*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

It's so funny.. when you are younger you work to get all the materilistic things and the big house.. then when you are older you just want a little casita by the beach with no tv.:rotfl:

Good Morning! :goodvibes:

Hope you all had a great weekend. My bf and I tried to watch Up in 3-D and even went to two different theaters. Unfortunately, all tickets were sold out and there were huge lines at the box office. We tried to use the kiosk machines (which are MUCH faster) but they weren't working properly. We decided to watch Night at the Museum 2 instead, which wasn't bad. Hank Azaria was funny :thumbsup2

My older sister watched Up and she told me it made her cry. I was shocked because she's always the "tough" one who rarely cries.

Good morning, Divas!!

Hugs to everyone. I know we all need it! :grouphug:

Dawn, I'm so sorry about your sister in law. That's so sad. I'll say prayers for her.

I'll find out the discount senior age. My Dad is turning 55 this year and that's usually the min. age for senior citizens. I can take my Dad places and get discounts!

Bridgette... i'm interested in Disney putting those rates out too... i don't know how old your parents are but check into the senior discount it's a great savings, even more than the ap discount.

They said those were the rates for Feb-Mar of this year actually. Since the rates haven't been released for 2010 yet I asked what they were for this year. Weird.

Usually the age for any senior discount is 65, as you legally become a senior citizen at that age. My dad is 66 so hopefully he will come!

I'll pray for your sister n law. That's horrible I'm so sorry that she and your family has to cope with this. :sad2:

I just called and asked and the senior discount rate is 25-35% and begins at age 60.

Ain't that the truth!

My thoughts and prayers are still with your sister-in-law and her family.

That's the third person I know of who cried! What on earth is this movie about that is so sad?? I don't want to cry.

Good Monday Morning Ladies!!
Hope everyone had a good weekend!! We spent it in the backyard watching the 4 little ones play in the wading pools. Lots of fun & super hot!! We even got a pretty good thunderstorm around dinnertime last night!!

Have a great day today!!!!
I'm jealous. I love thunderstorms!

!

I can send you a PM. I haven't seen it but I've read the reviews, which are all great.

Even if you can't get your daughter to wear the Frankenstein shoe, at least be sure she is in shoes that are not soft (like keds), or worse, sandals. This is to avoid someone stepping on her foot at school. And also, you can lessen your sense of awareness of the space around you - there's a wonderful word for this, I've forgotten it. This happened to me when I fractured two toes and then I hit the other foot because of this lost sense.

As long as she doesn't reinjure the toes, and the doctor has said they will heal fine, then it's just a matter of time.

Linda, I missed your post about which cruiseline you are on?

Dawn, so true about wanting simplier things as time goes by. Your sister in law trying to speak is a positive thing.

Sarah and Vicki - your meet sounds wonderful. Stanley Park is the greatest, I wish we had that here. Here in Calif they are threatening to close a lot of our parks! Unbelievable how this state makes so much income and yet we are broke.

The wonderful word you are looking for is proprioception :thumbsup2

I'm hungry--what's everybody having for lunch?

Hello! :wave2:

I just wanted to come and share my excitement! I saw on mousesavers.com that they're running a 35% off property hotels for Disney Visa Card holders, so I switched my July 16th b-day reservation back to DLH from HoJo for $199. I figured that I'll treat myself with some of my ebay money. I'm SOOOOOOOOOO excited!

We are sailing on Royal Caribbean - Serenade of the Seas.
This is our third cruise with them and Bree and I did the Disney cruise once (and are going again over Labor Day). I am so ready for a vacation, I cannot wait!

Congrats on the great rate, Bridgette - I love the DLH!:lovestruc
I can't wait to have a birthday drink with you.

I am curious about the movie Up, why does everyone cry?

I have no idea if she cried because it was sad or happy, I didn't ask her. :confused3 I might watch it tonight if possible. I don't think it will be crowded on a Monday night but I'm not sure if I will have time.

I thought it was a cute/happy story but I guess I'll have to wait and see. :confused3:

Hi Gals,
Baseball is coming to an end with our last tball game tonight! I am so excited to get my life back. Hope to see me around here a bit more often. Anyhow, hope you all are having a happy June so far. Tracey

We're going to go see Up at the El Capitan in 2 weeks. I wonder if people are happy crying or sad crying? Hmmm.. Who ever saw it, fill us in!
