Bridgette... Our 11th thru 14th stay is also booked through that home school program stay. However the 18th thru the 21st I booked through the AP rate. Check online first to confirm the dates and the price..then call to book, that's what i did. I say that as when I called first to book they had no avaliability at the grand, unless it was a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom suite for 759 buckaroonies..or a 1 bedroom or a 2 bedroom suite for 539 at paradise pier. I was like... ... then sad.
I remembered Linda told me about her AP rate...so i checked the site then called and referenced first the online rate and avaliability.

Deb that is cool you are going to Nickelback. We have tickets for the 31st so the next day!! You will have to tell me how it was! I assume you are seeing the same bands we are, Nickelback, Papa Roach, Hinder and 1 other one I always forget LOL. Nickelback is really the only one I REALLY want to see although I do like Hinder too. I saw them in concert with Aerosmith and I enjoyed them. But I have ALWAYS wanted to see Nickelback and have 4 of their albums. LOOOVE them!

Hope you enjoy the concert! I know I will.

Anyway I am about to leave here in a minute to go to mom's. She is going to be taking me to my doc apt today and I am droping the girls off with my dad so he can take them to church today since they don't have to be there till 10.

SO far knock on wood everything has been a LOT smoother this time but I should not jinx myself by saying this. The fast yesterday went fairly easily and I didn't get too hungry and the stuff this morning wasn't too bad either thank goodness. Now I just have to get through the actual test!

I just will be glad when it's over and HOPE he can give me something for the pain so I can go on my trip! Hopefully he can also recommend something to cure my problem too so I don't have to deal with this anymore!!

Anyway luckily tomorrow I have nothing going on and then Friday I have work and that night they have a big carnival at church in the evening to wrap up VBS. As long as I am feeling ok we will probably go cuz the girls really enjoy it. Then on Sunday they have a big service where they show a slide show of the whole week so we always look forward to that.

Anyway that's bout it for me. Hope everyone has a GREAT day and I will check in later when I get home!

Hey all, I've been enjoying a wonderful visit with my mother. It's so nice to have her here. The boys are besides themselves with all the love and attention.

Thursday is our big eval for Nathan to give us long term help and assistance. It's hard to get, and if we don't get it, he won't have any therapy in the home after he turns three. We will only get limited help at school. Please pray/ think of us, and that things go smoothly.

I so wish I could go to the mini meet in Sept. Of course, I wish I could go on every meet! I'm still hoping to stowaway with Stacie in October.

Donna, I hope you are feeling better.

This talk of sewing is making me miss it. I made halloween costumes last year, and am thinking of doing it this year, but don't think I'll have time.

Bridgette, I understand your feelings about the hotel room. My conscience gets to me about things like that also.

It is going to be cooler here today which is a nice break! I haven't had time to keep up with the thread much this week but I wanted to say that meeting Jane, Beth, Wendy, Stacie, Theresa and Marci was the highlight of my Vegas trip! Jane was the cutest birthday girl, Beth what can I say is just a beautiful person inside and out, Wendy is such a sweetie, Stacie has the best smile and it felt like I had met her before, Theresa, wish I could have talked to you a bit more without yelling, and finally Marci, the quiet one…hehehehe! I can’t wait to see you all again and get to know you all better!

The second highlight of our Vegas weekend was going to see Love….I loved, loved, loved it! Both Bob and I are huge Beatles fans so it was just the best! I gave Bob the tickets for our 2nd Anniversary and he gave me tickets to 3 Hollywood Bowl concerts!

Montreal is nice, but it's no Vancouver It is about 20 degrees hotter outside in Vegas, but it's also about 20 degrees cooler inside than my house, so it is a lot easier to deal with because you're not actually in the heat most of the time and you can escape it - whereas here you can't.........

Disney super mom... how are you doing, girl? i was thinking of you the other day and just sent you a mental hug.

I know.. CheryL spoiled me.. i've always been happy staying at the holiday inn when we go to disneyland.. but everynow and then on property is a treat. I'm just as happy at the holiday inn.. i don't mind taking ART.. and the rooms are nice. Sometimes the closeness of on sight stays is just too appealing.

Theresa is LoViN' Vegas! It's easy to get addicted to vegas... so many things to do..so many great places to eat..wonderful shows.

Heather... that's so great your mama is there! i know you will miss her when you go home. do you still have long term plans to move back to their near?

I have a room booked and paid for at the Grand for Sept 18th, but it was made with that homeschool educators group package and I don't feel like being interrogated on the spot if it happens. I had shared my feelings with Linda on my birthday and had decided I was going to cancel, but I really don't think I can wait until the end of October to go back... what to do?!

Hi Bridgette - I'm with you on this whole homeschool educators group room rate at GCH. I have the weekend before booked, Sept. 11 and 12th and I will be cancelling. Bob and I were talking and if I would have known it was going to be such a mess I would never have done it and I like you I do not want to be interrogated and I won't lie to get that rate. I don't want to pay $100 more either so I'm looking else where for that weekend maybe something closer to the convention center since I will be going to the D23 convention and may not spend a lot of time at DL that weekend since we'll be at DL the next weekend for Bob's DS's 13th birthday.

I'm just chilling at home, trying to get some things done around the house but not doing the best job of it. Maybe I'll throw in the towel on working and pop in a movie instead. I'm just in a lazy kind of mood.

Good afternoon all! I am back from my test and I actually took a bit of a nap but I am up now.

Thanks so much for all the well wishes. It actually wasn't too bad. Although apparently despite eating hardly ANYTHING yesterday and with my prep this morning everything still didn't get completely cleaned out so he couldn't see all the way but he still was able to see some of the problem and he prescribed some medicines for me to hopefully get me through my trip. I told my mom and Shane I am going to try it over the next few days and IF it works then we will still go but if not then I will probably have to cancel because SO far everything else I have tried has done nothing. THIS stuff is supposed to be Lydocaine which is a numbing stuff like they give you for tooth aches or whatever so hopefully it does the trick, at least good enough to get me through our trip.

He said that the sores that are wrong with me SHOULD go away eventually (although they have been bothering for 2 months straight now and I have NEVER had anything bug me this long) and he said if they DON'T then he will refer me to a colo/rectal specialist and I may have to have surgery to fix it. I HOPE not cuz I researched it and it sounds pretty painful. Not so much the procedure but the recovery. So here's hoping it goes away on it's own!!

Anyway thanks so much for all the thoughts and well wishes and I am really hoping that this stuff works so I can still go on my trip!!
