Since I am havign no luck figuring this out on my own, hopefully maybe you guys will be able to help me.

I want to get hanukkah presents for the 4 kids i used to babysit since I will be goign back to see them during hanukkah.

There are 3 boys (2,8 and 11) and a girl (5). I know what I am getting the 2 year old adn 5 year old but I am completely lost an what to get the older 2.

Since there are 4 of them, I am trying to stay under $20 for each kid.

For the parents of boys, what are you gettign them for christmas???

Gift cards to the movies. I do this for most birthdays we attend now because everyone loves the movies and it easy. I get a $10/$15 gift card to the theater and then I buy one of those microwave buckets of popcorn from Walmart (they are with all the other micro popcorn and around $1.50 or so), then get two boxes of candy from the Dollar Tree (M&Ms, Junior Mints, stuff like that) and I get clear wrapping paper (I can usually find red at the Dollar Tree) and I wrap it up with curly wribbon. It actually makes a really cute gift if I do say so myself :)

Do either of the older ones have an ipod.

My niece is seven and as part of her channukah present, im thinking of getting her an i-dog speaker.

Toys r us have them for $20

Here are some ideas:

* pocket watch (don't know why, my boys are enthralled w/these)
* Legos...can't go wrong here
* Magic set (nice Melissa and Doug at AC Moore w/40% or 50% coupon)
* wallet w/some gift cards
* Science kits....I have seen (and purchased) kits at AC Moore and Toys R Us for around $10....can do 3-5 experiments and they come w/test tubes, which seem to make it more official!!

Happy hunting!!!!

On DS stb 8 wishlist...

a football
a DS game-Lego Star wars, Pokemon
Lego's-there are a bunch of the smaller sets for 10-15. Esp. the Star wars ones.
Wimpy kid books

Love the movie idea-i've done it but not for kids.
Also if the older ones have ipods/itouches-an itunes gift card for music and apps.
Sports illustrated kids

DS is 9 and all he has wanted the last several years is Legos. What about a book on how to make the best paper airplanes or a DVD.

I vote for a contruction type set. Legos or Knex are great and in your price range.

At that age a movie would need to include the whole family so if you do this I would make it a family gift for everyone.

How about a Bionicle? Those are not expensive but are "large" enough to look like a gift. My DS8 is super into Star Wars so go to Target or Wal-Mart or wherever and find something in that aisle for under $20, you can't go wrong. He also loves books.

My son is 12, and hasn't been too into Legos for a couple of years now. He's mostly into video games, but they can be expensive. For an 8 year old, Legos are great.

Maybe a Target gift card? Or I agree about the kits, like a craft or science project. Or a gift card to a bookstore, or books are great (it's just hard to know what ones they've read).

We also have a cool store chain here called "Five Below". It's like a glorified dollar store, but everything is $5 or less. They sometimes have some cool things for kids there. My son got a gift from there a couple of years ago - a paintball blaster gun thing, that he had fun with outside, and a speaker thing for his ipod, that actually works pretty well. He loves it.

Or, how about a new basketball, or an outdoor sports game set, like bocce ball or something?
