My girls will be one when we go to DL later this year. How do some of you make your own autograph books? I was thinking of having not only the characters sign it, but those who make our trip extra special and if they would like to write anything memorable besides their name. If my girls react with excitement to a particular ride or waitress at a restaurant. I hope I am explaining this clearly as my girls are not going to remember but I thought it would be cool for when they are older.

I'm still working on this myself. My dd is 12, and I want her to 'journal' her trip. She wants to do autographs, too. I was thinking of index cards?? And that way we could use those and the pictures to scrapbook or put in an album? I'm seriously lacking in creativity. ;)

We used the standard DL autograph books but I prepped it by putting in stickers for the various characters. This way each character had their own page, which drew some comments from competitive princesses. Also, it helps make sure only one side of the page is signed so you can take it out and save it later.

Don't forget the click, capless sharpie.

Since the kids still enjoy looking at their books from 2011, I got them new ones for this trip. I added the stickers and they have started embellishing the pages already with questions that they want to ask the characters. It's a fun pre-trip activity.

They each have a separate notebook for journaling and I use the pages found on the mouse for less http://www.themouseforless.com/downloads/kids/journal.shtml.

The journal link that sandy sue posted would be great for your daughter sunb. I will have to put the clicky sharpies on my shopping list. My son was 17 months when we first took him and I took LOTS of photos and was so happy when he got to meet Mickey for the first time. That was a really big moment for me.

Any other ideas on how to make their autograph books?

I followed this blog post and printed on 8.5 x 11. I got character pages off the Creative DISigns board. Went to Staples and had it spiral bound and covered with plastic. Now I also did alphabetical tabs and a table of contents (some were by character and some by movie or some descriptor like "Fairies"). And they were big. And heavy. And awesome. I remember Jack Skellington talking about these and how wonderful they were and how Goofy told him all about them. :goodvibes Plus now we are scrapbooking the pages, cutting them to 8x8 (so I made sure all were 8x8 or smaller images) and the other page is pictures of them with the characters. Kids love it!

Might want to ask that last question in a separate thread as it is liable to get lost in here.
