Hi all! Haven't been able to get on all day cuz of the site being down but anyway STILL no Lynn. We have talked to her friend and found out that she has a myspace page. Those of you who know my real name it is the same as hers so go ahead and look her up. She is on page 10. DISGUSTING is all I can say! It makes me want to vomitt! Some of the things she is saying about her self I feel like saying yeah right like gangsta etc (yeah just try it) believe me you DON'T want to be that!

She can "joke" all she wants but she doesn't want to WISH that life on herself! Her friend forwarded some of her e-mails between them to us and it is just ridiculous what has gone on. That 22 year old guy hit her in the head with a bottle then just dumped her downtown after she was drunk. But she doesn't care. She is using REALLY bad judgment. She is going to end up having to result to crime because she literally has nothing. ONE set of clothes no ID nothing.

The cops have never called us back once and I told Shane today he needs to call them back and tell them that she is still not home and what's going on and he said he is not chasing her that the cops don't care which is basically what they told us the last time but still I want to make sure that WE are not responsibile for anything she might do if she robs a bank or steals a car or anything else since she sent yet ANOTHER email saying she is NOT coming home.

I just don't know WHO is supporting her feeding her etc. It is nuts. Like I said eventually she is going to HAVE to result to prostitution or selling drugs cuz no one is just going to keep feeding her for nothing and she has literally ONE outfit and that's it.

She can't work with no ID no birth certificate. She can't even go to school anywhere else without her transcprits etc.

Maybe she got a shelter or a mission to take her in I don't know. I am going to try and get some fliers put up around town tomorrow. It is just nuts. But we DID talk to our insurance and if we can get her back we can get her put in a youth home and get her drug and alcohol rehab so that is where we stand.

I am still just besides myself though cuz shane says he is just done cuz he can't worry about it anymore but I can't help wondering. It is driving me nuts!

Hey everyone -- stopping in to say hello to all of you. Spent yesterday at my cousin's house visiting. I only meant to be there for brunch, but ended up spending the whole day there. We also went to Daphne's Greek Cafe for lunch - oh, my gosh - the food was sooo good. I came home & looked it up on the internet for some places near me, and found one in Torrance and one in Redondo Beach, so I'm happy.

I spent most of today at church selling raffle tickets for our upcoming fiesta (last weekend in May). It was so cold that when I came home it took a long time for my body to warm up.

Now I'm here trying to catch up on a somewhat slow DIS (but glad it's up again), while my daughter has a few of her friends (like 12) over for a little birthday celebration for one of her friends. Some are here in the front room chatting, one is kind of next to me watching Cleopatra where she has to critique the Hollywood clothing style (she's taking fashion classes), some are in our living room playing Rock Band (I think that's what the game is called), another one is doing his homework on his laptop, another one was sleeping earlier, but is now awake. Yup ... interesting group - lol. Oh - and it doesn't bother them that I'm here on the computer, lol.

Kelly, I'm so sorry that you're going through all those problems. OMgosh, woman. Just know that there's a bunch of us here thinking about you.

Capri, hope Ryan is feeling better. Poor little guy.

Cristabel - congratulations on getting accepted - that is wonderful news.

Stephanie - I don't think I ever said thank you for serving our country. I have admiration for what you do.

Beth - glad you had fun with Stacie - too bad we're not going to hear the stories

Went to the new Crocs outlet in Orange--great deals--got a pair of lime green Cayman's for $4.99!!!!! And some MaryJane's for $9.99 and $14.99! Then went to ULTA for some makeup I needed and then the grocery store (it's a Stouffer's night because I'm going to be packing).

Where is that! I've become a Crocs fiend. I'd love to go.

And, an update re: me. Well, the foot is feeling quite a bit better. Had a hideous looking little boot on all week, tomorrow I start going without again. BUT you'll never guess what happened to me. I laugh now, (though not too hard, it would hurt too much), but I have sprained my back from the uneven walking with my foot brace! I was in so much pain earlier today. I'm now back on that nasty medicine with dire instructions to make sure I eat ALOT when taking it, and am flat on my back for 48 hours.

Oh man! You just can't catch a break can you? But yeah, the consequence of walking funny like that is that it can mess up your back (BTDT). If you have heating pad (or better yet--one of those things you heat up in the microwave) it would help.

The Crocs outlet is in the Block of Orange--at the 5 FWy and The City Drive. It's near Saks Fifth Avenue place and next door to Starbucks.

I'm jealous...I want a Keurig! Is it as great as people say it is?

I like it when I feel like a cup at odd times--otherwise I prefer to make 4-10 cups in the brewer --the K-cups can get a little pricey!

My husband thinks it is and I gotta say, I now agree. We used to leave for work at the same time, so it made it easy enough to make a pot. But now he works from home a lot when I go in or vice versa. It's nice that your coffee is not only hot but fresh cup when I'm ready to head out.

The K-cups can get pricy, but if you drink coffee everyday like we do, it's a lot less than a latte stand. Also, you can get a discount if you buy 4 or more boxes at a time.

On a happier note, I watched the Lakers kick the Bulls rump yesterday. I thought they were going to lose but then they came through in the end.

Well we had an impromptu tiny party for hubby's b'day today. We have a little mini trip to Portland planned over what-ended-up-being-Easter weekend, but for today (his actual b'day) I knew I wanted to clean up quite a bit but if I'd done that while E and R played, he would have felt bummed that I was "working" while he was doing kid-care...so I decided that we should invite R's oldest friend over. So that was cool, and the impromptu party was at least the same, if not better, than the parties hubby usually throws for himself (then has me plan).

I've never had Greek food before. I'm so jealous that you are so close to the beach. I love Redondo. When we lived in CA we'd go there all the time and eat Sunday brunch at that El Torito on the pier.

It has been a quiet weekend. I did book trips for later in the year. I ALWAYS have to have a trip in the works. We are going May 30-June 2nd and again Sept. 26-30th. And of course I will be there for the next Girls ONly trip!
Gotta go and focus on Amazing Race - love that show!

So that was cool, and the impromptu party was at least the same, if not better, than the parties hubby usually throws for himself (then has me plan).

Sometimes impromptu parties are the best.

It's a coffee machine where you can make a cup of coffe using this little cup/pod with coffee already in it. It only takes about 1 minute to spit out your cup of coffee. If you want to see it, you can search for it on Amazon.

I bought Twilight and we're going to watch it tonight too. My box to ship is packed, but now I've decided to use a different box! but that should go pretty easy. Well, the microwave just dinged--talk to you all later!

Then I will be all set to start on the girls trip. Hope all are having a good day. It's sunny, warm and a little windy, typical spring weather.

It was very good and very easy--but a little salty. Next time I am going to use low sodium Cream of Mushroom and low sodium beef broth. and not salt the meat. It made a really thick gravy that was yum! be sure and tightly seal the foil so it doesn't boil off completely. and Albertsons has London Broil on sale right now--this would also be good with a 7-bone roast.
