Courtney, I was looking at the pics of Hojo's in your trip report. I'm thinking maybe my mom and i might stay there on the girl's trip. I'm trying to find out the A.R.T. information. We've never stayed there.

OHH I wish I could! I will be at HOJO with family the 16th through the 21st. We really wanted to stay at GC but with my husbands job gone I guess it is good that we got the AP rate at HOJO. Hope someone takes you up on the offer and I would LOVE to see the inside of the room! That way I can better plan for when we are more financially set and can stay there!

The GCH is a bit of a splurge for me too. I'll be checking in on Friday afternoon for one night only. Let me know when you'd like to see the room and we'll work it out.

How fun! Sadly, I don't think my finances are up for it right now.

I found this on the Hojo message board, Dawn. We really liked it there, and especially with the entertainment rate it makes it better!

ART: Although we are just a short 7-minute walk to the Parks, the City of Anaheim does run a shuttle service from to and from our hotel and Disneyland! They charge $4 for adults, and $1 for children [ages 3-9], and those tickets are available for purchase at our Front Desk. The Anaheim Resort Transit Shuttle generally runs every half hour for as long as Disneyland is open. For more information, you can visit their website at http://www.rideart.org/.

Good morning Divas. Hope you're all having a good day, looks like LOTS of laundry going on. I stayed home today, feeling reaaaallly crummy. Think it was something I ate yesterday. Blech!

I'm bummed I'm missing a ice cream sundae potluck at work.

It's supposed to be 84 here today..............totally weird for us this time of year but I guess enjoy the ac bill while we can.

We're heading up to Lake Tahoe on Saturday to do some exploring. It will be Ayden's first time....I think he'll love it.

I DIDN'T KNOW some divas will be staying OVERNIGHT. I'm so excited! There's a $209 rate at the GC that night! I don't mind rooming by myself, but if someone wants to share let me know.

I think we will be staying the night or the weekend not sure where yet but I won't be alone...maybe I'll come to your room! We'll be there for DBF's DS's 13th BD. I will be looking forward to lunch on Sat. with my favorite people and it'll give me a good excuse to bow out for an hour or two.

You should have heard how I typed that when referring to Marcie as the quiet one!

I'm still waiting to hear news on my private loan! I'm a bit worried because it's getting close!

Wishing you better luck then I am having with my daughter's private loan this year! We were able to get the loan no problem the past two years. About two weeks ago they said that they could not loan her the money this year...ugh! I am not sure what they expect us to do...they lend us enough to get her through two years and then we are left high and dry for her Junior year. How can she begin to pay it back if she doesn't have a degree? So we are scrambling to find other options. Being 'single' I can't afford to pay it outright now so we have to find a loan somehow and of course I make too much money to get any federal money...funny how that happens, I don't make enough to pay for it myself but I make too much for federal money.

I really hope you hear soon and that they approve because it's not fun looking at alternatives!

Have fun! The last time I was anywhere near Catalina was last year and we went kayaking around one of the other islands...it was fun but not exactly a 'spa type'/relaxing trip! It was a lot of work!

Have fun at Catalina. We took DBF's sister and her family there on Sunday. We took the boat over. Last Saturday DBF and I took a helicopter over. That was a lot faster (only 14 minutes) but scary! The water was nice, we swan for a while, rented a golf cart, shopped and ate. When DBF and I went we hung out at Luau Larry's. They have a drink called a Wiki Wacker that comes with a free straw hat and a bumber sticker that says "I got my Wiki Wacked at Luau Larry's"

That would be us! Planners are us! I think it's in my blood...my parents are huge trip planners, I was a travel agent for 5 years and I still work in the travel/hotel business. Got to love it and it keeps me sane!

Vicki.. how kewl.. i was wondering how much the travel industry has changed since the internet became so popular. I bet they have seen big changes.

So I'm worried.. on my way back from san francisco..i have to transfer through LAX... and i've never ever done that.. i always avoid that airport because it's soooooOOoo big. But now I have to change planes there. I'm flying on southwest. Has anyone changed planes with southwest through LAX.. are the gates close and in the same terminal?

There are no plans for friday night as of yet, but there is no reason why we couldn't make some! I will be there with my family so would have to include them in anything we do unless I can wrangle my dsil to take the kids and just do something with you all and dh. Or we could stake out a place to watch the fireworks or fantasmic if it's running...the show schedule should be out in a bout a week!

Dawn don't let LAX scare you. I have flown in and out of that airport many times. It is no biggie. Just ask the flight attendants before you land if you can where your connecting gate is and they should be able to help you. If you have a close connection you can always ask for one of those golf carts to help you!!

I know we have a REALLY close connection in Phoenix when we come back from D.C. I know what you mean about big airports though. Have you ever been to Atlanta? Now THAT airport is nuts. It even has a train to get you from one terminal to another cuz it is so huge. So does Orlando. CRAZY! We are flying in to Denver this time for our connection which is a new one for me and also Baltimore so not sure how big that one is either. I was hoping to flew in to Dulles but Southwest had more flights to BWI then to Dulles. Reagan is actually closer to D.C. but Southwest doesn't fly there.

It will be an experience that is for sure!

You will do great though. Don't worry!!

Also thanks so much Vicki for the vibes! SO far (knock on wood!!!!) I have felt ok today. STILL have not been able to get my meds though cuz the pharmacy hasn't gotten them yet. I may have to wait till tomorrow but luckily it hasn't bothered me too much today. Although I haven't had to "do" anything today if you get my drift. That is usually what sets it off. If I can go a day without that it is good but the minute nature takes it's course then it flares up and it hurts for HOURS afterwards and sometimes gets so painful I can hardly stand it. So we shall see. I went ahead and started packing today since it was the first day in a LONG time I actually felt human. I worked out today and did some chores and mom called and asked me if I wanted to meet her for a quick bite and then she had to run to Penneys so I went with her and as always I had to check out the kids dept to see if there was anything cute and on sale and they had a few things so I got the girls a few things.

OH WENDY!!!!!!!!!! They had the CUTEST Pj's at Penneys with monkeys on them!!!

I just HAD to buy them cuz my daughter Shelby just LOVES monkeys. They have this brand called Bobby Jack that has all these Monkeys and I bought her these adorable pink sweats with the little monkeys on them and I got myself the jammies. The top is a tank with this raised little monkey that is kind of furry. It is adorable. And the bottoms are really cozy like fleece with monkeys all over them and it comes with slippers too!! The whole set was only 20 bucks!!

And they also have ones with frogs, duckies and some other cute stuff!

Anyway while there I also ran into a friend of mine and had a nice chat so it was a good day!

Anyway Linda you have fun with Brea tomorrow as I KNOW you will and everyone else have a GREAT weekend as well!
