okay what happen last year (might have been in 2014) there were several giraffes at AKV/L - this year there are only 4 and they are young.

looks like all the other giraffes are at AK - it now has over 11.

that say the 4 giraffes stay close to each other - so they harder to see. got lucky - got a value safari side and they slept the night (until the CM moved them) there. So should not complaint at all.

so if you do the safari at AK you will see a lot more giraffes than before.

My guess is that Disney feels that it is more important to put a larger number if animals on display where hundreds of thousands of guests will see them, (AK) at AKL/AKV only resort guests see them and it's probably more difficult to tend to their needs at the resorts.

I'll have to check my pictures - I'm sure we had more than 4 giraffes outside our window when we there in December.

Between all the savannas that have giraffe? They do move the animals around between resort and park somewhat dependent on the temperament or other variables.

We saw more than 4 at Kidani in October of last year and none except one was young.

I don't think we have ever seen more than 4 giraffes together at one time on any of the safaris at AKV Jambo or Kidani. I looked back at some of old photos and there are usually one or two.

I generally see at least 4 at one time on the savannah at Kidani, which is where I most often visit. I have seen more than 4 on many occasions.
