We are planning to bring a guft for our wedding planner from the Uk but also wanted to get her a gift card, would a Disney Gift card be ok?

I personally think something from the UK sounds soooo much cooler. It's a lovely thought though!

I'd say that a VISA or AMEX gift card would be the best bet. That way they're not tied to a specific place.

Is there somewhere I could go and buy a VISA or AMEX card over the counter?

The SunTrust Bank across the street from Downtown Disney sells them!

A VISA gift card would be great. I have seen them for sale at CVS and most local food stores in Orlando.

Sorry to thread hijack, but about how much did everyone spend on this gift? I'm trying to budget as much as I can ahead of time.

Thanks in advance!

I would not suggest a Disney card since they work there. The Visa or Amex card is good or something special from the UK that they can't get here.

Thanks for all the advice, we were thing of doing a $50 card and a gift from the UK.

I finally organised the gift basket. Check out PJ page 11.

I got to know my planner and picked up on a couple of things during our planning session. We got her a COACH travel bag and passport holder becuase she said she was going on a trip shortly after our wedding. We spent about $150. She loved it!

Just wondering when we should give our planner the gift basket and card?

We will see her three times that week, we have a meeting on the Tuesday for any last minute updates, the rehersal on Wednesday and the Wedding on Thursday.

We were thinking at the meeting on the Tuesday... :confused3

We gave our planner her present when we dropped centerpieces etc off at Franck's on Friday before our Sunday ceremony. That way we had one less thing to remember on the day of the rehearsal, but also because it allowed us to have a moment with just her to say "thank you" without so many other people around etc.

We aren't having a rehearsal or centerpieces. If anyone else was in the same boat, when did you give your gift?

I gave our gift after the ceremony..I had left them in the room, so our friend ran back to get them while we took pictures

Publix is a great place to get gift cards..they have cards from Restaurants, malls, visa and their own cards..If you live in Florida, you probably shop at Publix at one time or another

I want to do a gift card as well, but since I don't live in the US, where could I pick one up? I am flying from Buffalo, so I could probably stop somewhere on the way. Does Target or any other major stores that I am likely to pass sell a variety of gift cards? Thanks!:goodvibes
