I have a reservation that I cannot use and will probably pass on to a friend. After I call member services and change the names on the reservation, do the friends then link the confirmation number to their "mydisneyexperience" site?

Well that was easy. Is there anything else I should know? Do I need to do anything for my friends? Such as make their magical express reservations or can they do that themselves?

You will need to arrange DME if they want to use it. Once you get their flight information, there's a webform you can fill out or call MS.
If they want to add a dining plan, you also would need to do that (payment is due in full when added).

Once they link the reservation to MDE, they can customize their MagicBands. If they have park admission linked to MDE, they will be able to make their FP+ selections beginning at 60 days from check-in.

You'll also have to arrange the dining plan for them, if they want to buy it.

It you've already linked the reservation to your own account, they might have trouble linking it to their account. When you change names, it should unlink from your account, but, if not, you'll need to call tech support to fix it.
