I was at the Grand Floridian last year at Christmastime :santa: and they had a little shop within the large Gingerbread house. Does anyone know how I can order "Shingles"? Most important for a Christmas suprise to suprise my Dad (87) who was absolutely in love with them

Have you contacted the resort directly? DMIL just showed me some hand cream that she orders from there all the time.

BTW, I'm disappointed that my DS's class will be making Gingerbread Houses next week, but he will miss it.... we will be in DISNEY so we can make it when we get back :stir:

We just returned yesterday and we stayed at the Beach Club Villas. They had small gingerbread houses for sale and they had the shingles for sale also. I am sure all the gift shops will have them for sale. I think you could call them and they would ship them for you. The place that had them for sale was the Marketplace at the Beach Club.

Thank you all for the replys. I will call them directly when I get home.

Let us know if you have any luck. If not, I'm sure someone will be willing to help you!

Yes, GF has the shingles. They're $6 each. Try calling WDW merchandising, they'll be able to help you get it and ship it.

Just got back. The gingerbread house was amazing as usual, but I think I forgot how expensive the gingerbread is. I saw a really nice Christmas tree cookie/ornament. Unfortunately, it was $14.50. I got the bag of gingerbread instead ($15.50 for 1/2 lb.). In Downtown Disney I bought gingerbread men wearing Mickey ears. The ears were coated in chocolate to make a Mickey ears hat. They were hard to find and sell out really fast, but they are very good. You can use a snack credit to get them (if you can find them).

Enjoy your shingles.

I am so happy to know that you can use your snack credit for the mickey GB :thanks: . Where exactly did you find them?

Where exactly at Downtown Disney did you find the gingerbread Mickeys? We'll be there on the 20th and I'd love to get some. I just watched the Food Network special where they were putting the GF gingerbread house together and it looks incredible. I can't wait to see it.

OMG...I have has Gingerbread Mickeys with chocolate ears and they are GREAT! I got them last year at "Germany" in the WS. I think I wil have one tomorrow!! Can't wait!

i bought gingerbread men at the GF AND one of those ornaments...the cookies were tasty but the royal icing on the ornament rendered it gross. Blech. It ws very pretty, tho.

I had a great ginger molasses cookie at the Earl of Sandwich. It was delicious.

The gingerbread houses were awesome...
