Dawn, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I'll be praying for that family and especially the little ones.

Hi Everyone..

I hope all is well.

Our friend who we spoke of before the trip, has died and we are all so very sad.
She leaves behind 5 children, the youngest is 6.
:guilty:

Your friend, her family, your mother and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Some more hotel news!

Anaheim Desert Inn & Suites doesn't have the rates available for January yet but I was just testing around September because, wouldn't you say that September and January are about the same kind of "busy" level?

Well they have a family SUITE! that sleeps up to 8 comfortably for only $119/ per night but again, this is for late September trip. I will be looking out for next year's rates so we can get a more likely price.

FAirykin/Dawn sorry to here that and sending a prayer and lots of hugs.:cloud9:

Shuttle is a good thing to check on for the hotels.

Dawn and Sally--so sorry about your family friend.

Hi everyone.

Just wanted to chime in on the accommodations discussion. I say we try to coordinate staying in the same place or two places.

So, I think I'm leaning towards onsite option and HoJo option.

I agree with Jen.

Cristabel!

These are really good rates! :goodvibes

At the Desert Inn and Suites, are there 2 baths per chance? 8 people and one bath could be quite interesting! :rotfl:

I'll answer my own question.

I just looked up the Desert Inn's ad in the AAA book, and they have 2 options for the rooms up to 8 people. One has 2 full baths, and the other has 1 1/2 baths.

The one with 2 full baths would be the pick!!! No duh...........

No, kidding!!

I wanted to let everyone know that I tried calling the Hojo today to follow up on the Ent rate issue from last weekend. After being on hold for about 5 minutes for in house reservations I was informed that Lorealle was not in, but that she can't do anything for us anyhow. We need to talk to Joanne, who is the front desk manager, and she is not in until 9:30 am tomorrow. So, I will try that tomorrow and let you know what I can accomplish!

I called today was told that Joanne would fix the problem tomorrow.
I wasn't on hold that long, but then I called at 9am.

Cristabel you did a GREAT job. I was at work all day but I can tell you those rates sound amazing!! I have stayed at the Desert Inn in that EXACT suite and it is REALLY nice. VERY big and has the 4 beds AND a nice big sofa bed. The two bathrooms really help and the sinks are outside of the shower area which is really nice and when we stayed last february we got a really nice gift basket.

They don't have a conference room though so that could be a problem. But they do have a minimal breakfast. And it is close to Dennys (like right next door) and RIGHT next to the cross walk. This is where mom and I stayed this trip and their rates can't be beat!!

I also think the BWPPI is a nice option.

I am off tomorrow so I will try and do some more checking around then.

Enjoy everyone!!

I'm thinking maybe we have an onsite and and offsite option. Chances are decent that we'd get a good AP rate at PPH or DLH. And for the offsite option, I think HoJo's is the best value.
I think this is probably a good idea. I don't like staying at new hotels, and no matter what, I am familiar with HoJo and over all, having stayed there several times, I can say I've had more good times then bad.

So I'll probably be there for next year, but only in a premium room. And if someone has the bucks to stay onsite, maybe they will take pity on me and let me go in on one of the MM with them. :rotfl2:

Since I won't be sharing with 5 people, that still seems high to me. But not too bad. I might consider it.

Now is that 8 sharing beds? Must be.

That hotel didn't get very good reviews though. Anyone from our group stayed there?

I was told my cc would be credited on Tuesday so that must be why, that's when Joanne is there.
