Here is a pic of him, my baby brother, after his rugby game on Saturday.

Hubba Hubba! Oh, if I were only 20 years younger . . . . .sigh.

So, I took my cat to the vet again today. I'm not sure if I'm just postponing the inevitable or really giving him a fighting chance. I actually took him to a different vet for a second opinion--because he has not eaten in the last two days. The new vet called the old vet to get his tests from last week and then will be keeping him on I.V.'s overnite. By the time I got to work the old vet had called to see what was going on. I thought it was extremely unprofessional, personally. I have enough stress right now without worrying about ticking off the old doctor. Then he proceeds to make it sound like he (the cat, not the doctor) may only have days. (That wasn't what he told me last week when I asked him straight out.) I was not happy with this call-but remained polite and upbeat.

Sorry about your cat Cheryl. Pets really are like members of the family. Heck, one of my dogs missed me more than my DD did.

Ooh la la!!

Wendy are you ready to take on a few kids?

How about you Debra?

It was very good and very easy--but a little salty. Next time I am going to use low sodium Cream of Mushroom and low sodium beef broth. and not salt the meat. It made a really thick gravy that was yum! be sure and tightly seal the foil so it doesn't boil off completely. and Albertsons has London Broil on sale right now--this would also be good with a 7-bone roast

put 1 can low sodium cream of mushroom soup, 1 can low sodium beef broth, 1 large can diced tomatoes (with juice) and five garlic cloves (peeled) in a roasting pan and plop in a London Broil or seven bone roast. sprinkle one packet of dry soup mix--either onion or I used onion mushroom-- on top of the roast and put some in the juice too. Seal TIGHTLY with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 3 hours or so until tender.
Sounds delish and so easy!

MeLodY!!!!!!!!!!
Always HaPpPy to see You!
What do you have going on this week? Working on things for Easter for church and your family? Do you have any special Easter recipes?
I guess my favorite would be "Delicious Cheesey Potatoes" that goes so good with ham. My new favorite pasta is the Barefoot Contessa's "Sundried Tomato Pasta."

:rotfl2:

I'll ask him.

My hope for him is that he finds a lady who loves Disney. That way we can hang out more. Him and I are super close, but he doesn't share my love for Disney. He goes, but not as often as I do. And he doesn't have an AP. Can you believe that??
I would venture to say that most of our siblings and family members are not into Disney as we are.:rolleyes1 But that is not to say, that your Brother could be converted by the right lady!!! :cool1:

AW Cheryl, I am so sorry to hear about your cat. Is this the one who looks and acts like "Morris the Cat?"

We really clowned on him for wearing such short shorts.
:rotfl:

Cheryl, tell the kitty that leaving is simply unacceptable. I want him to use me for petting. I am his faithful servant. :worship:

My son is talking so much today. I'm beginning to think that when we go back to the doctor on March 31st, they are going to find him to be completely different then when we went on 2/25. I'm thinking he might be more PDD-NOS now instead of having classic autism. I relaly feel like the things I'm doing are working! Capri, I started the book you gave me today. I'll let you know what I think!

Wow, this is such great news!:yay:

The book is pretty good. Even if Nathan doesn't have an auditory processing disorder, the book still has some good advice to encourage communication and talking for toddlers and children. :thumbsup2

Hi all! Haven't been able to get on all day cuz of the site being down but anyway STILL no Lynn.

That 22 year old guy hit her in the head with a bottle then just dumped her downtown after she was drunk.

The cops have never called us back once and I told Shane today he needs to call them back and tell them that she is still not home and what's going on and he said he is not chasing her that the cops don't care which is basically what they told us the last time

But we DID talk to our insurance and if we can get her back we can get her put in a youth home and get her drug and alcohol rehab so that is where we stand.

Wow, Kelly, this situation is just terrible! I'm so sorry you and your family is dealing with this! Big hugs!

What I don't get is why the cops aren't trying to find this 22 year old guy, who (if Lynn happens to be a minor) is breaking the law in nurmerous ways.....like sexual predator, rape, kidnapping, coercion, contributing to the deliquency of a minor, assault, and whatever else could be going on. I mean this is serious stuff! Goodness sake, your daughter ran off with this older guy. I'd think the police would want to get a hold of him before he can victimize her further..........or victimize another minor. I would insist they do their job and go find this guy! Otherwise, not only are they not doing their job.....their due diligence.....but they'll be somewhat responsible for future crimes this guys commits.

And, an update re: me. Well, the foot is feeling quite a bit better. Had a hideous looking little boot on all week, tomorrow I start going without again. BUT you'll never guess what happened to me. I laugh now, (though not too hard, it would hurt too much), but I have sprained my back from the uneven walking with my foot brace!:confused3 :scared1: I was in so much pain earlier today. I'm now back on that nasty medicine with dire instructions to make sure I eat ALOT when taking it, and am flat on my back for 48 hours.

