When we fly to Florida, I plan on packing my girls' carry-ons with all kinds of snacks and activities to make the plane ride more enjoyable. I would like to gift wrap each activity item to make it extra special. I am wondering with post 9/11 rules, if this would cause a problem at the airport.

During the holidays, TSA makes a point of telling people to bring gifts unwrapped. You might want to do the same.

I wouldn't wrap them. If they need to see inside you may be unwrapping your packages.

Put them in gift bags that can be easily opened by the TSA. The Dollar Tree has a good selection!

I used to do that with my DD pre-9/11. It was great. They really don't want you wrapping things now. The gift bag idea might work, especially since your carry on will go through an x-ray machine so they'll be able to "see" in the bags without opening them.
