At one point, I don't remember who or when, we were told that they were made on the ship. We have done it on 2 cruises and mainly the reason we did it the 2nd time was because our first one tasted so good, we wanted to eat another one. Unfortunately, our 2nd time making one, we did it on the last day of our cruise, so didn't have much time to actually eat much of it.Is the ginger bread that is used for Merrytime cruise houses made fresh or is it like the Gingerbread kits that can be bought in stores? The storebought kits seem more for decorating then for actually eating.

Yes. It "sells out" quickly.I haven’t been able to find a lot of information on how and when this is offered. Should I go to guest services on embarkation day to sign up to make one?
You can sneak them off (in your belly).Just remember that these cannot be taken off the ship.
What is in the picture above is all that is provided. They don't give you a lot of time, so what is above is more than enough. What is provided for decorating? anything in addition to what is shown in the picture above?

You can eat the gingerbread house. That's what many do.We didn't sign up for this as I don't like the idea of tossing it at the end of the week, but I feel like they could easily change this activity to gingerbread men decorating - it would be faster and everyone could just eat the cookie!