What are we going to do with you?!!! I think we need to wrap you up in bubble wrap and duct tape for a while and just roll you around so you don't get hurt anymore. :rotfl:

I hope your back feels better soon. Painkillers.....lots of painkillers.....oh, and muscle relaxants are good too. Then you'll be like jello and nothing can hurt you.

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes for Ryan. Boy oh boy, he's been really sick all weekend. Poor guy stayed on the couch wrapped in a blanket all day Saturday. Then he was throwing up Sunday morning and stayed in bed all day. He didn't even play any video games while lying in bed. That's when you KNOW Ryan is sick! He didn't even want to talk at all.....and he wanted it very quiet because he said noise made his tummy sick. He's still sick, but I think he's getting better. He's home from school today, and I'm hoping he starts to make an upswing soon. I did manage to get a couple of popsicles and a little bit of a milkshake in him yesterday. Hopefully today he'll do better. :wizard:

:rotfl2:
Even after you saw what my mother texted about him :sad2:
I have no clue why your mom texted that!! Seriously, he doesn't look either one!! LOL

Beth, you should order a coffee, and if you don't like it you can pass it my way...same with a Red Bull... :rolleyes1
Keep dreaming. That only works with alcohol drinks in my search for one I like.

:rotfl:
He's 32. 6'4", about 225, former Marine and hair model. He does have 3 boys (13, 11, 9) and a soon to be ex wife. Let me find a pic and I will post it.
Really? He has three kids?? Wow. I kind of figured the divorced part from some of the things he was saying, but not the kids. Those are good ages though, someone could easily step in and play mom to those ages. :rolleyes1
cough*(wendy)*cough

Welcome back! I think I'm going with my girls over Easter break.

Yeah Beth, I'm working on it. That one website that you gave me had some great rates on the hotels.:banana::banana: And then, they are offering $40.00 off the Phantom tickets too!! :goodvibes
How cool!!! Let me know when you know for sure and maybe we can meet up.

Beth.. i don't like coffee. coffee ice cream yes, please.
You know what's funny. I used to drink it as a small child. My Grandma would fix it for me. Now I hate it.

Oh, come on! He looks ok there, but honestly that pic and those clothes (lol) don't do him justice. He's got a cute face, and a nice smile/laugh.
Is he really into partying? He must be if he has to keep up with his friends!! :rolleyes1 :lmao:

That's why it was a good thing I came on the trip! You won't even have to worry about making one. Once I am done, I will post a link to it on shutterfly and anyone can order their own copy.

Yep--that's him.

I'll tell him and see if that extra added incentive contributes to his recovery!

I will be so sad if he leaves us before MouseAdventure--I wanted Dawn to meet him!

Boy is this site moving slow.
It takes along time for a post to open, post then redirect, most of the time i'm having to open another window to the post.:confused3

Kertggr... that is very gracious of you to do! i wish i had the scrapbooking gene.. i need to get into that. i love looking at them, i just am not sure how to do them.

CheryL... we had an english bulldog.. with perfect health for four years..then all of a sudden a genetic defect kicked in and he could no longer process proteins. We took him to all kinds of specialists.. All kinds of tests.. prescription foods.. and in the end he was a walking skeleton.
:confused3 Did we do the right thing trying all we could to save him? Or should we have let him gone to sleep without pain and all that stress of hauling him to doctor after doctor? Years later.. with the distance from pain.. i think we fought so hard to keep him alive because we didn't want to let him go. If i had to do it again.. i would let him go so he wouldn't have to go through all that.

There is just no right answer.

So i'm sending *Love* and Pixie Dust for your cat to get better:wizard:

Thank you. I had a cat several years ago that I didn't have a second thought about putting him down--I knew he was "done"--this one--doesn't seem to be in pain. I was holding him at the vet and he just purred and purred and purred. So I don't think his time is yet--but if it is then so be it.

Chery - I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I'm hope he gets better.

Well, just a bit ago we got a call from the school. Luke is sick too. Justin had to go pick him up, and he's now home looking pale as can be with a fever and a tummy ache. :sad2:

He was perfectly fine this morning.....his usual happy, bouncing off the walls self. A couple hours later.....BAM! His kindergarten teacher said she was sick with it all weekend and that it hit her like a cement truck. Great.

Cheryl~ sorry about your kitty.
Dawn~ I want a BULLDOG so BAD!!! I just really can't bring myself to
spend that kind of money on one. Someday....and I want to name her
Matilda.
Kerry~ I am glad you are such a scrapper/digi girl! I can't wait to see the scrapbook pages.
