she knows on the net who is going to come out from Arkansas or Kansas and marry her! It is TOTALLY ridiculous but at this point I can't worry about it anymore. She is just going to KEEP running so let her make her mistakes. ONE of these days she is going to figure it out!

Anyway we are back. We had fun but are TOTALLY exhausted. I will share some pics later!
Welcome home, Kelly! It sounds like you had a nice trip, despite the drama. Your girls look like they are having son much fun!!!! I know it must have been a big bummer to have to deal with all that on vacation, but it must have been a relief to finally know where she was and that she was "safe".

As for themes, I love the idea of a pirate princess shirt/lanyard for next year, but I also really, really wanted to wear my jammies to the party this last time. So now that I know you all, no matter what the theme of the party is, you should probably expect to see me in my jammies! They are just so snuggly after a day in the park.
Have a great day everybody! I'm off to make lasagna for my CPA's office......

Hey Tina and Mel! Speaking of CPA's, this is the first year in 4 that we are actually getting money back!!! I'm so darned excited, I don't know what to do with myself.

I love the idea of having Pirate Princess be our theme for the trip...at least for the lanyards and t-shirts. :thumbsup2 If we decided to have a pirate princess party, we could all exchange 'treasure'. Argh! pirate:

I'm all up for having some pirate punch also....I should've signed up for the party commitee....

Put me down for organizing the Segway tour this time. I've got ideas. ;)
OKay. Donna is in charge of the Segway tour. :thumbsup2

So I'm assuming after what happened this year we won't be doing the VIP tour again? ;)
:scared1: ;)
I don't plan to. I don't think any of the 43 ladies plan to. So unless it's all newbies interested in it, then I'd say no.

Also, I think I would enjoy the walk in Walt's footsteps tour in Feb in anyone plans it.
That tour went over really well, so I think that will definitely be offered. :thumbsup2
Glad to hear about the therapy program! Sorry it was a rough night last night though. Take a nap today. ;)

Ok I am up and I thought I would add a few pics from my trip.
Thanks for sharing those!!! I love it. They all came out so cute and it looks like everyone was having a great time.

Have a nice day!! :flower3:
You too! :goodvibes

Good morning all. Well I'm not feeling to well right now and the baby is also sick
5.gif
. She has sooo many boogies and she hates getting them sucked. She's still in a good mood though so I don't think she has any discomfort?? But for her 1st Easter pictures, she'll have a snotty nose.

Speaking of sick~ Beth do you feel any better today??

Katie, love the picture of the peanut!! When do I get to meet her?

Maybe we can meet sometime in May (that's when I plan on renewing my AP's). Or we can meet before. Since I'm not working I really don't have much of a life right now.

Oh, and if you really want to be on the Meet and Greet commitee, I'll step down. I really want to help with something, but you have more experience and will probably be more available than me. So if you really want to do it, let me know.

Morning girls.
It has been a busy morning.
My BFF & I took our kids to get their pictures taken at Kids day.
It was a lot of fun. Now Kaeleb has baseball practice & Jordan is going to the skate park. So Rachel & I & Bella are going to lunch & coffee & maybe pedi's, but for sure I need my eyebrows waxed. Then tonight we are dying eggs.

Kelly~ I love the pictures.
Hi Heather.

Photopass for October, so far, I think is...
Debbie
Stacie(rita)
Theresa
Heather
Linda
Michelle

I dont' think anyone likes that. Just saying.

A little bit, thanks for asking. Sorry you aren't feeling well, and the baby too. I always hated when the kids were sick when they were babies because it's such a guessing game. They can't tell you exactly what hurts. I hope you are both better soon!

By the way, love the new footsies tag!!! :lmao: The tag fairy is really on the ball lately. Gotta watch what you say around here. ;)

Well, I'm off to jump in the shower. Hard boil some eggs for dying tonight. And then we are going out to lunch. Catch y'all later! :goodvibes

Katie~ that baby is so darn cute!!
Kel~ welcome back, sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Sorry about the trouble with Lynn. Kids. I guess she just can't turn 18 soon enough.
Steph~ Hi!!

So who is in for an October photopass????

Me me!!! and Katie, she is adorable--sorry she's sick!

So I'm assuming after what happened this year we won't be doing the VIP tour again? ;)

That would my recommendation.

Of your list the only thing that would be available potentially on a VIP tour is the Lily Belle. You can only see the lobby of Club 33 on the WIWF tour. So I think we'd be better off planning another WIWF tour and seeing what we can do about arranging a ride on the Lily Belle, rather than incurring the cost of the VIP tour.

Ok I am up and I thought I would add a few pics from my trip.

Kelly: I am so glad you managed to have a great trip despite the issues with Lynn. How does she expect to get married since she is under 18?

As for me, I'm at the office for a few hours and then am meeting friends for an early supper and we're attending a seminar on the "Law of Attraction" at a local hotel. Tomorrow my Mom and I are meeting up with the rest of the family in Dana Point for Easter. So that's my weekend.

We finally finished reading Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows last night.

So I give the world permission to talk about the book now.

:upsidedow

(I've been shushing people and averting my eyes since a day after the book came out; figured I'd let the universe know)
