AmySue: you are right about April. Unlike our scavenger hunt, the MouseAdventure people have strict rules about interacting with non-players--or even players that aren't on your team. A team could get disqualified if it hangs around with more than the 4 on their team. so, other than the sun. morning breakfast right before the game, there are no general plans at present.

Cheryl,

Somehow that frightens me. So, maybe we can't wear our tinkerbell shirts, then we would look like the 8 of us are plotting together?

And,aren't you supposed to be stressing about your trip? If you take me along, I can drive up and do your laundry tomorrow, I have the day off!! I even iron!!!:rotfl:

Oh, and my favorite restaurant is Spoodles....I LOVE the appetizers...have some hummus and other dips and the appetizer salad, and I am HAPPY!!

Well i'm staying friday night with Miss CheryL and sunday night so i can drink wine with her then.

Saturday it is waTeR WaTeR KaBaLLaH and HoLy WaTaH BaBeY. i will need all the help i can get.. and i'll follow the rules to a T. my monkeY mouth will be ziPPed.. i won't be talkIn' to anybody but my teaM.:scared1:

aahhh... how cute... sweet dreams Melody:hug:

Like last year, when I didn't seem to be able to communicate very well, I think we should do a poll that asks when people CAN'T do it and then pick the dates that are the least amount of can'ts. So many of us have a preference, but it really won't matter, so we just pick a date that works the best. But there are alot of people that really can't do certain dates and I want to find out the dates that negatively affect the least amount of people and focus on those dates. For example, I'd have to wait until after we get back our tax refund to even consider a trip, so anything before the end of February wouldn't work for me. Some people can't do it in Feb., some in Jan, etc. So, I'd like us to focus on the dates that will eliminate the fewest people and go with that.

Whatcha think? Since I cannot go the wekend planned, and could go the other 3 possiblities...i LOVE this idea!!! A lot don't want January because of the weather, but might be willing to change the Feb, to lets say, March..the more that can come, the better. Particularly if the more includes ME!!!

And thanks for the thoughts about my foot. I'm eating ibuprophen like candy and it's feeling a bit better. I do have a little boot on my foot, and it's so hard I soooo don't want to wear it! Ow. I broke a foot bone a year ago and was lucky, slowed me down for about 3 days, then barely hurt.

Oh, and just in case anyone wants an excuse to go to Vegas, my DH and I are going 3/31-4/4, trying to plan something with my Dis friends in Vegas (and surrounding area?), but would love it if others want to meet up with us. We leave at 7:30 on Sat night, staying at Circus Circus.

No thanks on the Vegas thing...not for me. I was only there once to get married with ELvis, so how can I top that???

Man, that last statement might be a challenge to some of you. oops.

Amysue

Add me to the list of nervous nellies for the MA. I love DL as much as the next gal, but I am afraid I will look like a doof! I mean, Sarah, Trudi, Bree and I thought we did well in the SH and we didn't even place! Well, I do know I have really fun people on my team so at least we'll have a great time.:thumbsup2

I look forward to receiving info from Cheryl.

On another note, I have to pick my dates for Dec. Dawn, NR is a date - we just have to pick the date and time. I sure hope all the other "Lou" girls come. You know, Wendy, Debra....who am I forgetting?

I can think of ways. Trust me.;)

i'm the sleepY monKey.. night night.

Night.

Speaking of which, actually I like the Feb-March dates, so I guess I would vote to keep it.

I'd say stick with what we have...mainly because the suspense is killing me and I want to start planning!!!!

I'm thinking the January date would be too cold though. JMO.

I'm happy with February. :) My AP will still be valid and more rides will be open than in January.

I say keep the late Feb dates. January is too cold and so much is closed for refurb.

I am good with stickin with the winning date. Mainly because the plant is down in January and things will be crazy.
Plus more time to save money after Christmas.

I would vote for doing another vote, since I can't come in February, and I love it colder.

I'm okay with either. :)

i was trying to fight for January but I can go either dates.

This is pretty much where things are with the dates.

Do another poll between top dates:
Stacie
Theresa (You mentioned doing this on the other thread right?)
AmySue

Stick with the dates in Feb/March:
Janelle
Dawn
Cheryl
Amy
Steph
Jen
Linda
Debra
Capri

Either dates:
Cristabel
Mary Jo
Beth

Based on what has been posted so far, it appears the majority prefer to keep the dates as is, and not do another poll. Several have mentioned January would be colder, with more rides possibly down for refurbishment, plus Dawn/(her mom?) and Janelle have said they couldn't make it in January so we already know of two or three who couldn't make it. And I think Kelly said she couldn't do January either due to her tax refund, so that would be four including her and her mom. (if I remember correctly)

Like last year, when I didn't seem to be able to communicate very well, I think we should do a poll that asks when people CAN'T do it and then pick the dates that are the least amount of can'ts.
With the amount of people we have, that would take forever. :rotfl: In the PMs I received I asked people to pick which dates they prefer, everyone had the opportunity to choose their top three dates that work for them, and the ones I posted were the ones that came up the most, with February being the most chosen month.
No matter how you slice it, with this large of a group, there will ALWAYS be a time when someone can't go. If you wait for the perfect dates, a 2010 trip will simply never happen. Sad to say.

