Vicki--14yo veggies are the worst! hopefully she's not just eating grilled chees and cheese pizza like my cousin did when she was that age. If you are making a pasta dish with marinara, you can either sautee fresh veggie (zucchini, carrots, etc) and mix it in. If there are certain veggies that she likes, you can do skewers and bbq them when you are bbqing meat. One of my BFFs is a vegetarian, and we do a lot of salads with kidney beans, egg, cheese, etc.

It's 5:09, and I've already finished my first glass of wine. I'm thinking it's going to be an early night for me!

She does eat only grilled cheese, pizza but she'll have pineapple on it, mac and chees and tons of pasta but only with marinera sauce. Pizza Port is a must when we are at DL but we perfer the fried chicken at Plaza Inn. I'm PMing you now!

Yes I do--but if they're parking in Simba that's because the parking garage at Mickey & Friends was full--and they don't go back and re-park there. so if at noon they're parking Simba that is not a good sign! And there is no tram from Simba!

Hmm, busy day there. It just seems nuts to me that you're spending all that money for the special dinner and you have a premium pass and still you're going to have to pay to park (valet).... well, I hope the meal is fabulous - I expect it will be!

For the most part, I really like my job a lot, but sometimes it all gets to me. I wonder in this economy how so many have managed to keep their jobs. We cut back 40% of our staff in the last year. But, I have to keep telling myself how grateful I am to have my job. I had to tell myself many, many times today.

I have been in a crafty mood today, and actually started looking at scrapbooking stuff again! Heaven help if I get into that again. I don't have enough time as it is, but yet I still feel like I'm missing myself. Sometimes you have to find time to feed your own soul, right?

I hear you all about the iron ons and the shirt, that's why I'm hesitant about my design being the tshirt. Heck, I don't even want to iron on. I like the idea of the sleeve tattoo, and then putting the wording on the back, but that makes it not one but 3 iron ons!

Zazzle has some pirate princess designs if we want to go that route again. I like this one:

If we did decide to go with the iron ons again, I would do a dry cleaner also...especially if there are 3 of them to do!

Not much else going on, Nathan has been a handful behavior wise. I ran out of some of his supplements, and he's been a wild man for 2 days. He bit Nolan today, we all cried. I'm ready for calgon to take me away...

Vicki, I know you don't go to Camarillo often, but on June 6th, they're opening a Disney Character Warehouse for about a month and a half. It's going to be in the Target shopping center right past the outlets. Just thought I'd let you know since it's the closest one to you right now!

((hugs)) to all the sickies and ((hugs)) to you Heather just for having a bad day with the kids. I know how you feel. Some days my kids just don't stop and I need that calgon LOL.

Today that got their yearbooks from school so it is truly winding down. We also got a list indicating who is teaching what next year and also saying when school starts in August and I "thought" it started on the 17th but apparently it doesn't start till the 24th. So that is actually good for the girls cuz they get an extra week after our trip to relax because otherwise they would have had to go only a few days after we got back.

I am glad too cuz it would have been crazy. We also found out that the principal that we LOVED is not coming back. The yucky one we didn't like has been on leave for almost 2 years and this temp one we REALLY liked but he is not staying.

Oh well.

Anyway also wanted to say ((hugs)) to Deb for having a bad day. Hope you are having a better one. I got to my therapist today and they told me that the ins didn't pay for one of my sessions and that if they DIDN'T that "I" would have to pay. I was like uh NO. I paid my copay and that is what the ins is for. So we had to call the ins when I got home and they said they didn't know what the doc was talking about. So I was a bit stressed about that cuz I have had a BUNCH of apts since that one and had one today and have one tomorrow so if they weren't paying I was stressed. But hopefully they have it straightened out cuz I can NOT afford to pay for those apts! I am paying almost 80 a week in copays alone as it is!

Anyway gotta run get the girls from church. Talk later.

Oh Deb, I totally feel your pain. Whenever Ty is having a bad day at daycare (which has been quite often lately) and given all the drama in my office lately as I am pretty sure my boss is not going to be my supervisor by the end of June, and not knowing what our budget situation is going to be, there are so many days that I wish that I could just walk away from it all. But, then there are good days too, and those are the days that you have to focus on.

Hang in there, and be thankful that we are not among the hundreds of thousands of people who have lost their job and are struggling to find anything. I have two very good friends who live in two different states that both lost their jobs last September and have found nothing since then. They have tried everything including part time, hourly, retail and even some food service jobs and have gotten zero offers. These are bright college educated women who have so much to offer, and it's just about impossible. And thus, I count my blessings and I will take my furlough days (otherwise known as a paycut) with a resigned smile on my face if that comes to pass.

But, if you are serious about needing a change, then go for it! However, promise us that you won't quit your job until you have a new one lined up and a contract signed!!!

Frankenstein. I have to read it for school. I have to write a research essay on it. I have been struggling all week to read just Volume 1.

Tina~ If I could cook (ok I can, I just don't have the time lately, hence the mac & cheese & grilled hot dogs for dinner tonight), I would do catering. The only place that really catered around here closed about 4 years ago. We have a few places but the food is always well bland. Not so great.

Linda~ I am very grateful that I have a job. Other plants around here have been laying people off like crazy and cutting back. I feel bad for them.

Heather~ I really love that shirt!

Jane~ I won't quit my job until I find something else.
I do need a change. It has been a series of bad days & months.........

I know there were several people I wanted to reply to, but I just went blank . I'm really tired right now.

Deb- Sorry your job is stressing you out . Before I went on maternity leave my job was so stressful & there was a lot of drama. Plus I got loads of work thrown at me because others in my department were slackers. Almost everyday I despised going to work. So I know how you are feeling.

I wasn't too upset when I was let go, because it wasn't the best work environment, but I do really miss the money . But I didn't think it was going to take this long to find another job & now I'm getting a little worried because funds are running low . But I haven't really been vigorously looking for a new job too. I've only applied to a couple so far (I really need to try a little harder).

Hope things get a little easier at work until you can find something better .

Speaking of jobs, I went for testing today for the position I was applying for. it was supposed to be tomorrow but they called yesterday switching to today. It was a grueling 3 hours, but I'm glad I got it out of the way.

And just when I thought I was done, they let me know that I have to take a 2 1/2 hour computer skills test on June 10th. Then the best candidates who completed everything (application, report, questionnaire, 1st interview and 2 testing sessions) will get a 2nd interview on June 16th .

I'm tired just thinking about the whole process.

Thanks for the info! I think I will just need to make a special trip to Camarillo...it's not a bad drive.

I was feeling fortunate that everyone in my life is healthy BUT...my mom had her thyroid removed several years ago and they left a small piece hoping that she would not have to take medication forever well that small piece has grown two nodules and they did a needle biopsy when I was in Denver a couple of weeks ago and she called tonight with the results...one of the nodules is cancerous. She'll need to have surgery again and we are hoping that it is contained and that surgery will be all that she needs.
