Actually-when I got to the park at 5 p.m. they were allowing parking in Mickey and Friends, so all was good. Took the tram in and it was cool.
First course was the best--a mushroom risotto! YUMMY!
Second course was an ok salad.
Entree was osso buco with polenta and asparagus (yuck). But also some onions that had been roasted in balsamic--those were good!
Dessert was panna cotta (yuck) a cookie, some berries and something I can't remember.
But it was a lovely evening but COLD. We were at table 1 and there was no heater over us and it was windy.
Hmm, I have to say this doesn't excite me. I love great Italian food, but you've got a lot of yucks there. A good Osso bucco is a thing of beauty, did they serve it with long tiny forks? What was yucky about the asparagus?
Panna cotta is my least favorite Italian dessert and I would hate to be cold... for this kind of special meal, they couldn't bring in more heaters? Am I the only person who expected the meal to be more adventurous than this?
Happy Thursday to you all!
We are going for a week in July and staying in Curry Village in a tent cabin...just Mr. CA and me. I know I will be so ready for no tv, no phones, no internet, Bob and a good book is all I'll need!
We leave for Vancouver early in the morning from Burbank. I love flying out of the Burbank airport it is small and so easy..
I

Burbank airport.
Your summer plans sound so relaxing...ah....
You guys have fun! We leave a week from tomorrow for two days in Vancouver and then the Alaska cruise. We are taking Theresa's advice and buying HOHO Trolley tix. They are good for two days and we get to see everything that way. And good for you going to the gym. The closest I ever get is when we do DL, I always call it a "gym day".
Hah, I just had my gym day today - my pedometer says over 18,000 steps but I think I didn't clear it from the last DL trip.
Are you going on Princess? We did the Alaskan cruise out of Vancouver a few years ago and loved it.
So, we have four comfirmed for next year. We only need two more for a full table of DisDivas!
I really feel that you must really like the genre of regional food and corresponding spirits to get your moneys worth. Other than some bizarre behavior of one event guest, the evening was really, really enjoyable.

.
What did I miss?
And i've got my Mom's birthday present bought, It's sooooooOOoooo Pretty, ya'll are going to LOVE it when you see it! I think it's really special.
It better be, because Miss Sally is very special.
A week long party is nothing. My brother does one better, he parties the entire month.
That's my joke too. It's my birthday month I say. (when it is)
I got a new hairdo today! I got my bangs thickened (meaning more of them) and blonde streaks. I'm showing a pic so nobody get too frightened, I've been fighting pneumonia too and feel like poo. This is my "about to go to bed" look. For some reason people think I'm a mean person when I look like this.
Night Divas!
I love the haircut!!! Very chic.
So I just got home a little bit ago from a day at DL with Stacielee and Michelle. Stacielee's younger daughter and her friends decided once mom had her own tribe, they would just go do their own thing.
We did Buzz several times. Stacie hit a new high!!!!!! Her score was so high, the counter on the car dash couldn't display it.
We had good guns.
I bettered my score each time. Last one for me was over 300,000. Of course this doesn't come close to the Mistress of Buzz, the Queen of Lightyear.
The weather was perfect and mild. We were going to eat at Carnation but it was closed. Then we walked to the BBQ but even though there were plenty of tables, the wait was 30 minutes! So we ate dinner at a place that Stacie and I had never eaten in before; Michelle had. It's the outdoor place in NO square by the train station, near Haunted M., where usually a little ragtime band plays. Fun to try new places in DL. Stacie took a photo of her cake that she'll upload when she returns.
The funny moment of the day was when I was going to buy some small figures. These are in bags so you don't know what three figures you're going to get. I pointed out the ones I was hoping for. Stacie starts feeling the bags. She says, this one feels like the Haunted car you want. Then Michelle feels and says, "This one feels like the Daisy witch you want."
I buy them, go outside and sure enough, got the Haunted car and Daisy! Amazing what you can do with a little help from your friends.
Dl also has a special now -- if you spend over $50, you can buy a bag for $20. We were pooh poohing that until we saw how good it was. It has wheels and it has a telescoping handle. It's black and says
Disneyland on the side. The size and shape is like a gym bag. I got one but then found it didn't fit in the small locker I had, so I carried it all day...
We did Star Tours and got to sit in the back row - definitely the best spot.
Saw lots of strange outfits; Beth would have enjoyed the people watching.
We left as the park was closing (sometime after 9) to get ready for grad night. It was just as well, as we were all dog-tired but happy.
