Things will go in waves on this thread through out the year. It did for the planning for the 2 previous trips as well. Don't worry though it'll be busy again and we'll all be struggling to keep up with the amount of posts. I hope you're doing well. We're going to be gone for a week (leaving in about 1/2 an hour) for a family vacation so I won't be online until Sat night at the earliest.

Hi everyone!

I just voted for the meal, and wanted to give a quick hello.

Now much new going on here, and I agree with Steph. I'm excited about the trip in Feb, but have so much going on right now, as the trip gets closer. I know that there will be lots of us coming out of the wood work, to chat and plan.

Have I missed anything wonderful that last few days?

I took her to the new BBQ place. She used to love the old one (as did I). I scheduled it for mid-day partly because we wanted to do CA first and partly because I know it is often better to eat during the off-hours. In spite of the fact that there were lots of empty tables and they saw she had her bday button (and I told them it was her bday), they tried to seat us at the worst table, at the far side, by the kitchen door. You would not be able to see the whole stage from there.

I had to ask for them to give us one of the many empty tables that had a better view of the stage. Now many restaurants are guilty of doing this to two women but I did not expect it at DL.

Otherwise, the CMs were wonderful - really caring and doing their best. The girl that was inside the Jessie costume was just a sweetheart. She made a point of coming to our table twice to "talk" to us.

We happened to see the non-parade while we were in the shops on Main st. To see Gepetto <sp> getting down, well, let's just say that isn't pretty. This may be the worst parade DL has ever done.

That would really steam me too. Did they think they were going to get a huge crowd of "important" people or something? LOL. Glad to know I can miss the parade.

Oh, and Donna, I'm still trying to think of Bella's "official" AKC name but was thinking of something like "__________ Bella Donna"--whatdya' think? Trust me, at times she does seem like poison! LOL.

I am both Vitamin D deficient and anemic--led to some really "tired" days. I take Vit. D every day and a super one on Sundays. Have for about a year. I'm actually going to a Holistic doc on July 2nd.

Hi all! Another drive by posting. I do keep up with the reading, but don't get much time to post. I'm so sorry!

I'm honestly worried about the exam. I've passed the MN one, but the CA stuff is just kicking my butt! My mom's here now, for Ethan's graduation and to help with the kids while I study. As many of you know, that's a double edged sword!

Been thinking about you and missing you! I will be taking a quick trip to DL with Zoe on 7/1 for a girlfriends daughter's bday. (Zoe and she are good friends.) Other than that, don't know if I'll do Disney before the exam.

Big hugs to everyone. Encouragement to those who need it. Props to those who deserve it.

Encouragement to you too. The Calif. bar has the reputation of being the hardest. I will say that when I took it I soooo regretted all the "breaks" I took while studying. I didn't have kids of course--so it's harder for you because you have to continue to be a Mom throughout the study process. All I will say is that if you have a choice--choose the studying . . . . .

Did you see that Callie is finally getting to move to Washington into a beautiful house? And that Katie is one of five candidates for a job out of a total pool of 500? Oh, and can I try painting the picture of the sunset that you posted the other day? It's so pretty! (Assuming I get time--will probably need to wait now until after the Vegas trip.)

Other than that, I'm at work with Bella (who is so far behaving.) Did a lot of shopping this weekend--LOL--now I have too many clothes for the number of days we're going to be in Vegas! (but if I get a hot date I'm all set--LOL)

So the Food and Music Fest I went to yesterday was ridiculous! Lines for food were literally 3+ hours long. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Disney, but it was just really not run well. The event was from noon to 10pm, and they started running out of some of the food items before 4:00! But in the end, I waited almost 2 hours to get a booked signed by Bobby Flay, so I got to meet him, and Guy Fieri put on an amazing show. So the day redeemed itself, but it was a very, very dissappointing day.

Then this morning we got up early and drove to Watsonville to pick ollalie berries, so now I have about 16 pounds of berries to get in my freezer. I think I'm going to look up some jam recipes.

I think x Bella Donna is hilarious because of the poison plant... And Prima (Stacie lee's good suggestion) is also a play on Prima Donna... so it's very funny.

Hi ladies! Only read back on this page, so I hope I didn't miss anything too important. I'm just so tired. I had a really nice lunch out today with Amy and Jane. But I also had errands to run and house work, so now I'm just pooped.

Oh, and Bridgette, I did see your post about it being slow here, and like Steph said, it happens. Some days we put 10 pages on! And other days, barely 10 posts. Summer is here now, kids are home, lots going on. So no biggie. It will pick up again.

I've always wanted to go to Washington!

Well, I will post a date soon(at least for a Wild Waves Day) and I hope you all will come!

Things have been crazy here for me. The non profit that I am involved in sort of had a grant fall in our lap, so I have been working like mad to get the paperwork together. This is a first for me, but I keep having these really great people helping me, so it is all working out.

My little one has Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. Just a virus, but his poor little mouth hurts and he has a fever.

I finally got my flower garden uncovered. The weeds were two feet tall, no kiddin! My legs and back have been killing me today though.

And that's about it.

Things have been busy for me too. I am still in such a job/kid's school turmoil, haven't been feeling all that chipper.

Still don't know if I have a job come September. So far, I have had my hours cut 25%. The market doesn't look good for finding a new job at this time either..

Bummer...my knee is feeling a bit better, but see the ortho on Thursday. Hopefully will find out quickly if surgery is in the works!!

Hope all have a good time in Vegas and all. I will get back on more when I am in a more giddy frame of mind.
