*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

I have 9 days until knee surgery. My knee has bee killing me. I went in today. He wrote restrictions on my knee. I can't walk or stand more than 11% of the time. Never can I do stairs or climb or squat or kneel. It was a bad weekend.
But it was a lot of fun.

I had ankle reconstruction and it wasn't fun but I'm so much better after having it done. No more problems whatsoever. I really hope you feel better!

Deb: I hope your knee surgery goes well. Knee problems are a pain (literally and figuratively!)

Hi girls!

3 more baseball games! I am so excited! Kaeleb has one tonight & Wednesday and then Jordan's last game is on Tuesday!!!!
I am so excited! I am so done with baesball for this year.

Deb - I hope your surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery (and that you'll be good to go for Vegas!) It's not fun being in pain :sad2:

I'm hungry--what's everybody having for lunch?

I had a salad from Chipotle. Good, but way too spicy.

Biggest of hugs sister! I hope everything goes smoothly and you don't have to suffer a bunch of pain anymore. :wizard:

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Hugs! :grouphug:

Hi Sarah! :) Great to hear that you made it home safely! It was wonderful meeting you and your adorable family! The kids were just great and Bob and I were commenting on how patient they were and good sitting there for as long as they had to during lunch. I had the best time with you all! I hope that it works and I can run down to see you again when you are at DL in Sept. Bob also enjoyed meeting you and he is getting more and more on board with my new Dis Diva ‘family’ each time he meets another one of you fabulous Diva friends!!! I hope the kiddos are not too exhausted from their trip into Vancouver but it sounds like you all had a great time at the Aquarium.

To anyone who has not had the pleasure of meeting Sarah she is the sweetest person and I really felt like we met each other before! You are in for a wonderful treat!

Ok, now I am really off to do something to distract me from the lonely's.:hippie:

Awww, you made me cry! That was such a nice thing to say! I know what you mean about not really knowing what the others were doing because we were so busy talking! It really was like meeting up with a friend you have known forever! Hope your flight home was great...oh, and the WW points on the salad were 14 points for the whole thing. Yikes! :scared1: But could have been worse.

As for me today, work has been crazy. I am going to the gym after work and then going home to do all my banking/bill paying.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Sarah

i need vicki's last name... sarah? anyone?

Edited: well, there is no rush now. I can add it later. If anyone does know, PM it to me rather than post it here as I"m filling out a form for her.

Wishing deb a good surgery and a speedy recovery.... waving hi to Tracey!

Hi Gals,
Baseball is coming to an end with our last tball game tonight! I am so excited to get my life back. Hope to see me around here a bit more often. Anyhow, hope you all are having a happy June so far. Tracey

Tracey!!! Yay for tball being over 'cause I miss you sister! I can't wait to see you next month!

The wonderful word you are looking for is proprioception :thumbsup2

You are the only person outside of my chiro who knew that word! Dingdingding, you win! (what, I don't know)
Yes, it has to do with you sense of space around your body, just how far your body extends into the world.

Hello! :wave2:

I just wanted to come and share my excitement! I saw on mousesavers.com that they're running a 35% off property hotels for Disney Visa Card holders, so I switched my July 16th b-day reservation back to DLH from HoJo for $199. I figured that I'll treat myself with some of my ebay money. I'm SOOOOOOOOOO excited!

Bridgette, how long does that go?

Deb, I hope your surgery goes well. Big giant hugs to you. My Mom is having surgery on her ankle next month. She has a cyst growing on her artery. :scared:

Oh dear! I hope all goes well and it's fast and easy.

If anyone here is interested, the link went live today for the backstage tour at DL. The thread about it is usually near ours. I know some of the locals are going to be in Vegas but if anyone wants to know, it's up now. I predict tickets will go fast, even in this economy, as it's not something they usually do. No one under 16.

It goes until 9/30/09

Cheryl, here's the link http://www.mousesavers.com/dlresorts.html It's at the bottom of the section just above the "expedia" excerpt. It is 35% for Disney Visa Card holders. I'm so excited!

I hope this info helps!

bridgette, when you use your cc for this, how long do you have before you can cancel w/o penalty? Many hotels have a cancel 48 hours or 24 hours...

Hey Bridgette, I just noticed in your ticker that you will be in DL July 5-7; did you see that the Ent. rate just became available for July 5 & 6? I'm going to try and come out then, my DD 14th birthday is July 4, which we will NOT be trying and my DH birthday is July 7, so I'm looking at July 5-8; maybe we can meet up!!

 Hi everybody!

I'm sorry I haven't been here for a couple of days (I think). Our puppy was diagnosed this afternoon with parvo. We've turned our dining room into his own hospital. We have to keep him on tile because of the illness (I won't get into the icky details).

When I went to pay at the vet they told me they couldn't accept my check because the bank is out of state. So I sent Josh to the ATM to get $$ only to find out that the card isn't working with our pin number of course by then it was way to late to talk to anyone at the bank so I had to do some quick thinking and get the bill paid so we could get home.

After we got home Vash seemed to be alright, we were told the next 10-15 days will be a lot of ups and downs. We're giving him liquids every hour, he's not a big fan of pedialite but he is drinking his water. He's on 2 different medicines and is in need of a lot of rest and quiet. The kids aren't real understanding of quiet but we're working on it with them.

I know there are a lot of things going on in everyone's lives on this board but if you all could think good thoughts about him and this illness we would really appreciate it.

Hope you all have a nice evening.

Awww Steph--I hope he gets better soon. Do you have any idea where he contracted it from?

You got it. <bigsigh> I'm so sorry your family is going through this. Animals can be amazingly resilient though, I've seen it. Good thoughts your way.

The only place we can think of is the dogs that live behind us. Their 2 dogs and ours play through the chain link fence, if that makes sense. I have to go over there tomorrow to let them know. Josh mentioned that they've had another dog over there (that comes and goes) so it might have been him.

Oh Steph, I am so sorry. What a burden to bear. I hope your doggy is ok.
