I need to shop tonight for a $5 item for a girl...any suggestions?

I might go to the dollar tree but I'm afraid to buy 5 items. One girl may think she is getting more than another, even though it wouldn't be the case. It is for a girl scout daisy gift exchange.

Do you have a Five Below store near you? I was able to get a great selection of stocking stuffer items at mine.... Bath & Body Works also has a line of tween stuff as well that might be an idea... otherwise I'd be heading to Claires Boutique...Good Luck!

I saw at K-Mart - Polly Pockets holiday dolls (one doll dressed in a holdiay dress) for $4.99
I bought one for a gift exchange for my dd

Thanks. I do have a 5 below but it is about 40 minutes away. I was thinking about K'mart or Dollar Tree since it is only 15 minutes from my house.

What would be a nice $5 gift from K'mart for a girl 5-6? My daughter is that age but she doesn't get much stuff that cheap. I'm hoping to find a toy/game or something...

Hey, I may have to look for that...thanks. If anyone else has any suggestions, let me know. I'm headed out after work.

My DD loves Polly Pockets. As Auggietina suggested, the individual ones are just about $5 each.

We just had to buy a girl gift for $5.00 or under for my DD9 3rd grade class gift exchange. We ended up going to Target and DD chose a fuzzy snowman bookmark for 2.99 and one of those "clacker" toys (handle with two balls on either end of two arms that bang together and light up when you whip it around) for $1.99. Both of these items were in the holiday (seasonal) aisle, near all the holiday candy. I was glad she found something other than food to give.

Walmart also has cute gift sets for under $5. DD chose one that had a huge assortment of lip gloss and it came in a tin (like the old lunch boxes). She was really excited. Theres also a ton of bath sets or nail sets to choose from.

Lip gloss or hair elastics/barrettes or a small stuffed beanie - a snowman or something. A new set of markers and paper.

A book, play-doh, hair acc., a necklace, a small stuffed animal, art supplies like markers or stickers, Target had some board games in their ad, but I can't remember how much they were.

There are some really cute decorative socks that are around $1.50 to $2.00 a pair. Maybe get a pair of socks and some lip gloss or something like that.

Cute socks would be somthing different. I thought about getting those foam stickers for crafts. Dollar tree had a big bucket but now I can't find them there.

My DD6 likes My Little Pony's, which are around $5.00, or a little less. Also, puzzles, costume jewelry, books, card games like Uno or Go Fish. She also likes those fuse bead kits. You should be able to find all of these for $5.00 or less.

Another vote for Polly Pockets, or also the Littlest Pet Shops. We have bought both this year for $5 gifts for girl scouts and school exhanges.
