Christmas is coming fast and I have no idea what to get my 15 yo granddaughter. I know the easy ones, clothes & jewelry, but what else is there that she may like? She has a computer and ipod, loves and rides horses. I'm stumped and out of the loop. Any ideas?

Hmm, that's a good idea. I know she likes Britney Spears. Thanks for the help Mushy.

Maybe some gift cards for I-tunes?

What are her interest or hobbies?

I like that suggestions for i-tunes. How would I go about getting a gift card for them? I feel so stupid sometimes as I know nothing about the i-pods. She loves horses and works at a stable for riding lessons. Other interests I'm not sure off.

I-tune gift cards can be bought online through apple, can be bought at any store. You have $15,$25,and $50 dollar dominants.

Does she like any of the old Disney TV shows?

First off, congrats on trying to relate to your Granddaughter!!! How about getting her a wallet and filling it with gift cards... I did this with my DD for her last birthday and she is still talking about it! You can do several smaller dollar amounts for store like Starbucks, Borders, McDonalds, Itunes or whatever she likes and then some higher amounts for clothing stores. You will be the coolest Grandma yet!!

That is a good idea, I'm not sure if her town is the same as mine but one of the big stores for us was Old Navy.

Itunes gift cards are always good-you can get them at most CVS stores.

DD is 15. She likes makeup, think some of the sets you can get around Christmas at the better makeup counters. She loves cologne, one of her favorites right now is "Fantasy" by Brittney Spears. Itunes cards are always good. PJs from Old Navy. Mall gift certificates. Movie gift cards. Does she have a digital camera? My DD and her friends love to take pictures of themselves and uploading them to their computers is much better than developing multiple rolls of film. DVDs, CDs, clothes - if she can tell you exactly what she wants. Concert tickets.
DD just came through and said, "A trip to WDW!"

Good Luck!

Penny

I'm 14. Although I do not know what your grand daughter's hobbies are, here's what I can reccomend from my perspective.

Giftcard to her favorite clothing store. If you're not sure what she likes, just ask her.

iTunes giftcard. I got one from my grandma for my birthday, and I absolutely love it.

Giftcards are a miracle.

I really like "themed" gifts. If she really likes horses, how about a gift card or some nice smelling stuff from Bath and Body works (or anywhere) for a little bit of self indulgence after mucking the stalls. Add a magazine subscription to a horse and rider type magazine or just pick one (magazine)up. There are also several, very beautiful photography books out there about horses. Does she have a favorite horse? Maybe include some carrots tied in a cute ribbon for her to take to the barn or some new riding gear. Stick it in a basket, and there ya go.

If that is too much, I really like what someone else mentioned about a wallet full of gift cards. I would be excited about that one, and I am a long way off of being 15. Happy shopping!

I'm having a t shirt quilt made for my DS15 for Christmas. I went into a local quilt shop and commisioned a women to make a custom quilt out of all his old t shirts. I used school shirts, vacation shirts and photos (she transfers them onto fabric). I picked the color for the quilt, backing and binding. I chose his favorite colors. I know it's something he'll keep forever and it's a great set of memories all in one place. I don't expect him to jump up and down for joy when he gets it on christmas but as the years go by he'll appreciate it more and more. Of course he'll have other gifts under the tree like i tunes cards.

The teen years can be tough and I think the quilt will be a great way to conjure up great memories just from looking at it. I hoping as he lays in bed drifting off to sleep he'll catch a glimpse of a WDW t shirt he once wore and go to sleep with a smile on his face thinking of that great WDW vacation.

If you did this for your grand daughter you could even use pictures of her favorite bands, singers, activities, friends, artwork and of course horses!