ETA: I think we do have the dates that will negatively effect the least amount of people. It appears more cannot go in January then during the ones that won.

I think our team will do great! If not, we will have fun trying.

You did alright. I usually try to use the guilt of.......if you don't do well in school you are gonna end up living in a van down by the river.

See that's how you do it!
Don't make me turn this car around...

Oh, not pertinent.

Do your homework goofball!!!

AMY

I'm trying!

Whatcha think?

I like this idea!

So I went to my grandson's birthday party tonight. :goodvibes He turned 3 years old. :sad1:

Dave and I got him a few presents of course as all loving and wonderful grandparents would do.

So he opens up the one that is an "Indiana Jones" whip. Oh my goodness.............it was so cute. He ADORES Indy Jones. So this whip is really made for little boys, and is very soft and easy to whip, and it wouldn't hurt a fly. So he's carrying this thing around constantly whipping. He won't give it up. It makes fake whipping noises, and then plays the Indy Jones theme song. I think he will probably sleep with tonight like a stuffed animal. :cloud9: If you have little boys, this is a really cute toy.

I need to hit the sack. Good night ladies and Cristabel. See I didn't forget.

Cute!

I talked to Califgirl/Chris about MouseAdventure and it made me realize that I will be WAY WAY WAY out of my league. I think it will make the scavenger hunt seem like a coloring book!! (our team was confident and 7 of our answers were wrong!!)/

BUt, we will have a blast, I think. If nothing else, there will be a lot of laughing!!!! Stacie and I together tend to get a bit unruly!!

NO fair that Cheryl is sending stuff out after her trip, unless our team is getting it too. If that is so, golly Cheryl, you are the best, and a vision of radiant loveliness and darn smart too!!!

AmySue

And we tend to be contaigous. So look for a totally kick butt time.

I am sure it will be fun no matter what. :yay:

And I do believe Cheryl is sending out info to all eight of us. Maybe we can all have dinner when it's over? Someone said there isn't much time for eating and L&S will only hold us over so long. BTW, DH is joining us for b-fast. I told him he gets to meet all my friends. He said as long as Minnie is there, he's cool. Last time Minnie totally flirted with him and even sat on his lap. Cheap thrill, I guess!

Good night everyone. I'm off to sew, ironically MONKEY costumes!! I have till the 24th for the dress rehearsal..and I am nowhere close!!

I'm only slightly BITTER about the dates. (as I sob quietly at my computer!!)

AmySUe

AmySue, it's a whole year away. You don't seem like the type to give up easily and I am not giving up on you yet. You didn't think you could make this trip and there you were, hamming it up and having a blast! Keep the faith girl. Lots can happen between now and then. I think it will work out, and you'll be there keeping us in stitches once again. :wizard:

What what?! Did I hear something about a pre-Christmas trip meet up? I'll be 21 so I can join you for a drink at Napa Rose lounge! :dance3:

21 run for Cristabel!

No thanks on the Vegas thing...not for me. I was only there once to get married with ELvis, so how can I top that???

We wanted to be married with Elvis (by Elvis? by an impersonator?) at the Elvis Museum in Portland OR, but it was closed by the time we had our wedding date picked. Like totally closed and gone, or so it seemed at the time.

Anyway, you were married with/by/to (surely you are NOT old enough for that, missy! I thought we were around the same age-ish?) Elvis? Do tell. Especially if you were a child bride shortly before the end of Elvis...

No matter how you slice it, with this large of a group, there will ALWAYS be a time when someone can't go. If you wait for the perfect dates, a 2010 trip will simply never happen. Sad to say.

And this is why we pay you the big bucks...(check is in the mail  ). To make the decisions that must be made and say the things that must be said. And it's why I'm NOT the one in charge, b/c I'd go to type the exact same sentence and it would come out very very bad.

