Good morning, ladies! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

I feel like I'm getting a cold again. I was sick in March, again at the end of May and if I get sick again it will be 3 colds in 5 months. That's crazy! I usually get a cold once a year. I guess my immunesystem is low?

Today is my Mom's post-op appointment. She got mixed up with her days and was thinking her appointment was Tuesday, but it's today. Neither my Dad or (nor?) I could take her since we had to work, so DBF volunteered. I told him to take a picture of her incision.

Katie, that is fantastic about that suite! I can't wait to see pictures!

Stacie(lee) hope you have a wonderful time at Disneyland! Eat a churro for us!

Kelly, I hope all your doctor's appointments go well!

Thanks so much Courtney. One down. Today was kind of a waste. It was just a follow up from last week and since I am going to the specialist on Wed there was really nothing that my doc could do. She did say that the bloodwork she ordered came back ok and recommended that I call my urologist and not wait for my follow up that isn't till Aug. I am just afraid there is nothing he can do .

After my surgery in Feb he put me on this medicine and said it could take this long to work and for awhile it seemed better but now I am RIGHT back to where I was and I am just afraid he is going to say there is nothing he can do. Of course with the other issues I have been having that whole area is just NOT good. It makes it hard to do much of anything. It is going to be really hard to enjoy my trip unless I can get something resolved. I hope maybe SOMEONE can figure something out and like I said I sure hope I don't have to have another brutal test! I just want to NOT be in pain anymore! It makes your quality of life really suck when you are in pain EVERY day. I have finally got my headaches squared away at least for the time being and now THIS. It is ALWAYS something I swear! Anyway we shall see. I am nervous about wed yet hopeful that he can do something!

Hello!


Yesterday was very fun. We had an excess of people at work so I left early at 3:45p and went home to change cars and then drove to my cousin's house. My parents and little sister were already there. Sergio, my DC, asked if I wanted to go swimming at Daniela's house (his dgf) but I had not brought anything with me. SO I drove back home, picked up my stuff and drove back When I got back we took my car and his car because we took the girls (his sisters and mine) and they didn't all fit in one car.

We arrived and I swam for a bit and it felt SO good! Then we waited for Daniela to finish cooking and ate. Around 9p Sergio took them back to his house and picked up some more Margarita Mix on his way back. I had a virgin margarita and it was pretty darn good. Then we proceeded to play speed, slap jack, Taboo, Apples to Apples and scattergories. At 1:25am I decided it was time to leave. My sister and her dbf had left earlier because her dbf had school. I arrived home around 2am and crashed.

the best part is I get to do it all over again next week. I love summer!

But now it's Monday and it's time for chores.

Sounds like a lot of you had a great 4th of July .

I went to my grandma's for swimming and BBQ and then I got a call from a friend asking if I wanted to join them and spend the night at Disneyland.

Guess where I slept last night????

The Mickey Penthouse Suite at the Disneyland Hotel .

It was gorgeous and had a lot of neat details. My kids were really excited when they saw the room. We had the best view of the fireworks last night.

I have pictures if anyone would like to see them.

So it was unexpected surprise yesterday. We didn't have to check out until 2pm so the kids went for a swim this afternoon and then we came home. I was too tired to go to the parks today.

I would love to see them! How was your friend able to stay the night?

Not much to report here...I had a nice relaxing 3 day weekend. It was so hard to come back to work today...but then again that's a typical Monday for me.

They had a room booked at the hotel & at check in asked if they had any rooms left with a fireworks view. The CM said they were booked for the night, but to hold on. When she came back, she said they had a room with a perfect view of the fireworks. So my friend was completely shocked when they saw what room they got.

And I'm very grateful she thought of me.

I'll be uploading my photos this evening and will post them.

Tina-I'm always so impressed by how busy you are. You must be running one fabulous company. It's starting to sound like there's more work around than ever before, and I bet you continue to get busier. Congrats on the success! I wish I was closer to enjoy some of your cooking and friendship.

Oh and I forgot to mention that yesterday I helpled give a big bridal shower, for one of my very good friend's DD. About 33 people for appetizers, lunch and dessert. All cooked from scratch. I was pooped, but it is something I like to do. People have remarked how my friends and I should go into the catering business. No thanks! I love to do it for special ocassions and parties, but not for a job. It is alot of work, as Tina knows for sure!!! Tina, I give you kudos!!!!!!

My big Vegas news is that the last night we went downtown and as we were walking into Binions for dinner a penny slot machine "called" to me--so after dinner I went and played it while everyone else went to watch the Fremont Street experience--and I won $850! woo hoo!

I just wanted to thank everyone for the prayers for my family. My Mom's work hours got bumped back up to 35 hours/week and she got hired for a part time job. We're so excited that things will hopefully be getting back to normal. Thank you everyone.

Great news, Courtney!

My whole family and some friends will be going on our annual camping trip to the beach, at the end of July. I belive this will be our 22 year to go there. We love it!! But what is not to love about laying in the sun, reading a book, building sand castles, walking along the shore and picking up shells, swimming in the ocean, playing volleyball, cooking over a firepit, (even pizzas!),making smores and cowboy cobbler and yadda yadda yadda!!! But the absolute best part of the whole trip, is that all of our children still come with us. We are blessed!

What beach do you camp at, Mel? We used to do Manresa with our daycare families, but it's been a couple of years.

I miss you all terribly!

My dad missed the bullet again. (His words not mine, but it is kind of funny, in a sick sort of way.) Although it was touch and go there for a while, he's back home and doing better. He's eating better and his breathing is easier.....and his color is MUCH better. His heart.....well, not great, but it's still working a little. I mean the poor guy was very close to going towards the light, but some how he bounced back again. He's like a Timex watch I guess.

I'm not sure he'll still be with us this time next year, but after this last go-around, I'm better prepared for whatever God wills to happen.

I'm glad your dad is doing better!

Hi ladies....
I feel really sick right now. Chris just called me telling me his mom has just been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The hard part about all this....they had been running tests and they came back ok, until she had a procedure done last week and well, the results obviously aren't good. I just want to be there for their family so badly right now. I know I can't take it all away but gosh I wish I could do something to ease their pain.
Anyway, any and all prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Cute cat! She looks so big, but I know it's all fluff. So sweet.

It's been another crazy day here. I woke up to water in the house AGAIN! You all remember my Mothers' Day right???? Well this time it was the air conditioner. They 'blew out' the line, and the carpet people came back. All my Christmas boxes got wet again. I'm putting them in plastic crates now. I just didn't think it would happen twice! It's not as big of an area though, just Nolan's room and closet. So fans will b eon until tomorrow! Again! I think our apartment is cursed.

So I was going to have this huge yard sale on Saturday. BUT this past wknd 3 homes burned down on Sunday morning. So now I am donating all the items to the families that lost everything. Only one home, the one with the least amount of damage had renters insurance.
7 cars were burned, it was pretty bad.

So my friend and I were able to get a local storage unit to give us 2 months of rental for free on a 10x10 unit.
