Gifts of a Lifetime

I've been on the Disboards for several months and am posting this message under a new nick because I want to surprise my husband and he reads the posts I make here!

I'm wondering if anyone has used Gifts of a Lifetime before? How was your experience with them? I'm thinking of booking them for a birthday surprise for DH. They've talked with me about arranging a treasure hunt type event, where he'll get clues from Lilo to lead him where his birthday present is hidden. It sounds like a lot of fun! It is expensive though, so I'm wondering about other people's experience with GOAL.

our trip and they were wonderful. After we returned, my dd regretted not getting a figurine of Pluto that she had seen. I e-mailed Jane to see if she could find it for me and she did. She had to go to all the parks and some of the resorts to find it for me. I can't say enough how wonderful she was and my dd was so thrilled!!! I am sure if she went to all that trouble for a small Pluto figurine for me - the rest of their service must be wonderful!!

I am trying to get GOAL to do a room decor for my DH..his first time. If i can swing the $$ I'll take pics and let everyone know how it was.

I've used Jane at GOAL 4 times:

- for a scavenger hunt/wedding vow renewal and birthday room decoration for our anniversay and DW's birthday
- for a 'Good Mother' event when DW was expecting our miracle baby
- for a Good brother event and photographer when we returned when baby was 1yo and older brother was 12
- and finally for a champagne delivery to our room when DW and I had a surprise weekend away to AKL

I highly recommend them, and we will also be using them in 2007 for our 20th Wedding Anniversary trip.

In 2004 for my 10th year anniversary I used them to decorate the room with balloons, cake, and some adult drinks. They were great! I will use them again.

We've used Jane twice and I can't say enough good things about her and her staff. Our events were top notch!!!! It is money well spent!

I didn't do anything fancy, but was very pleased with the gift basket they arranged for us. After having a bad experience with another company, it was so nice to find someone reliable....and she made the day for my kids!

I highly recommend them.

Unless I'm blind, I found their web site a bit vague...can anyone give me an idea of what kind of things they offer and how much $$. I'm thinking of taking my kids down for their birthdays and something special would be an added bonus.

DH gave me a Gifts of a Lifetime event for my birthday during our 2002 trip. It was awesome! DH said Jane was wonderful about everything.

The website might seem a little vague, but that's to keep the suspense alive. Jane prefers that details of events be kept quiet so that a similar event won't be spoiled for a future customer.

I used it too for DH's birthday surprise basket. The keepsake in the basket was the pair of wine glasses with Mickey ears etched into them. Very romantic, very good service.

We have used Jane & the Pixies more than several times. For an anniversay event & for several birthday events. They were all WONDERFUL. I won't post specifics...Jane does change her ideas around as needed but things will be similar for people. Jane worked with us to do just what we wanted! She will do anything you ask...within limits. I can't say enough about her!

Our events really made the person's day that was celebrating! My youngest son had an event in MK that he still talks about. Finding clues to go to the "next clue"...we even have pics of my 3 boys CRAWLING thru the ??saloon?? in Adventureland not to disturb the show that was just ending. It was sooo much fun & Jane was GREAT to work with.

It is worth the money in my opinion to have something extra special for a trip!

I used them for a gift for my ex, when a major job change (for him) resulted in my deciding to leave the graduate program I was in and follow him to a new place, where I began a new program...(it wound up not working out between us, but it wasn't because of the move...he was and still is a great guy, it just wasn't meant to be) He was very concerned about the whole situation, even though I was at a place where I could move from one program to another - and the one I went to was more prestigious than the one I was coming from...OT, there...

Anyways - he was trailed at Epcot by several GOAL employees who showered him with themed "gifts" (pins, animals, etc) that had notes/poems attached - and the final gift had a note from me saying that I was very proud of him and fully supported the move.

The prices SEEM a bit expensive, but given all that they gave us for the price, it was a great deal, and a wonderful surprise. Jane is awesome - she came up with the ideas, and she was a joy to work with.

Cannot recommend them highly enough!
