Has anyone found a cute girl's halloween costume (my daughter is 20 months, just moving into 24 month clothes, but in halloween costumes that tend small is probably a 2T) that isn't crusted in glitter?

We are going to MNSSHP the week of Halloween, but i'm having trouble finding a costume i'm comfortable with. I'd like it to be disney (but not necessary) but everything I find is covered in glitter, Disneystore.com reviews all over the place "tons of glitter falls out". I got glitter in my eye not too long ago, and it was awful. The last thing I want to do is try to wash glitter out of a toddler's eye in the middle of the Magic Kingdom.

Additionally - it needs to be practical/comfortable for the MK on a late October evening. The long princess dresses look adorable, but are they really practical that young? My gut is telling me no.

Thoughts!?!?!? Thanks!!

When DD was 3 we went to MNSsHP and I had the same concerns. I bought her a Wendy dress from a lady on Etsy. It was super soft and she wore it for at least 2 years each park trip. It was perfect and Peter and the real Wendy made a really big deal out of her.

I agree, I would look on Etsy or ask a crafty family member to sew one for you.

Babies R Us has cute Disney stuff, dd has a Snow White one with a Tshirt type top and layered tulle bottom.. Also Disney has a Minnie Mouse outfit with no glitter dd has that as well. Bought that at WDW but I have seen it in stores as well. Dd also has the Cinderella dress and it was the regular costume dress. No problems with glitter or the length of the dress. She is 26 months now but wore those dresses when we went in March :)

Their stuff is by Little Adventures -- comfy, machine washable! So key at that age. That's most of what DD has for dress-up because the disney stuff was scratchy. For the disney costumes, I have heard to take some hair spray to keep the glitter staying on the costume and not everywhere else. You can always get your DD some accessories at the Disney Store like a light-up wand and crown if you think she'll enjoy those.

Must it be Disney? Old Navy has some cute options that don't look too glittery.

Disneystore.com has some costume onesies that are cotton with maybe a little organza on it (which is not glittery or scratchy). Dd wore the belle one all day one day this past week, and she was very comfortable. Now she was wearing a 12-18 month size, but I think they have 24 month as well. I'll post a link in a minute

What about something like Pooh or Tigger or another animal? Usually they are just fluffy onesies.

Last year I bought a Minnie Mouse dress at magic kingdom for my daughter's Halloween costume since it's almost entirely cotton. The bodice of the dress is kind of a stretchy black material, but she still fits in it now because of the stretch. She has eczema and I wanted to make sure her costume would be as comfortable for her skin as possible. Since it's the red and black, it was even easy to put a black long sleeve t-shirt and black leggings under it for trick or treating at home.

Disney store doesn't sell this one but they're pretty prevalent at Disney world too. My daughter's now almost 2.5 and will be Minnie again this Halloween. Loving the cost on that!
