Hey Girls,
Well now that I read Luvinit's post I realized that I was rude not to invite everyone! Shame on me!!!
Well we did have a good time at the movies, despite the fact that there were ton's of teenagers, who instisted on sitting all around us no matter how many times we moved. The last time we moved 4 girls sat behind us. They talked during the entire movie and kept kicking our seats. Several times I shushed them, and twice I had to tell the girl behind my daughter to get her feet out of my daughter's back. UGGH! I was not going to move though!
I loved Legally Blonde, and although this one was cute, it was a little over the top. Well actually a lot over the top. So much so that it brought my impression of the movie way down. But we still had fun, and she plays such a silly DUMB blonde! I have a hard time believing that anyone could really act that way. Let's hope there really are no Elle Wood's out there!
Dinner felt like work though. The food was very good and tasty, but getting things how you want them can be tough! Dieting is not easy.
When DD and I came in the hostess asked if we wanted two adult menus. I told her no one child one adult. She sat us, and my daughter layed her menu down next to her and was playing the etch-a-sketch they gave her. I ordered the food when I ordered drinks because we had 40 minutes from that moment to be sitting in the theatre for the start of the movie. I ordered chicken fingers and Dr Pepper for DD and an Ice Tea with extra ice, the Blackened chicken sandwich without mayo for me. I asked for no fries and a salad instead. She started to say no, but then said she could bring me a tiny dish of salad. I asked for the dressing on the side. She brought the salad with the dressing on the side and our drinks. Mine had about 3 pieces of ice in it and it was warm. I asked for an extra cup of ice and she said "oh I thought you meant extra ice in the cup". I said I did, but there are 3 ice cubes in it and it is warm. I happened to notice that she brought my daughter's drink in an adult cup. Something made me think that maybe she didn't understand that my daughter was ordering the kids meal. I was waiting for her to come by, but I didn't see her and someone else brought the meal. The first word out of my daughters mouth was "this is the adult meal". She knew because there were more pieces and coleslaw. Then I opened my sandwich before taking a bite to make sure there was no mayo. I almost didn't check, but I am glad I did. There was MAYO! I politely told her, and also mentioned that Taryn's meal was an adults. She said that she didn't know and that she didn't see the childs menu. She said that she saw my daughter with an adult menu in her hands. I told her they only brought one adult menu, that I was looking at it (I know I had it, because I turned to the page and pointed to what I was ordering) and that she had an etch -a Sketch in her hand. She said that adults play with them all the time. She told me should would charge us for the kids meal. Then she said, I will bring you a new sandwich, but looked annoyed when she picked it up. I said I was sorry, but I am on a diet and can't have mayo. She said no problem. About 10 minutes later my dinner came. No mayo, YEAH! There wasn't much cheese on it either so I took less points. I also took less for the dressing and croutons because there was no parmesean and exactly 3 croutons (1 of which DD ate).
I asked for the Bill as soon as dinner started because we wanted to eat quickly and get to the movie. She only charged us for the kids meal, but charged us for the drink. On the Friday's kids menu, the drink is included. When she came back I told her that she charged us for the drink and its included on the kids meal. She said, well I didn't know and I brought an adult glass. I told her that the kids meal drinks are unlimited refills and that I bring my kids to Friday's because they have kids meals. She quickly took it off.
Now, when I got the bill with the kids drink on it I was half tempted to just pay it and get out of there. It wasn't like the extra $1.79 was going to break me. I had already felt like dinner was exhausting just getting things right. It was the principle of it. If my daughter is under 12, has the child menu sitting right next to her, I shouldn't have to say......oh I mean a kids meal. I have never had to specify kids meal before. Part of me thinks......Is it because its almost my TOM. She was pleasant and nice, but I swear that she started to give me a hard time each time I asked for something that she didn't do. Just the way she would say things like "oh I thought you wanted the ice in the glass". Yes, but do you see Ice in the glass. As if the things I was asking were unreasonable. Maybe it's because I am dieting and must be specific about the things I order. I think some people gett annoyed.
Well sorry to ramble, I just think it's funny how trying to stay on your diet is so difficult sometimes. Its actually exhausting!
The popcorn info was from Dotti's Weight Loss zone.

I know that if you go to the message board and go to the hitchikers forum (near the bottom) the first post is about popcorn. It doesn't mention regal, but I swear last year there was a post that someone had where they contacted regal and listed the points for it. Dotti's is a great site. Lots of restaurant points. Go to site menu, and there is a list of lots of things like meats, ethnic foods etc.
Hope this helps.
