Day 1
I eventually gave in and got up at 05.45 and had showered etc before persuading Tony to get up at 06.30! We gave in our bags at UC for some reason, great for us as they were priority tagged UC and not PE, and made our way to the Clubhouse. After a couple of Buck’s Fizz each and a delicious breakfast, Tony had a shoulder, neck and head massage and I had a wash, cut and blow-dry – an excellent cut too I must say and all the better for being free!

We boarded the aircraft to find we were carrying a total of 92 passengers! Our PE cabin upstairs which seats 42 had 14 of us! We started in 80H&K but Tony moved to 78K so we could both put our feet up on the side lockers. Lunch was, well, a little strange to say the least. Pasta/Feta Salad, Risotto and Profiteroles. Italian/Greek, Italian and French, all actually good on their own, but what somewhat stodgy as an entire meal we thought!

The flight was fairly smooth and service was excellent. We landed half an hour early, our bags were third off the belt and we had picked up the car and on the road within the hour.
• Dollar tried very hard to persuade us to upgrade to a 4 door from the 2 door Compact we’d booked. We resisted equally hard and they gave us a 4 door anyway!

We checked in at “our” Home Resort of BCV, we’d booked a Studio and were allocated one with a view of Epcot. After unpacking, walking around to get a feel for the place and buying our mugs, we watched a little TV, saw Wishes and Illuminations from the balcony and then went to bed.

A nice easy start - everything went smoothly for you. Obviously Feta salad and Profiteroles were the weekly menu as that's what we had as well.

Nice start to the holiday.
Sounds a very unstressful flight :)

Gill,
Just a few questions about the Clubhouse. I take it that it was the Virgin Clubhouse?
As you were travelling on PE tickets, did you pay for entrance or is one of you a Flying Club Gold card holder?

We bought tickets from VH. But when we entered they offered us the "free" haircut/massages anyway.

I love that 'start of the holiday feeling'. :)
