..no, we're not planning on giving them flowers or chocolates, but my oldest daughter asked if we could make up little cards for the characters. She said that Snow White's could say something like, "You are the fairest one of all!", and Belle's could say, "You're a real Beauty!", etc... I thought it was a really cute idea, but wondering if the characters would actually accept these. Anyone done anything similar?

I've got friends that work as Character Greeters (the folks in the yellow shirts that are always with the characters), and they say that sometimes the characters get cards, and are happy to accept them. Sometimes they'll even be posted on the breakroom bulletin board.

We have done that, and they do love it!!! We also have done the flowers for all of the Princesses and a balloon for Aladdin because they did something super special for us one night. Here is a picture of a postcard that my son wrote for Mulan. We also bought her a pin that said "Thank You" and attached it to the card. She was so wonderful with him. We found a CM that was able to give it to her before parade and she held it up as she went by us. :D :D

I have it on 'good authority' that sometimes those special notes, pictures and flowers go 'home' with the characters and are displayed in places of honor. The characters are always happy to receive these mementos.

Just an FYI, when we saw Pluto at a character breakfast, my cousin's son gave Pluto a picture he drew, and as soon as Pluto walked away from the table, he threw it on the floor not far from my cousin's son's chair. I spotted it before my cousin's son, so I grabbed it and hid it so he wouldn't have hurt feelings because Pluto threw out his picture.

I can't imagine a character doing that on purpose. Pluto's paws are pretty ungainly. Chances are, he simply dropped it and, with his field of vision and the fact that he was in the middle of a character breakfast and had other meet and greets to do, couldn't see it or take the time to stop to pick it up again. If I had been you, I would have taken the picture, given it to one of the other characters (or, ideally, the character "wrangler") and said, "My son gave this to Pluto ... he dropped it."

My dd4 wanted to give cheese to the mice that accompany Cinderella at the meet & greets! Needless to say I did not want to carry around cheese in 90+ degree weather!! :flower1:

After meeting Cinderella in the Castle waiting area for CRT lunch, my daughter had to write her a note. Cinderella was gone by the time we left, lunch was over, but a CM said she would make sure she got it. It thrilled my DD - 8. She wanted to go back and ask her if she got it, and I was glad we never got a chance, but I'm sure with the training they get, whichever Cinderella we talked to would have played along beautifully. They (all the princesses) impressed me so much with their acting. I love the characters!!!

Well, I've been working on them, and they are turning out so cute!!! Thanks to everyone for your input! We've decided to make them holiday cards as well!!!
