Well I didn't get permission, but I'm sure it'll be OK. This endo is nice, but he has a strangely stern face. Since I myself have a stern face, I strive to not care about such things. Robert, however, gets really confuzzled in the endo's presence, and in that way it was really bad timing for me to be away.
Anyway, they were talking about the shot, and the endo said that you inject into "a muscle", but hubby, being a guy, heard "THE muscle" (even though "it" is not a muscle). I guess he got all scared, but didn't ask for clarification, and the endo was telling him what sort of syringe to get and that scared hubby, and finally he kind of whimpered about it, and it was all cleared up...but omg can you imagine how frightened R was for a minute???
But I guess now will not be a good time for him to get into Olympic Archery, eh? What with a probable banned substance being used?
The one good thing about all of this is that, besides giving us the probable reason for our lack of success, it's giving me time to drop some of this poundage! And the visit to SD is helping so much. Daily walks to the park, swimming for 1-3 hours a day, etc etc. And just not eating so much! Didn't realize how much I ate at home until I wasn't at home.
OH, and have I mentioned my tan? Despite 30 and 45 spf, when you're in CA, you just slowly get darker. Well, except for Nicole Kidman. HOW does she stay so pale???? Of course, for me, a tan means my freckles getting closer, ha ha ha.
My dermatologist would be happy with me, weird to say...when I last saw him, he told me to get out into the sunshine! Well, alrighty then!
Speaking of jobs.... yesterday Robert was called into the office of the guy who did NOT think that R would be capable, at the interviews. And the guy gushed all over Robert. Asked if he had any friends/colleages that he'd like to bring "on board", mentioned that they hadn't asked others that sort of question, etc. Then Robert got off work, checked his voicemail, and it was his OLD company, asking him to interview for a position he tried to interview for before! They lowered the "level" which meant that he's now VERY qualified for it, and the manager that gave him heck for trying to interview for it actually asked for him by name. ACK! It's truly all good, but still, WOW.

If this were next year, I could probably leave Eamon with the brother and jet off to Vegas to meet up! Sigh.
