They don't have a conference room though so that could be a problem.

They don't?? Well, crud. That's too bad.

Thanks Cristabel and Kelly for looking things up. Cristabel, you are so funny. You weren't kidding when you said you really do always have to be planning something! :rotfl: I think you would make a wonderful travel agent. :goodvibes

I hope everyone is having a good day so far. I took Ruben to work so I could have the van to take Adam to his meeting with the Dean this morning. He didn't get suspended which is good news. I didn't think he would since he was only defending himself but the schools do have a no contact policy no matter what, so I wasn't 100% sure.

Oh, and the "other issues" were that the Dean has heard him using the F-word in school. Right. Like he's the only teen in the whole school who does. Whatever. Besides, I can't fault him for that. In HS I had a mouth like a sailor and still do. :rolleyes1 As long as he's a good kid other wise, I don't care if he swears. I just told him make sure no teachers are around when he does it. (Awful mom, I know.)

Later we have to go to his doctor. The pins will finally be coming out of his finger!! I just hope it all goes smoothly and the bone healed properly.

That hotel didn't get very good reviews though. Anyone from our group stayed there?

I've stayed at Desert Inn a few times and I would say it's on the same level as HoJo's. I've also stayed at BWPPI many a times and find that it's a step above Hojo's and Desert Inn, but not by much. Plus with the pull out sofa, you really can pack the people into those rooms. In February, we packed 3 adults and two kids into a room comfortably.

I hope everything goes great with Adam! :goodvibes

And you're not an awful mom, as long as he doesn't get caught, then it's OK in my books!

I knew I liked you....I could make a sailor blush somedays!! :rotfl2:

Awful mom no, realistic mom, yes....

So is it October yet?

Yes 8 would DEF be sharing beds and like you Beth I don't share LOL. Mom and I just stayed at the DI this past trip and it was FINE for us but again that was us. We payed 119 per night for a double queen room and we had a microwave and a NICE size fridge. Like a regular dorm sized fridge. It had a good size bath with a sink outside of the shower area. It was a large room that could have easily accomodated a rollaway. I have also stayed in their suites and they were VERY nice. This hotel got bad reviews in the past I think but it has gone through an overhaul in the recent future and I think it is quite nice. I am not into sharing beds either but for those who are I think it is a VERY decent room and if you don't mind sharing I think it could be a decent place!

Mom and I would DEF stay there again and share a single for sure. For those that feel the need to stay somewhere perhaps we could do that one and one other hotel. Who knows. I know for US personally the walk was a pain in the butt and it was worth it for mom esp to pay the little bit extra not to have to walk. We like to have our own room and it was well worth it to be closer not to have to walk. But that is us. If we could find something closer we would do it to avoid the walk but that doesn't mean we have to stay in the same hotel as everyone else. Far be it from us to mess up everyone else. If the majority decide to go with Hojo's again or whatever it is no biggie to us. We can always just come for the party and then walk back to our room ;)

I know my mom did say if we could get a good enough rate on a disney hotel she would be willing to stay on property but I doubt they would have THAT good of a deal but who knows. We shall see. ;)

Anyway like I said I will keep checking but whatever the majority decides is fine. Doesn't mean we all HAVE to be at the same place. We were just fine at our place and although it would have been fun to be at the same hotel sometimes at the end of the day I was sure glad not to have that walk ;)

And Beth that Dean is full of it. You know how many kids swear. Or should I say or there any that don't? Please!!! (note sarcasm). You don't even want to HEAR my language. I get yelled at ALL the time for my words. I have to be so careful cuz I was in the military and so was my dad and Shane and I just don't even REALIZE any more that I am doing it. So don't even sweat it.

And I 100% agree with you that the child should be able to defend himself but I had to tell Shane the same thing with Lynn. She had an issue and he was telling her to defend herself and I had to tell him NO. That doesn't go over! He doesn't get that that doesn't work anymore! (again insert sarcasm!) Sheesh! Hang in there!

OK, thanks. I think of the two for some reason I'd lean more towards BWPPI. Not sure why, other then it got a higher rating on tripadvisor.

I hope everything goes great with Adam! :goodvibes
Thank you. :)

Thank you. :) And I don't believe you could make a sailor blush. You seemed to sweet!!
Oh, and I wish it was October. I'd happily skip right over the summer here. We are going to reach 80 tomorrow and I am so not ready for that. Although today wasn't bad.

Both Wendy and Kelly have stayed there and really enjoyed it!
Thanks! It's always nice to have reviews from someone you know. That and some candid shots as opposed to the staged hotel website shots. That's why I like tripadvisor. You can see other people's candid photos of the rooms and such.

Good to know!

I wish Candy Cane Inn was cheaper. I've always wanted to stay there, even though it's still a bit of a walk as well. I'll probably be keeping my eye on the rates at HoJo, BWPPI, and Candy Cane Inn.
I already know the Disney hotels won't come down low enough for me. ;)

I'd likely lean towards BWPPI as well. Like how close it is to the front entrance. Though I suppose it wouldn't make any difference if I decide to drive (we always get parking add-on to our AP).

I am excited to start planning. I think a lot of you are like me: planning makes the time between disney visits bearable!

:grouphug: Thanks for all the sweet thoughts.. i sent them to my mother. it's very kind.

hhhmmm... so has a date been picked yet?

Did anyone join club 23?
What are the benefits that come with it?
And what type of expo do you think they will be having in sept?

I'd leans toward that one too. No real reason for that, but I always lean toward BWPPI for some reason. :confused3

:Did anyone join club 23?

I didn't, but I used 500 points on disneymovierewards.com for the limited edition D23 pin. They also have a D23 Silver necklace w/a Swarovski Crystal for 1000 points, but I don't really like the style of it, so I'm OK w/out it. :thumbsup2

Too bad I can't use those points for membership into the club!
