Gilmore Girls Season Finale

Luke and Lorelai finally kissed!!!!!!
Dean and Rory!!!
I sat chewing my nails the entire last half hour. I didn't think Rory was going to head down that path but......she thinks Dean is her lobster.
Is the show going to end now that Luke and Lorelai are finally going to have a relationship? I hope not.

I guess I'm the one other GG fan on these boards! I haven't seen the finale yet, though, will be watching in about 30 minutes. I'm sure that Lorelei and Luke will go through a few trials and tribulations next season to make things interesting.

I only saw 15 minutes of it. (between periods of hockey) I missed all the good stuff.

I saw it too. I didn't think Rory would go down that path either, but the kid has weighed and measured every detail of her life for so long, I knew she would have to let loose at some point. I kind of thought her little exchange with Lorelai in the first few minutes might be a way of forshadowing a role-reversal between she and Lorelai in the next season, and once I saw the whole episode, I was sure of it.
LOVED the Luke/Lorelai kiss and wanted to smack Jason for staying and making her uncomfortable all evening, not to mention making matters worse in an already awkward situation between her and her parents.

I watched only a little of it, I didn't like the Rory thing. I didn't think she would turn out like that, in this show, she's better than that, but I guess they needed a turning point for Rory.

They do make a cute couple and yes, I LOVED the Luke and Lorelai kiss...hee hee, I hope it works out for them.

What a great episode! I'm so glad Luke & Lorelai are getting together -- it's about time.

RE: the Rory/Dean thing. DH usually watches parts of the show with me so he's familiar with the characters. He had a really sweet reaction to the end. While I'm sitting there thinking, "Go, Lorelai!" as she's bawling Rory out, he said, "Hug that child. Rory knows she was wrong and she needs a hug right now."

Guess this is why DD adores her stepfather so much. In the same situation, I'd be hollering and he'd be hugging.

I totally called it though! Her and Dean?!?! LOVE IT! (Hmmm...me thinks there may be issues with him NOT REALLY leaving Lindsay next season, eh?) I REALLY like Dean/Rory together...but Rory just seemed REALLY out of character last night...when she was trying to justify her actions to Lorelei...didn't seem very "Rory-ish"...she kinda seemed like Paris!

I seriously had TEARS in my eyes when Luke and Lorelei kissed...butterflies in my stomach and everything...it was wonderful.

Then Kirk had to ruin it by running out naked...too funny.

DD (17) and I watch this every week and love this show.

We wanted Jason to get out and Dean to get a hair cut. It was so sad to see Rory sobbing like that at the end.

Am I the only one dissapointed by the kiss, I like the "dance" the two of them did. At first I ahh'd then I no'd. Can't wait for the new shows. Rory is in for a mess of trouble.

Kurt....his whole life is drama. The night terrors, naked w/a pillow, Lulu, watching over the wood.... When Lorelei was talking to Lulu, she was so right..."Kurt is so lucky to have you".

Dean --- hmmm....when Rory called his cellphone and Lindsey answered....I think you guys are right. Big issues next season.

Jason --- okay, we knew he was freakishly weird (the guest room thing)...but staking a claim on the sofa?

Does anybody think Mom & Dad Gilmore will work it out? I'd hate to see Mr. Gilmore with the Yale floozie (whose name is not spoken).

Can't wait until the fall!!!

I missed the show last night-I was watching Colonial House on PBS.....looks like I missed quite a bit too.

I don't think I would have done it any different then Rory if it had been me.

I never really cared if Luke & Lorilei got together or not but it will make for a cute next season.

Yup!

I agree that there will be issues next season revolving around Dean not leaving Lindsay. I just hope they don't make him into a jerk but it seems like that's the way they're going. And he does need a haircut!

I'm not so sure if Luke and Loralei will really get off the ground or not. I can see them deciding not to risk their friendship by dating. Hope I'm wrong though .

Sorry Maleficent13 - didn't mean to be so "get your decoder ring out so you can understand my post"! heheh I just didn't want to say it.

THEY never really even said it...until Rory said "we were safe, don't worry" did you REALLY know.

Come on...the girl (well - Rory) is 19...and doing it for the first time at that age today? well - she's older then the 'norm' sadly.

No prob, Stinkerbell! I knew what you meant, I guess I was just in a state of disbelief. I have to admit, I didn't really see this one coming. It seems kind of out of context with Rory. But I guess we have seen her kind of lose it in other situations this season, so like QJ411 said, maybe they are taking her in a different direction. It's going to be interesting next season.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that watches Gilmore Girls! I keep getting booted upstairs so that hubby can watch Navy NCIS downstairs.

I loved the Luke/Lorelai kiss. Such a long time coming and so well handled. I actually loved the part with Kirk coming flying down the stairs in his night terror. I just hope we get to see an actual relationship develop next season between Luke & Lorelai.

As for the Rory/Dean situation, personally I wouldn't have had nearly as much trouble with them having sex if they had gone ahead and done it when they were dating. For them to do it now with Dean married is so out of character for Rory and is just wrong. I agree with everyone else, I don't see Dean leaving Lindsey next season. I kind of see Dean turning into the jerk that Jess has been. I hope they don't drag it out all next season.

Now I can't wait for next September!

I cannot wait until next season!!
I had to wait until almost 10:30 tow atch it because of the stupid Pacers game but it was so worth the wait.
There were parts that got boring to me but I am sooo sooo glad about Rory and Dean and Lorelei and Luke!!!

Yeah - I kinda tuned out during the Kirk/Luke night terrors discussion...could have done w/o that.

but DH had just gotten home and demanded attention...heheh...I have it on Tivo...will most likely re-watch.

I'm so happy about the Lorilei/Luke match - been waiting for that for months.

Not so happy about the Rory/Dean match. It seemed way out of character for her.

I also didn't care for the interaction between Lorilei and her parents. Just seemed way too forced. I could see them not showing up or just leaving, but not the whole scene at the inn.

Can't wait to see what happens next season.

Well it is a hit show, but the WB Seems to love canceling their Hits I can see next season being the last.

I loved the kiss/hated the other.