(I once had a convo with a work friend, after she sweetly chided our other work friend about not being ready (it went..."Carla, are you all ready?" and Carla said "Yes, except I have to do x, y, and z", and Jenn said "Well then you're not ALL ready, then, are you?" and Carla laughed and then got ready), and I mentioned that if I'd said the *exact SAME words* to Carla, she'd either cry or yell at me... Libras are supposed to communicate in a manner like an "iron fist in a velvet glove", but I think somehow I got it turned around.:rotfl: :rotfl2:  :flower3: )

Anyway, glad you're the one leading these things....:worship:

Tracy, Debra and I in the King bed next year = :crowded:

:rotfl2:
:rotfl2:

Anyone else have a preference? (I'm keeping my name off because being this far out, I'm sure I can plan to go either dates)

Well, I prefer to have a new vote, since I need to go before my AP expires, which is Feb. 14, but I also prefer it to be warmer and to have all the attractions open. Geesh, why can't I have it all! Anyhow, I will just do my best no matter how it all turns out.

And we just found out that our oldest will have to have braces again! Our insurance pays for half, but that still leaves the other half. Geesh, between hearing aids and braces, not to mention all the usual expenses, this is one expensive kid. Anyhow, just not expecting to renew my AP next year.

Sorry I haven't been around much this week. Work is kicking my butt and I am in meetings from the time I get in 'til the time I have to pick up Ty. Thanks to whoever brought the See's lollipops to the candy buffet as a butterscotch lollipop was my lunch today!

Congrats Tracey on getting us a full refund. You are awesome, and I really hope that you'll come on the full trip next year and not just one day 'cause we had so much fun, even if we did go, go, go!!!!

QUOTE]
It was me! I take full credit. Bought them from my son's school for a fundraiser and had to bring them, because I love them and would have eaten them all! Glad I could provide lunch though.

I know, we did have fun. And I admit it, you and Kerry are right. I'm a commando. Too much so for my own good!

Don't get your knickers all wadded up. ;) You will have at least 9 months or more to plan. Heck, someone could have a baby in that time. Jinx not it!

Stacy, you crack me up. I have to say, of everyone that I met, you are an exact match for your personality online and off.

Ok, I'm not caught up on the thread, but I'll go ahead and just jump in!

VIP Ladies: So glad Disney did the right thing and returned your money back. And Tracey, no worries about the HoJo room refund, if you get one (that was me Jenn you were asking, no?). BTW...you left your friend's teeny tiny DIS divas shirt in the room which I did take. Can I send that to you? You also left that evil poncho that got me soaked on Splash Mountain and I didn't dare to take that with me. :scared1:

QUOTE]
I just could not stand to have that tiny of a shirt in my house. You are way closer to having it fit than I am. Actually, it might make a good layering shirt for you. Hey, good trade! I get your HOJO money and you get an itsy bitsy extra Dis shirt:woohoo: I haven't gotten the refund yet. I sent Lorealle an email. Have not heard back. I called and had to leave a message. Followed up with an email. Have not heard back. Hmmm....

Oh, yeah! The haunted Poncho! Did I give you the poncho that resulted in the soaking?? I thought that was your own. Oh man!

Not sure about that yet. Will decide as it gets closer to the date. But I am leaning towards it so I can hang with everyone.

You did alright. I usually try to use the guilt of.......if you don't do well in school you are gonna end up living in a van down by the river.

Okay, here is what my Mom said to me, and I use it on my son, and it seems to work. With an evil glint in the eye, "Well, you better figure out a way to pass those classes and get your degree because you are not moving out of my house until you do. And if you think your life is hard now, you haven't seen anything!"

Did I mention that I graduated and moved out at age 17:)

This does make a lot of sense.

I did what I could Amy :sad2:

I'm a Scorpio. How are we supposed to communicate? Mean, nasty and bossy? :rotfl:

We wanted to be married with Elvis (by Elvis? by an impersonator?) at the Elvis Museum in Portland OR, but it was closed by the time we had our wedding date picked. Like totally closed and gone, or so it seemed at the time.

The Elvis at the Graceland Wedding Chapel was not licensed to do the ceremony so, he walked me down the aisle singing "it's now or never", then seranaded us before then after we did the whole vows thing. My DH is the YOUNGEST of 9 kids so we didn't want to do the wedding thing since it would turn into a total his family reunion. I, on the other hand, an the only kid. (my brother was killed by a drunk driver when I was 18, he was 22), so my mom has likely not totally forgiven me for the Elvis thing!!

But honestly, with my type A personality and maximal impatience....picking the minute details of a wedding/reception would have driven me batty!! Decisions about napkins for god's sake!!!
Because I am so obnoxious and sarcastic and , well, obnoxious, I get away with saying truly blunt/rude things to people, and they take it. I think they always think I am kidding. NOT!!!

Anyway, glad you're the one leading these things....:worship:

And Molly, I fear I am WAY older than you, but thanks for thinking we are of an age!!

I don't want to sew..guess I will hang out here for awhile!!!
